Having some trouble figuring out how to save a video to my camera roll with new operating system. I've tried from both an email and text message. Please help
Touch video in message to show the play screen. Select the send icon (square with arrow) at bottom left. Select "Save Video"

I am attempting to save a picture from a text message to my camera roll. However when i hold the picture the options are "copy/More" More gives the options to delete or forward via text message. And if i press copy it only copies it to be pasted. In the past i was given several options to send the pic via email/text/save to camera roll/drop box etc.
Please advise as to how i can save pictures from my text to the camera roll.
Thank you!If you receive a picture via email or text message in ios 7 and when you press the action icon to save the picture and you do not get the option to save to your camera roll. Press and hold on the the image and you will get an overlay pop up to save the image. I have no idea why some attachments don't have option in action menu to save in the camera roll but by experimentation and earned frustration I found the above to work in certain situations.

I am able to save pics from a text message if there are multi pics; However, if there is only a single pic sent to me, I can't figure out how to save it to my gallery. Please help.
Have you tried to long press the photo attachment to get a menu option to save the attachment?

Maybe it is a silly question but I did download videos using "Save as -->archive" and of course when the video on the site was deleted, I had nothing.
That saved the web page, but that doesn't contain the actual video. That is sent by the server when needed.
I guess it's the same with video download ?
Another reason I ask is if it is so simple to just use Quick Time and it's free and it copy even without asking (all I have to do is watch) why so many ads for "capture videos ?"
Web sites often disable QuickTime's Save function, so you often need other ways to save video. -

This is what I ended up doing. I put the FLVPlayback inside a movieclip and put this on the first frame:

on the frame that the video plays on I have the video and a close button (which is a movieclip) and I put the following script:

close_btn.addEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME, seekCount);
close_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_UP, closeBtnUp);

e.currentTarget.parent.play();
on the following frame I have this code:

You can't save your iTunes films and/or TV programmes in the cloud, whether they will show in the cloud for redownloading in the Purchased tab in the iTunes app depends upon what country that you are in (they can't be redownloaded in all countries) and whether they remain in your country's store (rights-holders occasionally remove their items).
You can copy your iTunes downloads to your computer's iTunes library via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases so that you can take a backup copy of them, and not have to rely on being able to redownload them from the store. -

Unless the cell carrier would provide such a service, which if they do would only be available to you if you are the owner of her cell account, then it's not possible without hacking the iPhone, something we cannot discuss here. And if she has the account in her name, then as SeaBeast suggested such hacking may well be illegal. Even 14-year-olds have privacy rights. You would have to discuss that with a lawyer, though.

How can I save some music locally and the rest to an external drive or NAS?
I love my MBP w/ 16 GB RAM and SSD drive EXCEPT ... the SSD drive is lacking storage.
I'm trying to find a way to store select songs/photos/videos locally and the rest on an external drive or better yet a NAS, while still getting the convenient use of iPhoto and iTunes. Ideally, I would configure certain albums/playlists to stay local while the full library of media is on the external storage and when I plug in my iPhone/iPad the new photos/videos would upload to the external storage.
Has anyone discovered a way to do this?
Do I need to consider other programs like Lightroom to pull this off?Setting it up the way you have with the library on the internal and just the media on the external makes it a lot more tricky to move things around. If it was all on the external you could do in the time it takes to copy the files plus about 20 seconds.
You can use the same library file, except in that file are references pointing to the media files on the USB drive. Are you planning on doing this with the same USB drive that you are using right now>? It is possible it may work. If the configuration is that you have SongA on USB drive Fred, as long as the drive remains named Fred then you should be able to move it to a different point of attachment. If you are planning on using a different USb drive you can try renaming the new USB drive to the exact same name as the existing one and maybe trick iTunes into not noticing the difference.
This is where having as much detail as possible when posting an issue is helpful so we don't have to consider every possible configuration. -

In summary, it sounds to me as though the Mac concept of "hidden extension per file" isn't embraced at all by Photoshop.
So assuming the extension is always visible, what is the easiest way do each of the following (ignoring issues with integration with other apps):
1. Save a JPEG as: abc.jpg
2. Save a JPEG as: abc
3. Save a JPEG as: abc.
4. Save a JPEG as: abc.xxx
Since it seems to me we still haven't nailed down whether there's a disparity between how this works on Photoshop for Mac vs. PC, I'll answer the above questions for PC:
1. File - Save As, choose Format: JPEG, type (replace filename with): abc
2. No difference than 3 on a PC.
3. File - Save As, choose Format: JPEG, type: abc.
4. File - Save As, choose Format: JPEG, type: abc.xxx
How is it different from the above on a Mac?
Is there something more complex, such as the sequence of operations, or another system setting, that I didn't cover here? I normally always keep Explorer set so that file extensions are visible (it's global on a PC).

How can I save a video's position using the FLVPlayback component
I've got a video I'd like people to be able to navigate away from in my project, but resume where it left off if they come back to it. I would think I could do this by just saving its current position when they exit that frame as a variable and then using .seek() to go back to that spot if/when they return.

Hi! I took a video with my Nikon D3100, and uploaded it, or saved it, to my computer. I have tried e-mailing it and saving it to my Camera Roll but it doesn't work. I don't want to use Photo Stream because I dont think that will work. Thank you!
Photo Stream doesn't work with video, photos only.
What format are the Nikon videos?
Videos can be transferred to your iPhone with photos via the iTunes sync process - selected under the Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes. Place the video in a folder of photos on your computer that is selected to be transferred to your iPhone under the Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes, or create a folder for this video only on your computer selecting the folder under the photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes followed by a sync.
Photos/videos transferred from your computer are not stored in the Camera Roll. They are stored in the iPhone's Photo Library. -
I accidentally deleted a video from my iPhone 4s. I believe I am using IOS 7. As soon as I realised my mistake, I switched off my wifi connection, data roaming, etc, to ensure that no new data can enter the phone. I have not taken any more photos or videos since the incident. I have kept my iPhone switched on since the incident. I had not backed up to iCloud or iTunes or iPhotos.
Any advice? ThanksIf it is not on PhotoStream and you did not backup, it is gone.

Did you use Windows Phone? Iphone? or Andriod?
Remember to click Insert(rather than link to a file) when you try to insert a video.
Convert the format of your video to avi to check the issue.
