How can I save books in my Kindle app to iTunes prior to upgrade to ios5

How can I move purchased books in my Kindle app to iTunes prior to upgrade to iOS 5. Thanks.

Your Kindle books are stored on your Amazon account - so you should be able to re-download them from Amazon if they get removed by the update process (I think that mine were stored in the backup and were therefore restored to the iPad by the upgrade process).

  • When deleting iCloud account, how can I save the photo's & other apps etc that are stored in iCloud?

I have recently changed my Apple ID as my email address has changed & also changed my password.
I posted a question yesterday about this & have since discovered from further searching here, that I need to delete and set up a new iCloud account as my iPad keeps asking me to login in with my Apple ID showing my old email address (& doesn't accept old (or new) password). Also, naturally, I can't back up with iCloud.
When I go to delete iCloud account a message appears that my photo stream (& presumably other stored apps etc?) will be deleted/ lost from my iPad too. I currently have no access to any other computer (when return home I have a windows lap top only). I am therefore very reluctant to delete my account in fear of loosing my photo's in particular.
Can any one help with the above please? Would all my stored data (phot's, apps etc) actually be deleted from my iPad when deleting my iCloud account? If so how else can I save (later restore?) my iCloud stored data?
    Man thanks,
    NJohnR

I do appreciate your, obviously experienced, help.
When I went to change my details in the mail settings as you suggested, I was unable to do so. Yes- I could & did add my new email details that I changed to in my Apple ID. however I was unable to change the primary email & therefore iCloud still wouldn't recognise my new Apple ID & kept asking for my details under my old/ original email address.
Though I did search further after this in the iCloud web site & found further very similar questions to mine where users were successful by deleting the iCloud account.
So I went ahead & did this. As soon as I had deleted the account it asked me to login to iCloud with my new email address in my Apple ID which worked fine - & I have also retained all my data.
Again, I appreciate your help & time you spent in reading and answering my need for help.
    All the best,

  • How can I save books I've created and purchased in iPhoto?

I've created and purchased approximately 10 books in iphoto.  I'd like to save them for viewing and re-ordering at a later date, I can't seem to find any way to do this and its very frustrating.  Now several of the books are missing photos and text throughout.
Is there anyway to save print products?!

Books to not actually exist - they are simply database entries - so you just keep the iPhoto library that they are ins
You can duplicate the iPhoto library and delete everything except th ebook and the photos for it so yu have a small library to archive the book

You can't (easily).  You have to have a Portuguese credit card billed to an address in Portugal, and strictly speaking also be actually in Portugal when downloading.

    What is this "downloader"?
    Where did you get it?
Where does the music come from?

  • How can I save a page and all its component parts in a single file, like IE does as an MHT - it's much easier for mailing to people where page address not available?? (as in output from an airline booking site, for example)

It is simply too painful to have to zip everything up into a single file to send. MHT format has been available for years now from IE, and with every new FF release it's the first thing I look for. I have been using FF for years, and hate having to come out of it, over into IE |(which I even took out of startup) and key everything in again, in order to send somebody something in a convenient format that they can open with a single click.
I can't believe this hasn't been asked before, so have you looked at it and rejected it? Have MS kept the file format secret?
    Thanks

This is not really an answer just my comments on your question.
I am sure I recollect efforts being made to get mhtml to work with FF.
Probably the important thing to remember about .mhtml is that if other browsers do support it they may need addons, and may not necessarily render the content correctly/consistently.
There are FF addons designed for archiving webpages, you could try them, but that then assumes the recipient has the same software.
You could simply save the page from FF to your XP pc; then offline open it with and save it using IE, before then emailing using FF, and attaching the .mht or mhtml file that you have now created on your PC.
As an alternative method, in some cases it could be worth considering taking a screen grab of the required page, then sending that to the recipient as a single email attatchment using either a bitmap or jpeg file format for instance.
Something such as an airline booking may be designed with a print option, possibly it could be worthwile looking at sending the print file itself as an email attachment.

  • How can I save a book in projects on a separate hard drive

How can I save a book in projects on a separate hard drive?

You can not save "just a book"
The book is just entried in the iPhoto database and the only way to move its location is ot move the entire iPhoto library
You can make a special library just for the book so you have a smaller library to archive - see Old Toad's tutorial #9

  • How can I transfer PDF books to the kindle app

how can I transfer PDF books to the kindle app

There are many ways to import your PDFs into Papers for iPad. Obviously the preferred way is if you have a Mac and also use Papers for Mac**. The two apps can wirelessly sync their libraries. But also without a Mac there are plenty of ways. You can upload PDFs directly via iTunes, or you can import PDFs attached to an email from Mail on the iPad. Alternatively, use the Papers bookmarklet to open a webpage you found in Mobile Safari and download the PDF from there. Or you can use the built-in search engines to search for articles and download the PDFs.
