How can i save changes made to user accounts?

Hello everybody!
Well, this is my very first question to the community and i really hope you guys are able to help me!
Now my problem is as followed: On my MacBook Pro i use an Admin Account for personal usage, and then i got a Guest Account for everybody else than myself using my Mac.
A few days ago i spent almost an hour setting up my guest account in appearence and other general settings, i.E. the trackpad reaction or multi touch gestures. Afterwards, i logged out my guest account and shut off my mac. Then, another day afterwards i restarted my mac and checked, if those changes took effect. Now, surprisingly, the Guest User account was completely resettet and used something what looks to me like a standard setup.
How can i change this? How can i set up a Guest Account with certain rights, a specific wallpaper and only selected apps available?

That is what the Guest User account is for - did you see this when you logged out of the Guest Account?
What you need to do is to set up a new account that is not the system installed Guest Account with a name of your choosing.

How do you save changes made in iPhoto, and export the changed file. It keeps reverting back to the original.

How do you save changes made in iPhote, and export the changed picture file? When I select export, current format, it reverts to the original, wiping out all my work.

Try trash the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder.
(On 10.7 or later: Hold the option (or alt) key while clicking on the Go menu in Finder to access the User Library)
(Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)
What's the plist file?
For new users: Every application on your Mac has an accompanying plist file. It records certain User choices. For instance, in your favourite Word Processor it remembers your choice of Default Font, on your Web Browser is remembers things like your choice of Home Page. It even recalls what windows you had open last if your app allows you to pick up from where you left off last. The iPhoto plist file remembers things like the location of the Library, your choice of background colour, whether you are running a Referenced or Managed Library, what preferences you have for autosplitting events and so on. Trashing the plist file forces the app to generate a new one on the next launch, and this restores things to the Factory Defaults. Hence, if you've changed any of these things you'll need to reset them. If you haven't, then no bother. Trashing the plist file is Mac troubleshooting 101.

Click the lock if and enter your password, if necessary.
Then click on the "+" symbol below the accounts list.
From the "New Account" menu, select"Administrator" and fill in the rest of the information.
And finally click the "Create Account" button.

Swing .............how to undo the changes made by user

Hi,
i have created a form in swing asking for the related information from user whose value i m taking in jformetted textfield.
now i have placed two buttons there.
one is Apply and second is Cancel.
when user pressed Apply button all the changes made by the user must be set where as if user clicks cancel button all the changes made by user should be undo to previously set value.
can anybody help me how this can be done and what code should i write in action performed method

In my application,there is one Button called Option when u clicked on it.It opens up one internal frame where user is asked to asked to fill some parameters.
1) Now how can i restrict user to create one more internal frame unless first one is closed.
2) suppose i clicked option button and it opens up internal frame where i can set the parameters and closed it.If i again click on option then i want the parameter to have wht i just set.
3) and how can pass those parameters value to my main frame from where i m calling internal frame

How can i make changes from the user in TabBar with more button persistent? I´m using the Storyboard.

I have build an App with more than 5 Tabs, the user can change the order of the items, but this is not persitent.
How can i fix this on iOS 7 and i´m using the Storyboard.

Yes. In addition to what Bee Jay said, here are some other tips.
First record a pattern that's a few bars long, and don't tweak any knobs while you're doing this. Set a Cycle Range, because we want to play this pattern over and over again. Press A to make Automation visible (although there isn't any yet).
Find the channel strip for this track, either in the Inspector or in the Mixer window. Just above the meter, look for the button that says "Off." Hold down this button and a menu will appear. Select "Touch." Press Play. As the pattern plays the first time, pick a knob in the ABL2 window, and mess with that knob. At the end of the pattern, let go of the knob, and then watch what the knob does as the pattern plays again. Then as the pattern plays some more, mess with another knob. You'll notice that curves are being drawn in the Arrange window as you mess with the knobs.
This should help get you started.

New iMac 21.5". How can I set up a new user account with access to all the files of the original user account?

Running Mavericks on a 2013 iMac 21.5". I want to set up a second user account with different settings that meet the requirements of specific software. I need the files to be accessible by both users. I have made both the main and secondary accounts administrators. I have also enabled file sharing for both. Neither account can see the other's files in Finder.
How can I make all files accessible to both accounts? I read that administrator accounts automatically can see all files on the computer, but it is not working out that way. I have restarted the computer, to no avail.

How can I share folders between 2 User Accounts?

I have 2 accounts. One for work and one for home. The home account is the main one as I keep my work one (DJ use) very limited concerning activities running. I still need to access some folders that are on the home account (pics, music..etc.) but I see a little red negative sign (protected). I know its a simple little thing im over looking but cannot think of it.
Also, when I use fast user switching is the other account still running and using resources?

Log in from the home account, select the folders you're trying to access in the Finder, and change all three of the permission settings to Read & Write; if both accounts are admin accounts, you can optionally change the first two to Read & Write and the group to admin. A new group can be created in the NetInfo Manager in the /Applications/Utilities/ folder if you want another set of accounts to access the folder; to do this, duplicate an existing group, pick an unique name for the new group, and change its gid to 400 or another unique number in the 400-499 range.
The processes and applications opened under another user account continue to run when Fast User Switching is used to switch out of it.

Change the user account to an admin account. You can have multiple admin accounts on a Mac.
Go to System Preferences>Users & Groups>Click on any account on the left, and just make it an admin.

How can i share files across multiple user accounts?

I have four user accounts on the same iMac and I'd like to be able to view the files within each account. When I try access one of the other three accounts through Finder, the folders have red minus signs on them. If I try to open one, I get an error message about not have the right authorities. Thanks for the response. Do I change the rights by opening the folder, clicking "Get Info" and chaning the permissions to "write and read?" If so, I did that. Is there anything else I need to do?

I have set up a new user account for my son. I have set up his parental controls but I would like him to have access to the data in iPhoto and iTunes from the Admin account. I do allow him access to the applications with the parental controls, but they are empty. Thanks for your help!

Are they App Store apps or installs from disc/download?
Both, but App Store purchases are a clear minority, and aren't much of a problem, due to the ease of re-downloading and activating. The downloaded programs are the ones that present the problems. I have not been good about archiving serial numbers and the like, mostly because I've never had a problem like this before.
What specific apps are you having trouble with? For instance, I know that MS Office and Adobe CS5 for perfectly well for all users on my MBP.
This is a very long list. Let me give you some of it, and if you really need all of them, I'll add to the list later.

How do I save changes made to a sub vi automatically

I have a doubt and welcome useful suggestions from all of you.
I have the following problem:
I am programming a vi that asks a user for his/her username and password. The user has an option of changing the password . When he/she clicks on the option 'change password?', there is a dialog box asking the user for the old password and new password. If the old password is authenticated, the new password is sent through a global string to a sub vi. This sub vi simply has a table with user name and password column fields. So, on checking the validity of the old password, the main vi sends the new password through a global string to this sub vi and overwrites the old password field with the value of the current password.
My problem is this-
When I close the main vi, restart it and look at the sub vi, it doesn't show the new password. The sub vi has the original password as default. In other words, the changes I make to the sub vi are not saved on closing of the complete application. If I don't close the main vi and try changing the password any number of times, it works fine and does its job! But, when I shut down the application and start again, the sub vi has the original values.
Is there any way by which I can make sure that the changes I make to sub vi through the main vi are permanently saved each time the changes are made?

There is an invoke node in the server class VI. The invoke node is called: Default Values.Reinitialize All to default. this will set all controls in the VI as Default. Next you need the invoke node Save.Instrument to save the VI. both methods work while the VI is running and are available in the runtime engine too.

I afraid you cannot save these changes with the F12 developer tool. You could copy these changes to an external editor.
Note The Changes tab will clear if you close the F12 developer tools, but the changes you made with
DOM Explorer persist until you refresh the webpage.

How can I save contacts in a local account, NOT in iCloud?

With Maverick I seem to have no longer the choice between saving contacts on my iMac and saving them in the iCloud. Where have all my local contacts gone? I have only one account left, the iCloud.

Yes, her contacts show up on her iPad, but only on her iPad

She has her own iCloud ID but none of the contacts show up on it because they are in a group called 'Hotmail' and it is impossible on her iPad to change their group to 'iCloud'

I had already set up an account for her on my Mac, so her iPad is backed up. But when she syncs her contacts to Mail on my Mac, none of the contacts come across, because they are not iCloud contacts.
My question is still how do I get these contacts off the iPad and onto either the cloud or the mac so I can change their group so they sync in future and so that we can send a group email advising her friends and relatives of her change of email address. If this is not possible it means emailing a hundred or so people individually.
How sad that it is not possible on the ipad to select all contacts and assign them to a different group.

How Can I add/change text/description in accounting view of Vendor master ?

So that popup screen appears with the Description.
I need to know from where these descriptions are coming or where these descption can be maintained ? Because I need to add/change these descriptions to my vendors

Because these texts are maintained at Company Code level for the Vendor, they are part of the Accounts Payable configuration in the SAP IMG.
