How can i save my annotations for future use?

Hi,
I have several ePub files in iBooks that I annotated, with the highliter as well as the post-it feature.
Now how can I save those for fututre use? I'm not talking about iTunes sync/restore. I'm talking about removing the book from the iPad and use it back in, say, 4 years, or even pass it to someone else along WITH the highlighted sections.
In a word: keep the book with the annotations on the side OR keep the book embeding the annotations.
This is for ePub of course, not purchased in iTunes, but free books or purchsed ePub from external sources (like O'Reilly).
After playing with DiskAid, I got a copy of the internal annotation database (my iPad is not jailbroken) and was able to see all the notes in it. But any existing tool to actually extract and link those notes to a specific book would be exactly what I would need...
Possible? Hopefully yes...

How can I save a clip for later use?

When I am editing a project and going through my footage I often find a short clip that I'd like to use maybe later in the timeline or possibly to use in a different project. How can I do that?
This may be obvious but I want to rename and save that clip somewhere (I'm assuming the event library) so do I have to create a new clip from the original and save it or what?
Again, sorry of this is basic but its these litle things that seem to be the hardest to find out but make the biggest difference to the workflow and editing speed.

If you have a volume clips that you notice would be good for a particular purpose later, mark them with a keyword.

How can I save zoom setting for a DOCUMENT so it opens at that setting?

I find an optimal zoom setting for a document I'd like to use (say 42%) and want the document to open at that setting. I save the document with File>Save Copy. However when I open the document, it opens at the DEFAULT zoom setting set in the Preferences for program. If I change the zoom level here to what I desire for that document, obviously all documents will open at that default setting.
How can I save my desired zoom level for a document, which will most likely be different for EACH document, and have the saved document open at that setting?
This seems like a trivial exercise / feature that should be easy to implement BOTH by the programmers of the software and the user setting the zoom level.
Also, I want to suppress the bookmarks sidebar. I save without the bookmarks but the documents opens with the side bar. Can't THIS be set for each document?
Why is it so difficult to tailor the viewing of a document to exactly what the viewer wants?

OK. Sorry for the mistake in posting the question here.
Again it seems like it should be trivial to save a document in the Reader with a viewer's desired zoom setting. I find this very helpful as I like to use a zoom setting that when scrolling down the document only one full page of the document is viewed (like turning the pages of a book). Without this feature, partial pages are displayed when scrolling unless one experiments to find the correct zoom setting (often it is 60%). One must do this every time one opens the same document, unless one remembers the zoom setting.
Oh well ....

How do I preserve folder views for future use?

When I open any folder it seems to use the view of the previous folder. In windows 3.1, ME and XP I could set the view for each individual folder and it would be saved for future use. I want the folders at the top of my stored image hierarchy
to show me the list view and the folders below them that contain actual images to show me thumbnails. Instead I have to reset them every time I open them. Am I doing something wrong or have the MS(H)IT people screwed up this OS, too?
I am sending this to "Sandbox forums" because I no idea where to send it. Not one of the choices you offer make any sense to me. I just want to make this benighted software easier to use. If this comes to the worng place please forward

How can I save the web page by using the Page Title as the file name ?

When i use Internet Explorer ,I can save the web page by using Page Title as the file name(as default no need to adjust anything). But when i use Firefox ,It can not use the Page Title to save as the file name. How can I do that like in Internet Explorer?

I couldn't find the "Reload Page" icon and went to "Customize" found it and moved it to the top tool bar but when I clicked "Done" it dissapeared. It won't stay visible. How can I keep it there for my use?

I have V6 of Firefox and never had to worry about the "Reload Page" icon before so when I upgraded to V6 I was sorry to see that it was gone. Also the "Page Back" arrow isn't lit up and won't work. I have to go to the history and go back using that.. what happened to the back arrow? Now there are 2 clicks instead of one?
I went to the "customize Toolbar" and moved the "reload Page" icon back to the top and it disappeared when I was done. How can I keep the "Reload Page" visible and useful?

You see the orange (on Linux gray) Firefox button if the Menu Bar is hidden (View > Toolbars > Customize or right-click a toolbar).<br />
If you need to access the hidden Menu bar then press F10 or hold down the Alt key to make the Menu Bar appear temporarily.<br />
You only see the Bookmarks menu button if the Menu bar is hidden.

How can I save my login for website ?

My iPad no longer saves my login even when instructed to "remember me". It used to before the update last week. Is there a setting that is stopping Safari from doing this.

I upgraded my iPad2 from ios7 to 8 last week. In iOS8, some websites like outlook.com force entry of Username and Password every time the sites are accessed, even if the device is not powered OFF or put into sleep mode. I have turned Password Auto Fill ON in iOS7. On another thread someone suggested removing sites that are not auto filling from the list of password autofill sites and toggling the ON/OFF button for Auto Fill. I've done both but still nothing is working.
Do I have any options other than using Chrome?
Does anyone from Apple ever reply to these posts?

How can I clone my drive for future reinstall?

For security reasons, I need to format my Mountain Lion rMBP to original for the next month. I want to clone my current drive, then format the drive and do a clean reinstall of OS X, then about a month from now, reinstall my cloned drive. What would be the safest & easiest way to accomplish this?

Clone Lion/Mountain Lion using Restore Option of Disk Utility
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
     1. Select Disk Utility from the main menu then press the Continue
         button.
     2. Select the destination volume from the left side list.
     3. Click on the Restore tab in the DU main window.
     4. Select the destination volume from the left side list and drag it
         to the Destination entry field.
     5. Select the source volume from the left side list and drag it to
         the Source entry field.
     6. Double-check you got it right, then click on the Restore button.
Destination means the external backup drive. Source means the internal startup drive.

How can I save a video's position using the FLVPlayback component

I've got a video I'd like people to be able to navigate away from in my project, but resume where it left off if they come back to it. I would think I could do this by just saving its current position when they exit that frame as a variable and then using .seek() to go back to that spot if/when they return.
The only problem is that I can't find any script to capture the current position. I tried .time, but it gives me an error.

This is what I ended up doing. I put the FLVPlayback inside a movieclip and put this on the first frame:

Thanks for replying. Version 1. it did eventually install! Even though I get the message "the currently installed sound card driver does not support Direct Sound Input. Recording audio is not possible" I am not sure if this really matters. I can load video media and it plays sound. I am decommissioning on XP desktop to a not quite so old laptop so it looks like I will be able to transfer old Elements files which I did not want to loose just yet. So far so good.

I am taking temp readings with a 4 channel DAQ, sending them to a waveform graph and exporting the data to excel, how do I manipulate the graph to take a continuous reading as opposed to losing the previous GUI and how can I save the entire graph?

That is the nature of the chart -- everything not in the history is lost (it is a FIFO buffer of length=1024 samples by default).
The scroll bar is probably grayed out because you're show all of the data.
Attached is a program that will add 5 random points to a graph and prompt you for a file location where to save a JPG snapshot of the graph. It's not particularly good programming style, but it has all of the elements/concepts you're after.

Well the first thing you could try, since the content is free, is to delete the video you've already downloaded and try again. However in this case I can confirm the video freeze frames as about 4:12 and the last 3 minutes plays with that static image and no audio.
Find the series in the iTunes Store and either use the Report a Concern link to report "Difficulty playing episode" or click the link for the series producer's website and look for contact information there. Point Blank have a contact form here.
