How can I save song created in GarageBand as a MIDI file

Is this possible, I'm an old user of Cubase, and before SMPTETrack (someone remembers?) so Midi files are for me an obvious think. In GarageBand a new nice program for begginers and fans of music easily produced I found a little problems finding how to save my data as MIDI files, if someone could help me to resolve this issue I'll greatly appreciate some words of help

Sorry, GB doesn't output any midi data, neither streaming nor as a file. You can open GB files in Logic and then export them as midi.

If you use VI server method "Get Panel Image" and use "Write JPG file" ( or BPM) it works fine.

How can I export songs with full info (INCLUDING LYRICS) to file for future use? [x]

Hi everyone,
I got my new iPod touch 4th gen, and I spend literally all day to edit songs' info like Artist, Lyrics, Album... with like thousand songs.. Then I've tried to export them fully for future use as back up, but I could not find any option to do so. Exporting library and playlist only saves info for basic tags but no lyrics in it. So what should I do? I've tried iTunes Export and mp3Tag but I still could not do it.
I would appreciate much any help for me to back up full information of songs for future use.

I forgot to mention the dimensions I need the file to be at, sorry. Overnight Prints requires that the uploaded file be at 2.13 inches wide by 6.13 inches high (or 638 by 1838 pixels) at 300 dpi. I think I understand what Scott Falkner means by pixels are not a unit of measure. However, I have been using inches in Illustrator, with the file being set to the height and width (in inches) required by Overnight Prints.
Here is what I have uploaded to Overnight Prints so far:
- Illustrator file set to 2.13 inches wide by 6.13 inches high – Upload preview on Overnight Prints is correct size, but shows the bookmark as pixelated/blurry.
- Saved above Illustrator file as copy: “Press Quality Preset” PDF – Upload preview on Overnight Prints is correct size, but the bookmark is still pixelated/blurry.
- Exported same Illustrator file as a PNG (638 pixels wide by 1838 pixels high - 300dpi) – Upload preview on Overnight Prints is correct size, but shows the bookmark as pixelated/blurry.
- Creating an Illustrator file at 638 by 1838 pixels makes any file that is uploaded preview on Overnight Prints as too large, but not pixelated/blurry (I think I now understand why, just covering all my bases).
So, I guess my more specific question would be:
How can I create a file that I can upload to Overnight Prints (TIF, PDF, JPG, EPS, PNG, or AI) that ends up at the dimensions (in inches) required, while not appearing (at least in the upload preview) as low resolution (pixelated/blurry)?

Okay, I would like to save a Numbers spreadsheet as a tab delimited file. But of course I can't do that, since Numbers only saves as a comma separated values file.
Plan B: I can open up a CSV file created by Numbers in TextEdit, and I would like to Find and Replace all the commas with tabs. So I open up the Find window, enter a comma under Find, but of course when I put the cursor in the Replace blank and hit the Tab key, it just goes to the next blank instead of giving me a Tab.
Is there a way I can get a Tab into that blank so I can replace all the commas with tabs?

When we use TextEdit as I described, rows are separated by Returns.
It appears that your program requires LineFeeds.
Here is a neat soluce.

I need a vector smart logo that is on a PSD layer as a vector file in illustrator so I can plot cut on a vinyl cutter. How can I make sure the logo transfers as .ai at the exact size showen in the Photoshop document? I remember doiing this a few years ago but forgot the proceedure. It's probably a very easy step and once I have the answer I'll say "oh that's right I remember now" The export path to Ilustrator only gives me the saved paths in this document.

Can't import song created in Garageband into slideshow

Hi all, I put together a little tune in Garageband to use in one of my clients slideshows, saved it and have since tried to use it in the slideshow. It wont play. I have selected it in music settings under Garageband where it was saved and it wont work. Also, I imported it into iTunes and when back in iPhoto selected it from iTunes in music settings - still no success. When in music settings, when the tune is selected it will play when I choose the play button, but just not when I run the slideshow.
I can go ahead and import both the slideshow and tune into iMovie, but that takes oodles of time and from what I gather, it shouldn't be necessary. iLife applications are made to work together, right? Seems to me a tune made in Garaageband should work in iPhoto.
Oh, the tune saved with .band as its extension. I have tried to Save As with a different ext, but Garaageband wont allow it.
Any help out there will be greatly appreciated. Monica

inside garage band you can select from the main menu. 'share', then select 'send to itunes' it will load your song to itunes (it should load it as an .AIFF file), and then you can select it from iphoto,when i creating a slide show there is an itunes button, you will see you song now and can play it.

I doesn't seem to matter if I take a copy while editing or before I start editing, I can always reset the original and start again.
Is it possible to rename the copy? I had a look around here and in LR Help but rename doesn't come together with virtual copy.

I have been looking at ways to do this for a while. My main VI saves the raw data to a text file which the users then import to Excel and plot. I am trying to simplify this process and have been looking at ways to accomplish this task. I want to be able to save the raw data to a file and then save the Labview graph as well. This will eliminate the tedious task of importing the raw data into Excel and plotting it. I can save the raw data to its own file and I can use the Get Image method for the graph and save it to its own file. I am currently using the .png format. Is there a way of saving both to the same file ie, importing the image into Excel or Word etc. Before I go off doing a science project I wanted to see if anyone else had experience completing this task and had any recommendations. Thanks in advance for any help.

well ther are a couple of ways. You could use the standard report generation VI's and make a complete report with the image of the graph embedded into the report with the raw data or you could use activeX and control excel thru LV and put the raw data into excel directly and have excel graph the data without any user interaction. I have posted a slew of VI's on the excel board if you do not have the report generation toolkit. If you could tell me which way you want to go I could possibly send you an example.

How Can I save and upload a Muse website as .htm files?

I have recently updated my website www.silverdogmusic.co.uk with Adobe Muse. The problem I have is that all my lovely SEO that I have built up over the last five years is pointing at .htm and there is no way to save a .htm file extention with Muse, only an option to save as .html, so I am currently paying a coder to change this for me every time I upload a new page or link, which not only defies the object of using Muse in the first place but is also costly and time consuming.
