How can I save to my pc some photos that I received on my iPhone 5 via text message from my granddaughter?

My granddaughter sent a text message to my iPhone 5 (IOS 8.1), and included some photos from a soccer tourney. I saved the photos to the iPhone, and they show up on the iPhone in the camera roll.  I'd like to transfer some of them to my Windows7 PC, but can't figure it out. When I open  Windows Explorer, many photos from my iPhone show, but not the ones from Elizabeth.  Can anyone help me?

You can download iCloud for Windows program and turn on Photo Stream in your iPhone (Settings > iCloud > Photos, then turn on My Photo Stream)
Now, your new photos will be downloaded to your PC as soon as they are uploaded to iCloud automatically.
Or you can download something like iExplorer for PC (any third-party app) that can browse files in iPhone. With that, you can open your photo library in iPhone and drag and drop to the Desktop the photos you need.
One more way is browsing manually folders in your iPhone in Windows Explorer and just checking every folder in DCIM. In my case, the folder with the latest images was the pre-last one. There is a chance that you just didn't see the right photo last time you were checking iPhone folders, but if you know it is in Camera Roll, then it is 100% in DCIM, so the fastest way is just checking folders one more time.

Open the text, tap on the picture - then hit the icon on the bottom left - you'll see a bunch on options.

How can I save a picture in Photoshop Elements that was emailed to me using Photoshop Elements?

Save the attachment in a folder.
    From the Organizer menu choose:
File >> Get Photos & Videos >> From Files & Folders
Navigate to your image and click Open.
If the photo is embedded, make a copy or screen grab and then whilst it’s still held in memory open the Elements Editor.
    From the menu click:
File >> New >> Image from clipboard
Then use File >> Save As
    Then choose jpeg.

It depends where you bought the book...
If it came from the Kindle Store, you can read it on your PC by using the Kindle for PC app.
If it is an iBook that you bought from Apple, it can only be read on an iOS device.  Not only can you not read it on a PC, you can't even read it on a Mac!!!

  • HT4007 I Just updated Apeture to 3.3.2  Now there are some photos that I receive a message..."Unsupported Image Format"  Are there lost?  can I retrieve them?  can I change the format?  Help...?!?

I just updates Apeture to version 3.3.2 after installing Mountain Lion.  There are some photos in Apeture that now say, "Umsupported Image Format".  Are these lost?  Can I retrieve them...how?  Can I change the format so that I can see them again?  Help?!?

Are these images "Raw" images? What is the make of your camera?
Check the version of the Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update that is installed.  The version of the raw support is shown in the About panel: from the main menu bar:
         Aperture > About Aperture
Download the latest Raw Update from here:
Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 3.14
If you have the latest raw support installed, but Aperture does not recognize the format, try to register the raw support for your camera with the launch services db, see this post by Alan Roseman:
Re: Aperture 3 preview of raw file greenish
But also read the following post, that explain how this is supposed to work and to correct the typo in the command
In short: Quit Aperture, open the terminal, paste the  follwing text in (all in one single line) and hit return; then reboot the system.
    /System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/LaunchSe rvices.framework/Versions/A/Support/lsregister -R /System/Library/CoreServices/CoreTypes.bundle/Contents/Library

  • How can I improve the quality of a photo that appears blurry when used in iMovie but not in iPhoto?

A 320 x 240, 35 KB Jpeg file looks crisp and in focus in iPhoto.  But as soon as I put it into iMovie and hit full screen, it's blurry and looks terrible.  A photo taken with my Nikon D7100, a 3872 x 2582, 2.5 MB Jpeg photo translates to the big screen just fine, with perfect clarity.  How can I use this former picture but increase its clarity when it's magnified in iMovie?

Apologies for opening this up again:
I rasterised and embedded the photos, liked what I saw and marked the question as answered, then I zoomed out and lo! The white jaggedy edges are back! This is despite the fact I rotated them to vertical before rasterising them.
It appears that the pixels in the rasterised image are relative to the screen, not relative to the object... so when I rotate the photo it goes back to the original hi-res photo and re-rasterises it to fit the new orientation.
Also doing this has not lowered the filesize at all... It does appear that when you rasterise an image in Illustrator, the new raster is only a veneer, the original (hi-res photo) is still lurking in the background.

  • How can I save an image in a pdf that can not be removed using 'Edit Object' feature in Acrobat X?

I have a pdf that has an image of a seal contained it it. I'd like to send the document out to other people but don't want them to be able to remove the seal using the 'Edit Object' feature under 'Tools' in Adobe Acrobat X. Can someone tell me how to do this please? Thanks in advance!

Apply a security policy that prevents editing. This is not a 100%
fool-proof protection, though, but it will work in Acrobat.

  • How can I save a slideshow if I created it using iPhoto on my iPhone?

I have an iPhone 4 (no Mac) and was playing around with the iPhoto app and created a slideshow that I want to export and use as part of my wedding reception. However, I can't seem to find an option to export or save the slideshow on my iPhone... am I missing something here?

This does not involve iphoto for the Mac (the subject of this forum) I will request that it be moved to the iPhoto for IOS forum for you

  • IPhone 5 in recovery mode how can I save my un-backed-up photos?

My iPhone 5 is in recovery mode, stuck on the connect to iTunes screen, prompting to restore.  I have tons of photos on the phone which I have not backed up (stupid, I know).  Is there some way I can get them off?  Seems crazy that I cant just drag them over using windows explorer or something like that.  I sthere any way??!!?  Thanks for any ideas!  Would an Apple Store be able to help?

Well, somehow I lucked out.  Gave up on my photos and went through the restore steps.  I re-attached my iPhone which started iTunes and prompted the restore.  Initiated that.  Then noticed the windows 'autoplay' gui saying 'device options' and i usually dismiss this, but took a chance and chose import pictures and videos, and i got my pictures all copied to my machine very early in the restore process.  I guess -- surprised. ??? but happy!

  • I need some files that were in my idisk; how can i get them, i need some files that were in my idisk; how can i get them

    Whoops!
Didn't download / upload all my files from my idisk account; now i need some for some study work; what can i do to access them?

As Apple announced over 14 months ago, iDisk was shut down at the end of June 2012. They gave a one month extension for any laggards to download their data, and finally turned off the servers, deleting all files at the end of July.
Did you not keep offline backups of these important files, as recommended by Apple? You should never only have one copy of any important file, especially if that one copy if stored on someone elses server you don't have control over, and more importantly when they say it is being shut down forever.

  • How can i save more than 1 edited photo to my camera roll from my ipad's iphoto

When I follow the instructions from this article:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH3148?viewlocale=en_US
I don't get the same results.  Basically, after I tap  the Share button, Camera Roll, and then "Choose" it only lets me choose one photo to save to the camera roll at a time. I even tried tapping the settings (gear) icon first, then tapped "Select Multiple..." then tapping the Share button - but it goes back to only allowing me to tap one thumbnail to share to my camera roll.  I have edited a ton of photos by copying / pasting the color, exposure, and effect settings from one photo to a selection of multiple photos.  It seems strange that I then have to only save one photo to my camera roll at a time.  I'm probably missing something obvious...
    Please enlighten me.
    Thanks!

  • How can I save and locate my Profile Photo?

I searched the other threads on this board but I wasn't able to make it work (they must have applied to an older operating system).  I have a MacBook Air, OSX 10.9.3.
I wasn't able to find it on Photo Booth, and it didn't appear as an option for selecting a profile photo for my Contacts.  Any ideas?
    Thx!

    Hello,
You can load the terminal app and type
    dscl . -read /Users/yourusershortname/ Picture
at the command line to give you the path to your profile photo.
    Thanks

  • How can I get Photoshop Elements to import photos that it wrongly indicates are wrong or in catalog?

Had 17,000 photos on harddrive before installing Photoshop Elements 11 today. Had them well organized in a number of folders under My Pictures. PS found and imported only 467 photos. I tried Search, Browse, and import Files; was able to highlight folders and individual photo files. When I clicked Get Media, it processed for 20 seconds and came back with message that "Files are not in correct format or are already in the catalog." In fact, they are in the correct format (jpg - able to easily view with other programs) and they are NOT visible in the catalog. I went into Control Panel and enabled the Watch service, listed all of the files that PS had not imported from, and still cannot show more than 467 of my photos. Very frustrating, any suggestions? Running Win 7 on 6-months old Sony that plays Blue-Ray, with 8 GB RAM and quad core Intel processors.

This forum is amazing - thanks to all who responded over the weekend. For future users, some replies I found helpful: 1. allow a lot of time for the cataloging process. I had not realized it would be such a slow and incremental process but a day later it is continuing to add to the catalog - am now up to a couple thousand in the catalog, 2. turning off Organize and Stack visually-similar, and the corrective functions during the initial process speeds things up, 3. go into Control Panel, Administrative, Services and activate the Photoshop Elements watch function as soon as you install Elements, 4. it was helpful to repair/optimize, and 5. if you realize it is really messed up, uninstalling Elements and re-installing may work better than lots of little tweaks and fixes. Now if I can just figure out how to get photos ordered by actual date taken rather than random future dates that my camera or previous version of Elements 8 apparently assigned....
