How can I see my store balance on an iPad?

My father in law has an iPad only--no computer to run iTunes on. He doesn't want to associate a credit card with his store account. We've showed him how to redeem iTunes gift cards, but can't figure out how to show his credit balance (again, on the iPad)...
It seems like you used to be able to see your balance by scrolling to the bottom of the featured list in either the app or iTunes stores, but that's not working now. He's logged in and we can see his account name and other details, just not the balance.
It's a new & up to date iPad 2.
Suggestions?

You might try tapping on your id and tapping view apple id then sigg in, then at the top it should say "Apple ID Balence" then after that it should have a number after that. If not it was probably not redeemed correctly. Hope this helps. Cheers

How do I see my iTunes library on my iPad?
I am in the same network but cannot find my songs in my library on my home computer.

settings > iPod > home sharing. when you open the iPod app, there will be an additional entry "library" on the top left of the window (just below the volume slider) from where you can select your Mac's iTunes library.
note that you can use the videos app to view videos.

I get e-mail attachments that are pps presentations on my iPad. How can I see them?

You need a compatible app in which to save it such as Pages or Documents to Go.
Find an app that is compatible with Word that you want to purchase and then after you download that app - go to that email and you can select the "open In" option. Tap and hold down on the open document in the email and select "open In' and select the app that you purchased.

All iPad 4s have the A6X chip in it - if you type in the iPad's serial number (Settings > General > About > Serial Number) in on this page then that will confirm whether it's an iPad 4

  • How can I see a running balance of my itunes spending?

Is there any way I can see my running balance of what I have spent on my account?  For example if I had £10 in my account and I bought one item at 99p it would show running balance history of £9.01.

iTunes will always show the balance you have remaining when you're on the iTunes Store page in iTunes and are logged into your iTunes Store account.
You can see the purchases you've made if you log into your account and click the Purchase History button.
    Regards.

  • How can I print grocery store receipts from an iPad?

I run a natural food grocery store and am considering using iPads as our checkout device. (We currently use iMacs, which are nearly 5 years old now.) I think I could set up a nice system using FileMaker Go. I have done quite a bit of searching, and I don't see a clear answer as to how and whether I could print receipts on an industrial-quality receipt printer, wireless or otherwise, from the iPad. I'm not interested in anything that has a slow response time or requires printing through a separate computer (otherwise, I'll stick with using iMacs!). The receipts must be printed quickly and on the spot.
Apple's Camera Connection Kit appears to be a straightforward way to get a USB port onto the iPad, and I assume (correct me if I'm wrong) I could get multiple USB ports by attaching a self-powered hub to that port. So that should take care of the input devices, namely the barcode scanners and credit card swipes.
But it sounds like printing requires an additional application or a driver. I don't even have an iPad to test yet. Can anyone clue me in?

You cannot connect a USB hub to an iPad and you cannot connect just any USB device to an iPad via the Camera Connection Kit. The only supported printing from an iPad is using AirPrint which is supported by only a few printers, which won't meet your printing requirements.
I suggest sticking with iMacs, although I don't know why you don't use a standard cash register system.
