iCal 'on my mac' to iPhone - How can I see on my phone, the entries in calendars under 'On My Mac'?
I have several entries (too many) on calendars created prior to iCloud. They are listed as calendars 'On My Mac'. How can I get this information to my phone? I understand that iCloud makes On My Mac calendars obsolete?
I use my phone calendar to see my duties for the day, and only add entries if I'm out and on the fly. These I don't mind typing into the iCloud calendars. But my regular process when I'm sitting in front of the computer is to add them via iCal using the On My Mac calendars created years ago, over time. I need to see this information while on the go. How can I?

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Create a new empty calendar from the iCal file menu, select which account you want to create it in.
If you have only a few appointments you can move them individually by editing them and changing the calendar in the edit options.
Alternatively you can copy all the appointments in one calendar to another and delete the original.
To copy a calendar ctrl-click on it from the menu that appears when you select the calendar button (top left corner of iCal) and choose export (export it to your desktop for ease)
Double click the exported file and choose the new empty calendar to import them into.
Ctrl-click on the original calendar from the menu that appears when you select the calendar button and choose delete.

I have a huge volume of content stored in the cloud...I don't know what it might be....I'd like to be able to see it and clean it up...it may be years of old mail or who knows. How can I see it and clean it up?

Do you have any iOS device? It has your Photo Stream files. Apple TV? Same answer.
A PC with the iCloud control panel? You can sign in and view your Photo Stream.
Another Mac with 10.7.2, or higher? It can sign into iCloud.
iPhoto 9.2, or higher on it? It has your Photo Stream files.

How can I see a list of the url's in each of my bookmark folders?

I recently began using Safari 5.0.6 (on OS 10.5.8), and there's a major change I find Very troubling and time-consuming! Before, when I selected "Show all Bookmarks," when I clicked on a folder of bookmarks in the Collections panel on the left side of my screen, Safari would display a list of all the bookmarks in that folder. Now, when I do this, the main frame displays a series of miniature screen shots, showing each website, and I have to scroll through multiple "slides," as it were, until I find the one I want. This is Very inconvenient! I hope I just don't know how to use this version of Safari and someone can help me to get back to the list view which is so much easier and efficient to use. Looked in Preferences but couldn't find anything that looked appropriate.

If I understand what you are saying, you might see if you can drag a divider from the bottom of the bookmarks window, underneath the picture-previews, up higher to reveal the list of bookmarks. Three little lines at the bottom of the window should indicate where to drag the divider. I am running Safari 5.1.3 in Lion 10.7.3, so I am really only guessing here.

Look in whatever application you were syncing them to. Windows Address Book or Outlook. Contacts are not stored in iTunes. It only acts as a conduit to sync them to a compatible address book.

Can't see flash content on the internet

i keep getting messages that i need to instal a flash player
to view pages with flash content. i click on the link to the adobe
site and install the flash player. i can see the flash movie
telling me that it has been succesfully installed. when i go to the
website agian i still can't see the flash content. i click to go
back to the install flash player page on the adobe site and it
seems like the flash player was uninstalled somehow because i get
the screen to intall flash player. what is going on?

I understand that you are receiving a “Blocked plug-in” alert on your Mac while attempting to view video online. In this situation, I would recommend reading over and using the information in the attached article to update to a later version of Adobe Flash Player.

Thanks for your reply, but I am talking about tasks not events. I can see my events, I cannot see any tasks below that. I used to be able to, but they have disappeared. I can plan a new task, but it never shows anywhere on my screen after i have planned it.

How can I see a list of the songs in a genius mix?

I would like to see the lists of the songs that are in the Genius Mixes created by Apple. I do not know if there is any way to do this. I've tried to use the "Up Next" function, but but it only provides a partial list of the songs, and does not allow you to copy them.

How can I see my iPhone on the Shared devices list on sidebar of Finder ?

I have a Home Network Wireless-N based on a Linksys Broadband Router WRT300N. I have my MacBook Pro and my iPhone, my wife her MacBook, my son a Windows portable and still a Desktop Windows PC. The desktop Windows PC is connected via Ethernet cable direct to the Router, the other four devices connect wireless.
The problem is that I can only see the desktop Windows PC in my Finder's Sidebar on my MacBook Pro. Since all the other devices are connected in the wireless network with full access to internet, I suppose I should see them in the sharing devices list on the sidebar. Tried already to connect to server under Menu Go To without any luck. Someone knows why ? Thanks for some help.

The BeehiveOnline Tutorial on slide 7 shows that Workspaces are created within a Group.
Also the Group Administration screen suggests this as I can indicate that user ABC gets the role 'Workspace Creator' in one Group but same user ABC does not get the role 'Workspace Creator' in another Group. (what else is the purpose of this role within Group Administration)
But when I created my workspace, the system did not ask in which Group I wanted it to be created, neither can I see in the Settings of the new Workspace to which Group it belongs.
Can you please help ?

Workspaces and groups can be confusing - apologies that it was not clear.
Perhaps some background as to why I described it that way may help.
BeehiveOnline relies on groups to be self-sufficient - if you are in one group your world of available participants is that group and that group alone. So if you want to create a new workspace and add users they can only be drawn from that group. - hence the workspaces within a group setup. However, if you are in multiple groups then the linkage gets broken as you could add members to a workspace from different groups - if you needed many group to share a repository of read-only info for instance. This is in wide use on BeehiveOnline. Read and Write access is more of a problem as if anyone updates a document or creates one their id will be attached to it and if they are in a group you as a workspace member cannot see it will cause confusion.
So workspaces are only group restricted if there is only one group. If you have multiple groups you have more scope but have to exercise more care.

I just downloaded the trial of i-Work but I'm in trouble with Pages. Indeed I would like to see my white document, on which I'm writting, in the middle of my page. At the moment it is on the left, with grey on the right.
And : 1- I don't want to have the whole page in white, that's to say I don't want to zoom in. 2- I don't want neither to put Pages'09 in the middle of my screen, surrounded by my background. 3- I don't want to use the full screen mode all the time. Actually, this is quite simple : I would like to have a presentation similar to Word (not because I can't forget Word, just because I feel more concentrated with this kind of presentation )
I checked the user's manual, and I couldn't find the solution. So could someone help me ? Is it possible to have the page of our document in the middle of the Pages' screen ?

Sorry if I seem picky but I believe using the right words makes it easier to communicate. The document isn't showing in a page. The document page is in a window. The page is placed to the top and to the left in the window.

When I open the Trash folder, all I see is a gray bar with "Trash" on the left and a button marked "Empty" on the right. I know I have items in the trash, but I can't see them. It used to be when I opened the trash, I saw a list of all items in the trash. What has changed?? Thanks.

Your trash bin may be damaged and it's deleting items as soon as you put them in.
Go to /Applications/Utilities/ folder and launch Terminal. At the prompt, copy and paste the following command into the Terminal window.
sudo rm -rf ~/.Trash
Press Return. You will be asked to enter your admin password. As you type, your password will not be returned, so be sure to enter it correctly. Press Return again. Log out and back in or restart.

You can delete the music video from the Videos app by tapping the Edit button in the upper right hand corner and then hit the X that comes up next the video.
