How can I sell myself as a editor/producer

Question

I will soon go before a board to give my creative vision and to justify my compensation as a final cut pro editor and producer of DVDs for a church. Can you all post direction to resources that would help, along with what final cut pro editors are getting for their work in the Northwest part of the country, thanks all

Jim~ First off, nice alliteration Secondly, I'd say media (particularly video) is one of the most culturally relative means for communication-- and if he's working for a church, whatever type of church (mormon, christian, catholic, scientology, etc whatever), hiring someone to produce media sounds only logical. A 'preacher' seems just like a fancy name for a 'communicator' if you ask me... anyways
That being said, I'd say that hiring someone in a church in an editing/producing position, assuming that person would oversee all media in a service, would be looking at a package in the 40-80 range... that largely depending on the size of the church (if it's a mega monstrosity-money mill church etc ). But no doubt, 40k plus benefits doesn't seem out of line... especially with the way churches are using media these days... for example, go to any LCD/DLP projector website and you'll see a 'for churches' section.... churches are finally catching up to the world.
