How can I send someone a copy of one of my address lists?
I need to send a copy of one of my e-mail lists to a friend. How can I select all the names and e-mail addresses on that list and send this information?
Export it. Check with your friend what s/he can use. CSV is most likely to be useful. If they also use Thunderbird, LDIF works very well.
# Open your Address Book
# Select the required address book.
# Go to '''Tools|Export''' on the menu
# Enter the name and location of the file to be created. I suggest you create it on your desktop.
# Select the file type, probably CSV (Thunderbird refers to CSV as "Comma separated".)
The file will contain all of your address book data; street addresses, phone numbers etc. If there's anything you want to exclude, I think you'll need to use the CSV format, then open the CSV file in a spreadsheet (Excel, Libre Office Calc, etc) and delete the unwanted columns.
Now attach the exported file to an email message and send it.

Open picture B, the one you wish to select the hair from to add to the picture.
Use one of the selection tools, e.g. selection brush, lasso tool, to select the hair. You will see an outline ("marching ants") once the selection is complete
Go to Edit menu>copy to copy the hair to the clipboard
Open picture A, then go to Edit>paste
Use the move tool to position the hair from picture B.
In the layers palette you should see picture A as the background layer, and the hair (B) on a separate layer. -

You used to be able to do this through leaving unchecked the box in preferences "when sending to a group show all member addresses". However, that feature failed some time ago (two or three years?) and the only way to hide the addresses now is to put the group in the BCC field.

You'd need to set that up with your mail provider
For example, I use yahoo. Id' need to access yahoo via safari and their web interface and see what kind of forwarding or auto replies I can set up.
The iPad mail app won't do it, it has to be done at the server level through your mail provider. -

Apple offers free, basic Mail and Address Book apps and creates paid, more sophisticated solutions, also allowing Developers to provide more sophisticated solutions for sale in the marketplace.
When I need to repeatedly email to multiple contacts, I create a blank draft email, and use the Address Book button to list the appropriate address book group. With the Address Book window open, it's easy to click to add multiple email addresses for a single contact name. Each is added to the message email address list. Then I save that blank email to iCloud Drafts, and it retains the email addreses I've entered. Next time I need to send a message I double-click on it in Drafts to open it, and drag it to one of my other email accounts to add Subject and details, then send from the other account.

How can I send someone a 'list' from my address book?
I see that you can't from one of the previous answers. So I tried to 'export' the 'list'. I don't see how you can do that. If I highlite the list, it exports the entire address book (1600+0 items and I can't edit that down to my 40 member list. So what else can I do?

How can I automatically make a copy of one nas drive to another?
I Have a collection of movies on one WD MyCloud drive. I purchased another for the purpose of backing it up. I am hoping that I can set some backup program that will automatically do this each time I Add or move a file. I downloaded WD smartware which looked like it might be my answer, but the various options do not seem to fit my basic need. I have discovered that I cannot reliably select a group of files which contain folders of files and try to copy them to the second drive. The problem seems to come from copying the folder and then trying to copy the folder again when it halts saying that the file already exists.
I use both Prosoft Engineering's Data Backup & Bombich's Carbon Copy Cloner as tools to back up my network NAS drive to another NAS. Either of these may work for you.

I'm afraid my post will just sit unanswered...this issue has been discussed but the solution noted did not fix the issue for me...I can't do any work with this transposing issue...every song I open has the midi transposed to another note from what I played and the midi IN numbers are jumping all around on their own...I dumped all of my Logic stuff, then reinstalled...same thing with my midi (Radium keyboard) and MOTU and every song I open is having this transpose issue...help pleeeease:(
Mr. iSchwartz resolved this issue...it was my Midiman Radium keyboard...several years old and causing the midi to go CRAZY. Unplugged it and everything is back to normal...this is after a complete Logic uninstall/reinstall, crying, screaming, more crying...:(:)

How can I send/share a proof of a publication with someone else?
Working with iBooks Author, I merely wish to share a test publication internally within my company as a proof. Some of them are remote (not on site). All have iPads.
The publication is NOT ready for publication, it is in its most preliminary stage. How can I send them a copy of the publication so I can get their feedback? Either I am missing something simple, or else it's not very obvious how this is supposed to be done.You have choices - use the Share menu, then save as an .iBooks file where you can find it...email or place on a server for them to download. They then drop into their iTunes and sync.
You can also save as a PDF and send that around however works easiest in your example.

I'd try Dropbox (http://www.dropbox.com/), which you and your recipient both have to have. It's easy, and the free version would probably be enough. There are any number of other services available for emailing large files (google that). Of course, your recipient must have KN installed to be able to view it correctly, or can view it in PP, but with some loss, primarily transitions/animations.
