How can I separate the two tracks in a stereo audio track?
I have an interview which was recorded in stereo, but the sound is all in the left ear for some reason, I don't know why.
I'd like to copy the left track into the right track and do away with the very quiet sound on the right track. I've tried locking the left track in order to delete the right but it won't let me.
Could someone recommend a method?

You can separate them by selecting them and typing option-L, but if one of your channels is weaker than the other, it would save time to simply open it in the Viewer and play around with the "Pan" slider.

It's happening because you are using the same Apple ID for iMessage. You don't need to do anything with your iCloud account to fix this. You should create a separate Apple ID for her device to use with iMessage and FaceTime. (You can continue to share the same ID for purchasing from the iTunes and App stores if you wish; it doesn't need to be the same as the ID you use for other services.) Once you've done this, on her device go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with the new ID. Do the same thing in Settings>FaceTime.
Another caution is that if you share and iCloud account with her, any data you both sync with the account such as contacts, will be merged and the merged data will appear on both devices. If you don't want to end up with each other's contacts, calendars, etc. on your devices, you should have separate iCloud accounts to. If you want to make this change, go to Settings>iCloud on her device and tap Delete Account. (This only deletes the account from the device, not from iCloud.) When prompted about what to do with the iCloud data be sure to choose Keep On My iPod. Then set up a new iCloud account with her new ID, turn on iCloud data syncing again, and when prompted choose Merge. -

I am writing a class that is able to draw an audio signal. It seems to be working well but I have a question. If I load a mono audio file I am able to draw it on a graph by using the byte[] array and everything is ok until now. That's the code:

The results is correct only if I have a mono track. Obviously when I get a stereo track the array becomes very large so here the question. How can I extract the two audio channels from a stereo track?

Maurizio Di VittoA mono audio stream is stored [sample, sample, sample, sample], so just a list of samples in an array.
A stereo sample is interleaved in the same manner, so you get [left-sample, right-sample, left-sample, right-sample]
So every nth sample is the 1st channel, every nth+1 is the 2nd channel... -
I have copied my CDs into iTunes (currently running v11) to play on my iPod. I have now bought a non Apple mp3 player to use when I am out running. How can I copy the many tracks I want from iTunes onto the new player?
ThanksI tried Notpod but can't get it to work. Part of the problem, I suspect, is that I can't create a folder on my player (a SanDisk Clip+). I also can't do this in Windows Explorer. Whilst I can see the Clip+ in Explorer, the option to create a new folder isn't there.
The error mesag I get in Notpod is:
"Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit the application will close immediately.
InvalidArgument=Value of '0' is not valid for 'SelctedIndex'. Parameter name: SelectedIndex"
Then, when I plug the Clip+ into a USB port, iTunes thinks it is my iPad - which is because, I guess, Notpod hasn't worked.
I can drag and drop files from the Music folder where my iTunes tracks are stored onto the Clip+ and they get converted but I'd rather synchronise a Playlist from iTunes if I can.

After upgrading to Windows, in my Outlook 2007 Contacts I now have "Contacts in iCloud" plus "Contacts from iCloud". How can I merge the two to avoid duplication.

Thank you for your suggestion. I backup on itunes. I went to itunes, deleted syncing my contacts, then re-synced them. But the Facetime capability option continues to be there on most (not all, for some curious reason) of my contacts. I am not sure I posed my question correctly. I want to be able to FT with my family, so don't want to delete the FT capability totally from my iphone and ipad. But I don't want all these other iphone calls from various contacts to ring on my ipad as FT calls. I want a way to select with whom I have FT capabilities. Any further suggestions? I try to use "canc" botton: the video track is deleted on menu, but when I try to insert a new video, iDVD (7.1.2) alert me: "The maximum number of tracks (presentations and movies) is 99. You can not create other tracks."

i purchased a cd but when downloaded to my computer some of the tracks was missing how can i get the missing tracks to download???
On computer go into iTunes store, in the Quicklinks section click on purchased, go to music not on this computer and you should find all music still in the cloud.
On phone open music, choose store at top of screen, then choose the More option at bottom of next screen, look in downloads where anything waiting to download should be. If nothing there go to Purchased, click on Music, Not on this Phone and you should see any iTunes music you have bought that is not downloaded to the phone. -

That sort of thing is best done in iTunes. And by "folders", I assume you mean Playlists.
In iTunes, you can create Playlists and then sync those to your iPod. The music will still be listed by artist, album etc,. but if you go into the Playlists menu, you will see the songs grouped by Playlists, according to your choices.
As you mentioned favourites; on your iPod you can give a song a star rating, from one to five stars. It's possible to create a Smart Playlist in iTunes which will automatically add (for example) three, four and five star rated songs to a Playlist, but not the songs with no rating or just one or two stars.
So if you were listening to a song and decided there and then to give it a four-star rating, then at the next Sync with your iTunes Library, that song would be added to your Smart Playlist which is then also included on the iPod. (In theory, it should go into that Playlist on your iPod without connecting to your iTunes Library, but that doesn't always work.) -
I have an iphone 4s on my itunes account & added my daughter's new ipod touch 5th generation. Now everything from my iphone is on her ipod & still on my phone too, even my phone # shows up as her ipod. How do I separate the 2 devices? Do I need to reset her ipod? If so when I plug it into the computer won't it happen again?

Hello, I have Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 and I want to know how can I separate my voice from the game audio from a video gameplay who are in the same audio channel.
As far as I know this cannot be done. Unless you do some really, REALLY intense editing in Adobe Audition.
I am a fellow lets-player and what I do is record my microphone input with a free-ware program called Audacity and record the game sounds with Mirillis Action! (or FRAPS, whatever you use). This way my voice and the game sounds are seperate. -

From your diagram, goto the Analyze palette, then select Waveform Monitoring, then Waveform Peak Detection.vi. You specify the threshhold and width and the VI tells you how many peaks it found and their location and amplitude. If you want to see the highest two peaks, you can use the Array Max and Min function (on the Array palette) and then search the array for the next highest: use a For loop to auto-index the array, a shift register for the next highest value (initilized to 0 or some number below any of your expected values), and search for a value > prvious but < max. -
