I'm just starting using Firefox but I won't be using it for long if I have to re-size the screen with every new location viewed.

Hello, there's an option of using the Ctrl + + to zoom the Web page, but it reverts to the Firefox default zoom in the midst which is very annoying. Generally, I'd like to be able to set a certain default zoom level and then only if needed use the CTRL +/- zoom in and out options. So my optimal zoom level is used for all my browsing unless I change it.

I have listed 2 add-ons below for you to consider. I have not used NoSquint, but I use and rely on Default FullZoom Level.

I have seen this question asked previously and it seems there is no answer.
I know that one can change each individual web page (that reset defaults back to 100%) and, alternatively and apparently one can load an add-on to fix the default size at Full Zoom.
... But any hints on how to achieve a DEFAULT 125% zoom would be much appreciated.

Have you tried Firefox's zoom feature? Font size and zoom - increase the size of web pages
You can "zoom" all sites using this add-on: [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2592/ NoSquint]. After setting your global zoom level, you can still fine-tune the zoom on individual sites.
After installing NoSquint, click the % on the Add-on Bar to call up site preferences, then click the Global Settings button, then the Zooming tab.
If you don't have the Add-on Bar displayed, you can right-click the new tab button ("+") or a blank area of the tab bar to the right of it and choose Add-on Bar from the shortcut menu.
You can experiment with sizes larger than 125%, but I wouldn't go much higher than 150% unless you have a large high-resolution monitor.
If there are particular sites that still present a problem, feel free to post their URLs.

The Firefox [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Page+Zoom Page Zoom] feature does a domain by domain level of saving the users preferred zoom level settings, there is no default Page Zoom level setting in Firefox, as with some other browsers.

When I open an existing document it always open too small, I resize it but next time I open it it's small again! Please help! I used to be able to resize them then they stayed that size until I resized it no matter how many times I opened and closed it before upgrading to 3.0!!!!

1. How can I set a default file name for JFileChooser, to save a completly new file?
2. I have a JTextArea that I append recieved messages. But when a message is appended, the whole desktop screen refreshes. How can I prevent that?

My imposition program requires 1.4 compatibility - it handles files from acrobat 8 perfectly - however to use from 9 i have to re-postscript and redistill.
Ive tried saving as optimised but it doesnt always work.
I cant seem to find anything in the settings to change it....

In your Optimize settings if you set it to "Make Compatible with Acrobat 5.0 or Later" it will bring it down to PDF 1.4

Hi,
Try saving your settings as a Preset by clicking the Preset drop down and then select Save Current Settings as a Preset.
Next try changing the settings by selecting the saved preset.
That allow saving the settings for a specific printer, I assume it may also allow selecting these settings for another printer.

I'm using the latest edition of Numbers and I'd like to set the default zoom for new sheets to be 150% when they are created rather than the default 100%. Does anybody know how to do this?
