An app changed it to some other search engine, before installing the app, I the tab that would open was the homepage I set.

You can middle-click or Ctrl left-click the Home button on the Navigation toolbar to open the Home page in a new tab.

I have a form to raise the issue. once the issue is raised it appears in the issue raised reports( that is form on a report )
so all can view this report and click on issue no ..the form with details appear .
but i want to restrict it , by allowing only one up manager to view the form on a report in editable format rest all can just view it .
how can i do this?????????
can any one help me with this ????..
my approach is like this ...
a column called "checked shud be added to issue table , then its values must be set to "raised" when issue is submitted for the very first time..( so it is zero when the end user is submitting it ).
when ( the logged in user =1 up manager or checked!="raised") then
form fields to be displayed as edited
else
form fields need to be read only .

Nandini,
If you edit any item, you can see a section where you can specify "Read-Only" condition. Here you can write your read-only logic using SQL OR PL/SQL or predefined conditions.

How to remove a oracle form from read only format

I need to personalize an Oracle form for one responsibility. But when i open through that responsibility, it is opening in read only format. When i open the same form through super user responsibility, then it is opening up-datable format. I tried different options like 'System Profiles- HR Query only to 'NO'', 'Removing Query-Only'. but still i can open it only in read only format where i need to make some fields up-datable.
Any suggestions please?

We tried to change this with Perzonilization, but the the error is coming up

How can i use different suffix for read-only and read-write?

I have a directory server with 11.1.1.5,I have created the root dn:o=test.com.cn. This dn is replication enabled and it is the consumer.
I want to create another suffix:ou=test1,o=test.com.cn and I wish to write some data from own.
However,when I use dscc to create the suffix,I can not find any entry under the suffix.
When I use the command:
ldapsearch -b "ou=test1,o=test.com.cn" -s sub "objectclass=*"
I get this:ldap_search:no such object
I can not import any ldif to this suffix.
I get the error:
import test1: WARNING: Skipping entry "uid=jwalker, ou=People, ou=test1,o=test.com.cn" which has no parent, ending at line 280 of file "/opt/dsinst/test1.ldif"
When I use dscc to change the suffix to rootdn,I get the same error too.
How can i do now?

There are a few issues here, ie
"uid=jwalker, ou=People, ou=test1,o=test.com.cn" has no parent.
Did you create ou=People, ou=test1,o=test.com.cn before you tried to create above dn?
Also, your suffix naming is very poor and will result in more problems later on especially since you want to create sub suffices.
you should use the DC notation, ie dc=test,dc=com,dc=cn that way you can easily attach o=test1,dc=test,dc=com,dc=cn
This way you would be able to keep your separate suffices inside separate database files and you will have less headaches when you try to replicate and do bulk re-initialisations.

Yes its possible. You use a label instead of a field. But you need to refer to datascheme in your label.
Example: you drag drop your field on the work page.
You look in its attributes and copy the part datascheme reference.
You remove the field and drop a label instead on the workfield. You refer to this datascheme instead of the fixed caption.

I am talking about any file in windows 98 that has the read only box checked when I look at the properties of the file from Windows Explorer. I can can get rid of the check from the properties box, but I want to do it programmaticaly in LabView.

Wire in '448' to the 'New Permissions' of the Access Rights VI. This will set the file as readable, writable and executable. I just tried this (on WinNT, though).
The 'permissions' parameter is a 16-bit integer where the least 9 bits are used. Of these, for Windows, bits 8, 9, and 10 (0-indexed) are important (i.e. if these are set = integer 448). See online Help for full details.

How can I open something as not Read-Only?

Everytime I've opened an Excel (Microsoft for Mac 2011) file today it opens as read-only, and the only way I can save changes is by changing the name of the file, which I don't want to do. I did not have this problem last week when working with the same file. I hit command-I -- I'm listed as read & write and then it said Staff (it's just me -- read-only) -- I just switched it to read & write& did the same for Everyone. Yet it still opened (from the Finder) as Read-Only. Please help me!!

Reset User Permissions and ACLs in Lion/Mountain Lion
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
From the Utilities menu select Terminal. At the Terminal prompt enter: resetpassword. Press RETURN. When the window opens select your startup drive where it says "Select the volume containing the user account:" At the bottom of the window you will see, "Reset Home folder permissions and ACLs." Click on the Reset button.

That's still a little ambiguous. What recording software are you using?
Usually the individual sound files in a music project file are included in a separate folder. For example, GarageBand normally hides these files inside a single Project file in the Finder, but you can right-click and Show Package Contents to see the individual audio files.
Any of those backup utilities I mentioned will be smart enough to copy the new and changed files within the project file. In the Terminal these .band files are actually directories, just like .app Applications in the Finder are actually directories. I think Finder may actually handle it properly also, but I'm not really sure what the Finder will do when you re-copy a GarageBand project folder to an existing backup copy and only some of the audio files have changed.

How can I set the ToolTipText to go away when I pan away

Normally the toolTipText will go away when you are off the component that the tool tip is related to, but that is not the case when you move the mouse off the application entirely and the buttons are right up against the Container. In that situation the tool tip stays, forever...how annoying. Does anybody know if there is a way to get rid of it, basically to set a timer on it?
I've read up on the ToolTipManager but I'm not sure what I am suppose to do with it. Am I suppose to instantiate an instance of that class? How does my setToolTipText relate to this ToolTipManager. I thought those methods might be static, but there weren't, so obviously it was intended to be instantiated, but I'm not sure i understand how all that works. It sounds like you are asking about the OS X feature called Resume to have previous opened windows re-open when you launch Safari.
Automatically re-open windows, apps, and documents on your Mac - Apple Support
OS X Lion v10.7 and later include Resume, a feature that lets you re-open apps in the same state they were in when you last left them. For example, when you quit Safari, any webpages you're viewing are fully restored the next time you open Safari.
Is this not working for you? Another thing I use is common folders in the Favorites bar where I can "Open in Tabs" at the bottom of the list.
