How can I set family sharing with my mom living in Europe?

hi, i just bought new iphone for my mom who is living in Europe and I wanted to set family sharing with her to share pictures but I can't because I live in USA ... is there any way how to set it? Thanx

Seeing how itunes store is not international, cause every locale has to comply with different set of laws - you probably can't use family sharing feature, but you can use photosharing.

    Hi Saramos,
When setting up Family Sharing you must have a credit or debit card as your payment method. See this article for reference -
    Family purchases and payments
When a family member makes a purchase it will be billed to any gift or store credit that they have first. If none exists it will be billed to you.
As the family organizer, you may not set your billing method for purchases to anything other than a credit or debit card. If you have a store credit such as from pre-paid cards, it may not be shared with other family members. See this article for reference -

  • How can I use family sharing, but allow my daughter to purchase with her iTunes allowance without asking permission?

I love the idea of iTunes family sharing, but I don't think it currently supports my situation.
My daughter's iTunes account gets a monthly allowance (plus occasional gift cards), and does not have a credit card tied to it. That way, she can buy whatever she wants, but only with her existing account balance.
I'd like to tie her account to mine via family sharing, but want to keep her spending limited to just her allowance balance. Also, I don't need to grant permission each time she wants to buy something when using her balance. Ideally, she would be permitted to buy exactly as she does now (no permission necessary, no credit card on the account, and only using allowance funds), but also be tied my family account to listen to music I've already bought.
It appears that my 3 options are:
Do not do family sharing and keep the accounts separate.
Tie the accounts together, put "ask to buy" on her account, and then get bugged for permission each time she wants to get something (as well as keep track myself of her going over her allowance and dipping into my credit card).
Tie the accounts together, don't use "ask to buy", and keep my fingers crossed that she doesn't spend more than her allowance amount (because iTunes would permit spending more than that and charge my card).
Options 2 and 3 don't work for me, and option 1 doesn't take advantage of family sharing.
Can I have a family sharing account that *doesn't* charge to my credit card?

    Hello jeffchr,
Thanks for the question. Based on what you stated, it seems like you don't want to be billed for a family members purchases. I would recommend that you read these articles, they explain the features options.
    Family Sharing
All new iTunes, iBooks, and App Store purchases initiated by family members will be billed to the family organizer’s account.
    Family purchases and payments
    Making purchases
After you set up your family, any time a family member initiates a new purchase it will be billed directly to your account unless that family member has gift or store credit. First, their store credit will be used to pay the partial or total bill. The remainder will bill to the family organizer's card.
How iTunes Store purchases are billed
Which payment methods will be used first?
When you make a purchase, content credits are used first, followed by Gift Certificate, iTunes Card, or Allowance Account credits. Your credit card or PayPal account is then charged for any remaining balance.
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    Mario

  • How can I use Family Sharing for Store purchases if I use a different Apple ID for purchases?

A key feature of Apple's iCloud Family Sharing is the ability to share store purchases with invited family members. However, like many people, I use a different Apple ID for iCloud and Store purchases (ironically, primarily for the exact purpose of sharing among family).
Can I use iCloud Family Sharing to share purchases if I use a different Apple ID for Store (iTunes, App Store, etc.) purchases?

Sorry, let me clarify. I have two Apple IDs A and B:
A: Used for iCloud. All my calendar, mail, contacts, and other iCloud features are here. This is the ID I use as "the" iCloud on my iOS devices and OS X machines.
B: Used only for purchases, on all my devices and machines. This is what I used to log into iTunes, or to buy apps for iOS or OS X.
The issue is that the only way (currently) to set up Family Sharing is to invite from an iCloud ID (A, in my case) on an iOS 8 device. That's not the ID (B) I use for purchases. The question is whether there's a way to share those purchases given that I'm configured on all my devices with A for iCloud. (Clearly if I somehow send invitations from B, I can share purchases; but that's not the question.)
It sounds like the answer to that question is 'No'.
If that's the case, how do I invite from B? Do I have to configure an iOS device with B as the iCloud ID? My problem isn't that I want to ("willy nilly") avoid inviting form B; it's that there seems to be no way (certainly no convenient way) to do that.

  • How can I set up imessage with a different email

I  needed to change my email and Apple ID. Now my daughter's imessaging won't work b/c it  it was associated with my old account.

It sounds like you're trying to set your daughter her own account? Create one at https://appleid.apple.com/ and set it up on her iPad Mini. Now - if you want to transfer over the email address she was using on your account, to her new one, so her friends can still get in touch/don't need to learn a new email...
Disassociate the email from your old account...
Log into your old apple id https://appleid.apple.com/
Then, under alternate email addresses, remove the one she uses.
    Associate with the new account...
Log in to her account https://appleid.apple.com/
Press +email address and enter it
After verifying it, go to the iMessage settings on the iPad (settings > iMessage)
Then, make sure you tick the new email address to receive messages, and ensure that 'start new conversations from' matches the new address.
All being well, your daughter shouldn't notice a difference. This also future proofs it, she won't be forever tied to your Apple ID when she leaves home etc...
However, now she's on a new account - you won't be able to share purchases - I don't know if you want to? If so.... you can setup Family Sharing! It's super easy and means you can access each others content. Enjoy!

  • How can I use Internet Sharing with Firewall on ?

    Hi,
My PowerMac G5 is connected to the internet via Ethernet. I share the connection to a Powerboog via Airport using internet sharing. Everything is working fine except when I turn the Firewall on. After reading http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=107653 I tried opening port 443 but it still does'nt work. I'd like to be able to use internet sharing with the firewall on. Anyone can help me ? Thanks!

Hmmm, how curious... I never had to do that in 10.4.7 or 10.4.8... the only ones I ever tried Internet Sharing with.
I'm wondering if turning the Firewall on after the Internet sharing is what's doing it? Just for kicks you might try turning off Internet Sharing, then Firewall on, then turn on Internet Sharing.
If that doesn't work, then I'd personally try trashing...
    /Library/Preferences/com.apple.sharing.firewall.plist
Then reboot and try the Firewall again.

  • How can I set body part with byte[]?

    Dear all,
I stored image in database (BLOB TYPE).
And I need to send it via e-mail, Can JavaMail set a body part with byte[] that I get it from my database?
If it can be done, how to do that?

...I just wonder if the other receive your mail, they cannot know what the mail exactly for....
    you should-
    1. get the BLOB from database
    2. change it to a image file
    3. add the file as attachment of your mail with valid content type and Content-Transfer-Encoding

  • How can I set up itunes with one ipod and two laptops?

My boyfriend gave me an ipod a few months ago and he let me set up itunes on his laptop so everything is there. now that i have my own laptop i want everything thats on his laptop on mine. The itunes part i mean. but i don't know how can anyone help me?

    Do as this article says:
Syncing to a "New" Computer or replacing a "crashed" Hard Drive: Apple Support Communities
That will make your iPod the syncing computer.
You can only have one syncing computer/iTunes library for apps. and photos. You can however, manually sync music and vides from multiple computer/library if you sync manually. See that topic of:
iTunes 11 for Windows: Set up syncing for iPod, iPhone, or iPad

  • How can I reset family sharing and payment info when itunes requires verification information from a lost credit card?

I was attempting to make an App store purchase and the App Store required verification of my computer.  The information the App Sotre - and ITunes require is the expiration date [ mm / yyyy ] and the security code off the back of my registered credit card.  The card is lost - and so is the information.  ITUnes will not allow me to change the payment information without verifying my information by - again - including the information from the back of the missing credit card. So I am stuck.

This is my account info for iTunes & AppStore:
This is the payment info in iCloud Family Sharing settings:
Obviously I was able to change the payment info in iTunes/App Store. What do I have to do to make that carry over to iCloud?

  • How can I setup Home Sharing with a Sonicwall TZ 100?

I have configured Home Sharing on 2 laptops and 1 desktop in my home network.  The two laptops (WiFi) see each other's respective libraries.  Neither can see the home desktop's library.  They are all on the same subnet.  I have created firewall rules on all devices to allow tcp 3689 and udp 5353 traffic.  I even went as far as disabling the firewalls on the computers (all three) completely.  I have enabled Multicasting on the Wifi interface of the Sonicwall.  The Sonicwall is setup in basic wan/lan mode with ALL LAN interfaces in the same port group to ensure they co-exist on the same subnet.  I am running Itunes 10.6.
I still can't see the desktop computer's library and it can't see the two laptops.
    What am I missing?
    Thanks in advance,
    Shrpshtr

First, make sure you've got the home share set up on both computers, as per the following document:
iTunes: Setting up Home Sharing on your computer
Have both computers running and have iTunes open on both computers.
Now, in the iTunes on the computer you want to transfer music to, select the library that you want to transfer music from, as per the following screenshot:
Once the other library loads, go down to the bottom of the screen and in "Show:" select "Items not in my library":
If you want to import all of the songs you can now see, head up to the iTunes menu bar and go "Edit > Select all". Then head down to the bottom of the screen again and click the "Import" button in the bottom-right-hand corner.

  • How can i set up emails with header and signature

    HI all
I have an email account that is work only, all emails sent have a graphic header on the top, and finish with my name and company contact details.
I would like this done automatically, Currently I drag the header in, which is a pain when I send a lot. I have set up the signature but when I reply to an email, it puts the signature at the bottom of the whole email and not just the reply. Is there a way of making my life easier.
    Russ

For Apple Mail, you can set this up using what is called "stationery"; it's off to the top right of the message composition window when you're sending a message. Click that, and select the stationery you want to fill in. See the mail documentation and see the "Save As Stationery..." options in the menu.
Mac OS X Server doesn't AFAIK have a mechanism for automatically inserting this sort of stationery stuff at the mail server; the message contents are largely determined locally at the Apple Mail or other mail client.
Here's [Apple Mail Stationery Pro Tip|http://www.apple.com/pro/tips/mail_templates.html]. As for selecting this by default, I don't know that that's available without some local customizations. There are ways to cause a particular template to open by adding it into the dock or the Finder sidebar, but I don't know of an integrated way to automatically and always select a default stationery for your messages.
See if the folks over in the [Apple Mail forums|http://discussions.apple.com/forum.jspa?forumID=1338] might know more about that.
And here are [more details than you probably want|http://developer.apple.com/Mac/library/documentation/AppleApplications/Con ceptual/MailArticles/Articles/stationery.html] on how this stuff is constructed.

  • Can't set up sharing with Airport

We have a large number of Macs in the house, which previously connected to the Internet via Airport Extreme connected to a VDSL cable modem.
Lightning took out the Airport Extreme (nothing else died on the surge protected power board) so we are back to using Ethernet cabling going direct to the VDSL modem from my iMac.
I have until now shared my Internet to the other computers with a local computer to computer WiFi network using Snow Leopard.
I have now installed Lion and whilst I connect to the Internet OK, the other computer's can not connect via my Shared Internet.
In System Preferences > Sharing the instructions are backwards (not just mislabeled).
If I check Internet Sharing To computer's using: is greyed out. So I check Wi-Fi then Internet Sharing.
This let's my wife's computer finally see and connect to my shared network, but Safari and Mail never make the connection.
    What have I missed?

Loads of stuff goes wrong with PC..
First issue is the Apple names for wireless are not actually compatible ..
So change all the names in the TC to SMB ie windows type.. that means..
Short, all names should be 2-20 characters..
    No spaces and pure alphanumeric.
Set different names for 2.4ghz and 5ghz.
Then if it fails turn off security.. see if that works.. it is just a test so you need to put it back. If it fails with security on.. but works with it off.. tell us.
    Regardless of the outcome..
Tell us exactly what wireless card your PC has?
Have you set the PC to be located at home.. not work not public. Turn off the firewalls.
Download the latest driver for the exact wireless card from the card manufacturer if possible.. the worst is intel cards in laptops. Some of their drivers are utterly woeful.. Apple never use Intel wireless even though they do use everything else intel.
Sometimes you need an earlier driver.. do not be surprised at all the issues.. this is where Apple never test.. why should they .. they could not care if your PC works or not.
Try another wireless if you continue to have problems.. broadcom cards are the best if you have the latest AC TC.
Finally just put your existing wireless router in wan bypass and plug it into the TC.. and then you will have perfectly fine windows connection to the network... all the non-apple colbber can connect to it.
