How can I set FireFox to print URLs and Dates on printed pages

I expected this function to be listed in "Options" but....
Or does this happen inherently?
Thanks, Martila

#**Open the Adobe Reader program from your Programs list
#**Click Help > Check for Updates
#**Follow the prompts for updating
#**If this method works for you, skip the "Download complete installer" section below and proceed to "After the installation" below
#*Download complete installer ('''if you do <u>NOT</u> have Adobe Reader installed'''):
#**Use Firefox to download and SAVE the installer to your hard drive from the link in the article below
#**On the Adobe page, un-check any extra items (i.e. Free McAfee® Security Scan Plus) then click Download button
#**If you see message just under tabs, DO NOT click the Allow button, instead click below that where it says "click here to download".
#**Click "Save to File"; save to your Desktop (so you can find it)
#**After download completes, close Firefox
#**Click the installer you just downloaded and allow the install to continue

  • How can I set Firefox to print to PDF, the only otions I have are (1) My Canon printer, (2) Fax or (3) Microsoft XPS document writer. There is no option for PDF

    A couple of weeks ago, from the file menu, in my print options was to print a web page to PDF, that facility is no longer there. does anyone know how can I set Firefox to print to PDF.
    The only options I have are (1) My Canon printer, (2) Fax or (3) Microsoft XPS document writer. There is no option for PDF

    Firefox generally displays the printers in Windows' Printers folder (Start orb > Devices and Printers). If it is missing one of the printers listed there, could you indicate which one it is, for example, Adobe Distiller, PrimoPDF, CutePDF Writer, etc.?
    If you previously had an add-on which added print-to-PDF functionality just to Firefox, perhaps it got disabled. You could check here:
    orange Firefox button ''or'' classic Tools menu > Add-ons > Extensions
    Also, are you really running Firefox 8.0.1? That version from last November is no longer secure and has been superseded by Firefox 11. If you browse the web widely, you should update for your security.

    How can I set my Messages to view by date ?
    I don't like them to organize by thread.
    Are there any software to help me?

    You can't. By design and intention messages are provided/organized in conversation/threaded format by each contact you exchange messages with and the messages within each conversation are sorted by date.
    There is no 3rd party software/apps available that can change this with the included Messages application.

  • How can I set the text feild in a form to print out the entire feild?

    Right now it's only printing out what shows in the box, I want the box to expand when printed and show all the text entered in the field, how can I set it to do that?

    I think that the font size has to be set in the form itself, not the FDF.

  • In my received emails, how can I get Firefox to open URL links that begin with "click."?

    In my emails, how can I get Firefox to open links that begin with the word "click."? Instead of giving the me the message that says, for example, "Firefox can't find the server at click.americas.links.hp.com." This also happens when I try to open the links using Explorer.

    This link was not valid when I clicked it. Please contact the person sending these links they do not seem to work. The page takes me to a page that says it will load after 5 seconds, however there is not valid link.

  • How Can I Set a Javascript Value into an Attribute of BSP PAGE

    Hi
    Can anyone tell me.
    How Can I Set a Javascript Value into an Attribute of BSP PAGE

    Hi Mithlesh,
    javascript runs on client side and you cannot assign the value to a Page attribute directly.
    As a workaround,you can use an Inputfield,hidden if required,and set the value using javascript.Then the form will have to be submit to be able to read the value in onInputProcessing and then can be assigned to any variable.
    In Layout
    <head>
    <script language="javascript">
    function pass()
       txt1 = document.getElementById("ip_mrf");
       txt.value = "hello" ;
    </script>
    </head>
    <htmlb:inputField  id="ip_mrf"
                               value="<%=mrf_number%>"
                               visible="FALSE"/>
    in onInputProcessing
    cha1 = request->get_form_field( 'ip_mrf' ).
    where cha1 is the page attribute
    hope this helps,
    Regards,

  • How can I set VM parameters except Xms and Xmx?

    I can set the Xms and Xmx as the following:
    <j2se version="1.4+" initial-heap-size="80m" max-heap-size="80m"/>
    but how can I set other VM parameter such as Xmn,XX:SurvivorRatio,and some which to special JVM(for example:JRockit)?

    There is a whole list ov vm-args considered "safe" by java web start listed in the developers guide at:
    http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/guide/javaws/developersguide/syntax.html#resources
    these can be set with the new arg to the j2se element, vm-args like this:
    <j2se version="1.5.0+" java-vm-args="-esa -Xnoclassgc"/>

  • How can I set Firefox (in about:config?) to NEVER bother me with update notifications?

    Welp, the question says it all. Or almost all of it. I DETEST the latest, MENU-LESS version of Firefox (and it DOESN'T help that, by standing on my head and spitting wooden nails in a particular direction, I CAN actually find everything contained in the old menus), and therefore I force-installed the previous version (28.0), but my problem is that I am still pestered with prompts that urge me to upgrade to version 29.0. I resent THE HELL OUT OF THAT! I resent ANYTHING NANNY-LIKE that is IN MY FACE!
    So, I thought that by setting certain app.update parameters, I could be rid of that UPDATE SCOURGE - and in fact, it seems to have worked on my Linux-only desktop - but, alas, no, it is still there, still very much IN MY FACE on my dual-boot (openSUSE & Win7) desktop PC!
    What, then, can I do to be rid of those update prompts? (Note that I am hoping that at some point in a not too distant future, Mozilla will offer, for each new version, a WUS and an I'M THE MAN variant, where the latter allows the user to steer the vehicle, as it were... if this never materializes, then at some point (when I deem Firefox 28.0 to be too unstable to use any longer), I will ditch Firefox in favor of an alternative that retains a semblance of the male's hobby-garage look (as oppose to HER slick, everything-hidden, kitchen-cabinet look!).
    Thanks!
    I am running openSUSE 13.1 in dual-boot iwith Window 7, and it is only on the SUSE interface that I am having the problem (on Win7, earlier versions allow me to tick a 'don't install anything, ever' box via preferences, rather than having to seek a solution in about:config). Right now I am using Firefox 28.0, having force-downgraded from the latest version.

    The Link I gave you above won't tweak Firefox but rather give you a brief overview on what's new in Firefox 29.
    The link below will show you how to customize Firefox 29 to look like previous versions of Firefox before 29.
    *https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-to-make-new-firefox-look-like-old-firefox
    I also mentioned you can toggle some prefs in about:config to disable automatic updating
    You can set these prefs in about:config to disable automatic updating:<br>
    app.update.auto - false<br>
    app.update.enabled - false<br>
    app.update.silent - false<br>

  • HT4356 How can I set the default to draft instead of normal printing?

    I'd like to do most of my printing in Draft mode to save ink.  How do I set that as the default, or even change it on the fly, when printing from the iPad Mini to an AirPrint printer?  I have an HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus.
    Thanks!

    I've got the printer's default set to draft and that works well for printing from the computer.
    AirPrint seems to override that and always prints in Normal mode.

  • How can I set firefox as my main page?

    Another site, (search.USA ?) has taken over my browser and opens when I go online. I want to change my homepage back to firefox but have been unsuccessful. How do I reset to firefox?

    Try this. First, remove or disable any USA add-ons. Then go
    to''' Firefox options''' >''' General'''. Look for the home page selection
    and enter what you want. I previously had a link here, but it was not correct.

  • How can I get Firefox to "grab onto" and then "hold onto" the data signal until I tell Firefox to release it at the end of my session of internet browsing?

    ok, I hope that my description of this problem does not come out in such a disorganized fashion that it makes the description difficult to follow. here goes: every 30 seconds to 1 minute (or thereabouts, I'm estimating) my mobile phone's browser (whether Firefox or any other) loses the data signal, so that tje next time that. I click on something, I get an error message that the "data connection timed out, retry" or "network unavailable" or "check that you are connected to that internet", etc. etc. etc. I have downloaded many apps that are supposed to boost data connectivity and/or improve internet speed, blah, blah, blah, till I discovered that was a problem with the server being able to keep up with staying locked onto my browser. in one of these apps diagnostic screens, I found a notation that therr was something wrong with my cell's relative position. well, how could that be, I wondered, since I had "GPS tracking" "GPS reporting" and "location sharing" all enabled? but, then I noticed, on the image of my cell's location as represented by this particular app, that every half minute, or so, the blue dot which represented my cell's location would slip to the left about one quarter of an inch, or so, and in the longitude and latitude part of this app's diagnostic screen I saw that the numerical designations of my cell's longitude and latitude were zero and zero. it suddenly occurred to me that the server had lost sight of my cell because my cell had moved too far out of the range of that server's sight due to the rotation of the earth. well, blow me down, what am I supposed to do to fix that? how can I tell my cell phone's OS to send out some kind of identifying info on a constant basis, so that the server could keep track of it (and I would not lose the signal)? or, conversely, how could I get my cell phone's browser to grab onto the signal and not let go of it until I was done with that internet session, at which time I would then manually release the signal myself? I hope that my explanation of the problem made enough sense that you could follow it and that you can come up with a workable solution for me. oh yeah, my phone is an LG OPTIMUS ELITE 696. thanx, from the enragedkangaroo.

    Hello,
    I'm afraid I don't think there is going to be much we can do to help you here. The description sounds like an issue with the phone rather than with Firefox specifically.
    I don't think the problem can be caused by you moving out of range of the cell, due to the rotation of the earth. The cell towers (that provide phone signal) are sitting on the earth, just like you, and so move at the same speed as you. This might be a concern with satellite phones using Low Earth Obit satellites but this isn't the case here.
    I think the best thing to do would be to get in touch with your Phone Operator or Device Manufacturer for support. If you are out of the support period or can't get support from them for some other reason then a standard 'cure-all' for mobile phones is to do a Factory Reset. This will return your phone to its default factory settings and wipe all of your data / modifications off the phone. This tends to solve most problems and is probably what the official support team would tell you to do. I can't guarantee that it will help but it has a good chance.
    There are instructions on resetting your phone here:
    http://www.hard-reset.com/lg-optimus-elite-hard-reset.html
    I hope that helps.
