How can I set Firefox up with previously saved profiles? I had to erase my hard drive but saved my Firefox profiles to another drive first and copied them back but I don't know how to set up the browser to reload/recognize them.

Reinstall iPhoto.
To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5: Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows: In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
/var/db/receipts/
2c: on 10.7 or later they're at
/private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store or have a Recent Mac you can find it in your Purchases List.

I have downloaded Word in icloud have opened a project named Recipes and added a recipe now I don't know how to write and save another recipe to the same place. I don't see anyway to save?

After using the Word in ICloud and creating a new project named recipes then putting a recipe in now I don't know how to add a new page with another recipe and save it to the same project the first one is in. I don't see any icon that will save?

I think it is the set up assistant. It's the first thing that appears when you turn on the iPhone , i have not cellphone signal and my sim card is already in.

If you are seeing an Apple ID that is not yours, then you have purchased content on your iPad that is tied to that Apple ID. You would need to know that password or remove the content that is associated with that Apple ID.

I have had my Macbook for 18 months and have never experienced this problem with strange windows suddenly opening in Safari. I know this happens on windows 8 computers a lot, and it has never happened on my Macbook before.
Please can someone tell me how to get rid of these. I have reset my Safari and rebooted my computer, and don't know what else to do. This is very frustrating, as I cannot just do what I need to do.

Firefox 8, Linux--firefox has no toolbar/menu/whatever at the top of the Print Preview page. NO back button. nothing. don't know how I lost it, how can I get it back? other machines I use with firefox 8 don't have this problem.

somewhere around the time of updating to firefox 8 (I can't be certgain exactly when it was, but I think it was a little while after the update) the print preview screen started showing up with no toolbar at the top, just the window contents and the frame. there's no way to choose "print", or "close print preview" or any other option because there are no options shown.

It sounds like you ran Live Verification, i.e. used Verify Disk against your startup disk while booted from such. One can Verify, but not Repair, the current startup disk.
Run the Procedure specified in my "Resolving Disk, Permission, and Cache Corruption" FAQ. Perform the steps therein in the order specified.
If Disk Utility still fails to repair the disk, see the "Disk Utility cannot repair the disk" section of that same FAQ.

Text Messaging and calendar Alerts are silent. Don't know how to turn them back on.

My phone has suddenly stopped making sounds for texts or calendar reminders. I checked the settings and it says it should be making a sound. I get vibrating. The only sound I get is the phone ringing for calls. I'm missing lots of text and reminders.

I dont' believe it every text since the test text has been silent again. I did another "hard reset" and this time it didn't clear the problem. Thought maybe my test text from the computer might be the only text that gets a sound, but nope. Again I'm running silent with only vibration.

To begin, quit Lightroom
On Windows do the following
Click the Windows start button and in the search box type:-
%appdata%\adobe\lightroom
Then press the Return\Enter key
That will take you to the Lightroom folder (see image below)
Select the Preferences folder and hit delete to send it to the recycle bin.
Close the Lightroom folder and re-start the Lightroom program.

I'm going on holiday in 6 hours (In an aircraft) and I have an iPod Photo, and I might be stupid but, I'm paranoid about the aircraft crashing, and on top of that, I don't know how to turn my iPod 'off'
There isn't time to make it turns itself off over 48 hours as I only have 6 >_<
Does putting it into 'sleep' (Holding down the play/pause for a few seconds) and sliding hold have the same effect as 'off' or as good as?
