How can I set up email in my iphone 4?

I tried so many times to set up, I start to do it, settings, mail..., add account, I chose outlook I add my email and password, verified but that's it, It doesn't show me for IMAP or POP... to add my info.. What should I do?   It doesn't works....     I did it with gmail and works perfectly, immediately.

    Hello Agdade,
I'd love to provide insight into your inquiry. I appreciate all that you've done thus far. Let's ensure we get this e-mail set up.
I found a very helpful link from our friends at Microsoft that will help you set up the outlook e-mail. The key when setting up a POP3 or IMAP with outlook is choosing "other" as an option.http://bit.ly/UAUkfm

    Hi RK GARG,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!
The article below will explain how to access the Advanced settings in your email account.
Click on the link to see screen shots.
To answer your question ... change the Deleted Messages -  Remove field to Never
Using a POP account with multiple devices

In Settings, select Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
Select the account for which you wish to change the settings.

    Settings>Mail Contacts and Calendars>Add Account

  • How can I set up email so that if I delete a message on the iPhone it deletes it on my mac

How can I set up my email so that if I delete a message on my Mac it will also be deleted on my iPhone 6 and iPad

    Why would you want that?
Doing so would defeat the purpose of syncing the email account.
Simply move the message to a folder or leave it in the inbox.

  • How can I set up voicmail on my iphone 5?

I just got the iphone 5 yesterday but everytime I go to the phone icon and press voicemail it dials the voicmail number and says to input my mail box number.  I enter my phone number but it says there is no mail box for that number.  How can I set up my voicmail?

Is it a paid account or a free account?
The free accounts can not be set up on the iPhone because the free Hotmail accounts do not user one of the two email server standards, POP3 or IMAP (it uses a proprietary HTTP protocol) which the iPhone requires.
You will need to upgrade to one of the paid hotmail accounts before you can get POP3 access for your email.

  • How can I set up email so I can send iPhoto without using a .mac account?

    Hello!
I am trying to send an iPhoto via email. Since I do not want to set up the .mac account yet, how do I correctly set the email send and receive perimeters? POP?
I want to use my yahoo email.
    Thanks!
    Powerbook G4   Mac OS X (10.4.4)

    Thanks again Allan.
I figured out the AOL iChat LATE last night.
I finally got my email up and running. I called Cox to get the correct POP and SMTP addresses. It still wasn't sending, I spoke with Apple who confirmed I had all my perimeters set up correctly. Back to Cox. After a couple frustrating hours, the only reason the email was not sending was that Cox did not support the SSL that I had checked off.
The great thing about Mac (which I kept overlooking) was when I was trying to send my email, it was giving me hints for example the error message smtp.etc is not connecting with the SSL. I could have saved myself some trouble by unchecking that and testing it earlier.

  • How can I set up Gmail on my iPhone with a different domain name?

I'm an ASU student so my email ends in @asu.edu. However its a Gmail account and I just got a new iPhone and I would really like to set it up through the mail app but it won't let me. Every time I type my email and password in the phone says: "The user name or password for "imap.gmail.com" is incorrect"...but I know it isn't. Is there a way I can do this?
    Thanks!

This should work; one of my e-mail accounts is my own domain through Gmail.  Make sure your username is set to your full e-mail address (like [email protected]) rather than just your username.
Did you set it up on your iPhone as an IMAP account, or as a Gmail account?  It should work perfectly using the Gmail setting.  It can work as IMAP, but you need to jump through a few hoops to get there.

  • How can I delete bulk emails from my iPhone?

I have an iMac, an iPhone and iPad, all running latest software.  My Mail accounts are with Gmail and Hotmail.  My problem is that I have a huge number of emails on my devices which I cannot delete.  The methods I have read about don't seem to work, everything reappears.  Is this because of synching acroos the devices?  How can I keep my iMac as the main repository for Mail, and from time to time delete all the copies on my devices knowing they wil be safe on my iMac?  I'd really appreciate guidance on this.  Many thanks!

  • How can i set up emails with header and signature

    HI all
I have an email account that is work only, all emails sent have a graphic header on the top, and finish with my name and company contact details.
I would like this done automatically, Currently I drag the header in, which is a pain when I send a lot. I have set up the signature but when I reply to an email, it puts the signature at the bottom of the whole email and not just the reply. Is there a way of making my life easier.
    Russ

For Apple Mail, you can set this up using what is called "stationery"; it's off to the top right of the message composition window when you're sending a message. Click that, and select the stationery you want to fill in. See the mail documentation and see the "Save As Stationery..." options in the menu.
Mac OS X Server doesn't AFAIK have a mechanism for automatically inserting this sort of stationery stuff at the mail server; the message contents are largely determined locally at the Apple Mail or other mail client.
Here's [Apple Mail Stationery Pro Tip|http://www.apple.com/pro/tips/mail_templates.html]. As for selecting this by default, I don't know that that's available without some local customizations. There are ways to cause a particular template to open by adding it into the dock or the Finder sidebar, but I don't know of an integrated way to automatically and always select a default stationery for your messages.
See if the folks over in the [Apple Mail forums|http://discussions.apple.com/forum.jspa?forumID=1338] might know more about that.
And here are [more details than you probably want|http://developer.apple.com/Mac/library/documentation/AppleApplications/Con ceptual/MailArticles/Articles/stationery.html] on how this stuff is constructed.
