Okay, cheers, so I guess it's stored in the application prefs. I just installed Snow L last week and it bothered me that everytime I opened a document I had to set my pref again. You best ask the windows gallery people. Thunderbird opening more than one window is based on yhow the request is made, not on Thunderbird,
Selecting multiple files in explorer simply adds them to a mail, therefore the Windows gallery is the problem.

It will always use WiFi if available. If the phone goes to sleep it drops the WiFi connection unless you plug it in to power. Have you checked to see which app is using the cell data?

I monitor on my system and found Wifi connection try 2 times with saved credential and prompt for new password
When I enter the corrected new password . So I the proxy server detected the invalid login 3 times or more and lock those account.

when i check "allow pages to select their own font" tweetdeck shows up fine but a number of other pages show fonts that are too big or some non standard fonts.

You can just set a hot corner to black the screen and it won't go to sleep.
Ensure the sleep slider is at never.
Go to System Preferences, and click "Exposé & Spaces"
Go to the "Exposé" Tab, you will see "Active Screen Corners"
Change one to "Sleep Display" So when you put your cursor to the corner and leave it there (don't touch it or it will come back to a normal screen) it will be black but won't sleep!
