How can I set up various mailboxes in Mail on my iPad.
How can I set up various mailboxes in Mail on my iPad.
I am using a Pop account and don't want to change this setup.
I use two devices to access the same email account but I am not experiencing any lockout issues.
Mail is simply not giving me any options to create mailboxes and there must be a way of doing this. If I can do it in my iMac, surely I can do the same thing on my iPad.
-Tap "Settings" app,
-Select "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" option on the left hand side,
-On the right, under "Accounts" on top, tap "Add Account...",
-Select one of the email service providers or "Other",
-Under "Mail", tap "Add Mail Account",
-A window pops up and enter your new email account details.
-Repeat for new email accounts.

How can I set up hotmail in the mail application
Hi
How can I set the mail application to include hotmail? I've been able to add it, but it doesn't sync read and unread messages. I know iPhones used to have the same problem, but after iOS5, there was an option to include mail from hotmail. Is there an option to include hotmail now in Mail, as I can't find it.
Also, as I've just switched from Windows to Mac, is there a button on Mac for home and end like Windows has?
ThanksUnfortunately hotmail requires you to pay a fee to have your e-mail go through a mail application, like Apple Mail. Contact their customer service to see about fees, as well as set up process.

How can I set up Unity mailbox to deliver messages to email mailbox?
Unity Newbie! Where do I configure a voice mailbox to deliver messages to user's email mailbox?
Andrea,
The previous post simply alludes to the fact that Unity doesn't have a built-in mailstore - instead it relies on Exchange (or in some cases, Domino). Unity can be set up in a Voicemail Only configuration or Unified Messaging configuration. If you have Unity, AD, and Exchange installed all on one box then this is usually indicative of voicemail only. In other words, your Unity server is also a domain controller and Exchange server in a standalone domain used just for itself. When you create subscribers, an associated AD and Exchange account are created but within the domain associated with Unity (not the domain users log into so the users are only aware of the phone login credentials). In Unified Messaging, your Unity would be a MEMBER of an existing AD domain and would integrate with a corporate Exchange server or cluster. In this configuration, the account associated with a subscriber is the account they use everyday - in other words, their voicemail resides in their Exchange inbox that they connect to via Outlook.
My guess is that you have voicemail only configuration today but are looking to do 1 of 3 things:
1) Unified Messaging - voicemail is actually integrated with your corporate Exchange and all voicemails natively reside in the inbox
2) Mail Relay - voicemail messages are relayed from the existing Unity to an email address configured for a user
3) Integrated Messaging - user can configure an IMAP folder in their email client and have access to voicemail from within a separate mailbox in the client
Which sounds like your requirement? If you have more questions, just ask.

How can I set a default window in MAIL (10.6.8) so that it's 27" wide?
I don't recall this problem pre-OSX. Opening MAIL (in Snow Leopard) results in a window that completely fills my iMac's 27" monitor, almost 100% of the time – even though when exiting MAIL I have all windows to a manageable size.
How can I limit MIAL to a default window sufficient to contain a "normal" e-message?Shrink the window to the size you want, quit mail (may not even have to do that), and then the window will be that size until you change it. Similarly for new message windows. Mail remembers (or should remember) the size you set its various windows to.
Update:
Hmm, you say you did that. So what happens if you try this from another account? Also, FWIW, the mail preferences are kept in com.apple.mail.plist. If you are willing to potentially loose your mail settings and recreate them then you could try removing that and starting over. -
How can I set up a hot spot on my new iPad. I can't call 611 as suggested.
I would like to set up a hot spot with my new iPad but can't figure out how to do that. I cannot log on to the suggested web site and, of course, I can't dial 611 from my iPad.
Good pointer. It lead me to a phonenumber to call and a real person who said she could help set up my personal hot spot. After that things too a turn for the worse. She could not set up the hot spot without cancelling my grandfathered unlimited data plan. She said I had to cancel that and buy a $50/mo 5Gig plan. I told her that is not what the AT&T wireless iPad support web site said. She wouldn't budge and I wouldn't cave in and accept a new plan - so - I did not get a hot spot, but I get to keep my unlimited $30/mo data plan.
End of discussion for now. I'm going to try to find a basis for an appeal. Wish me luck. If I succeed, I'll post here. If not, thanks to the members of this support community for your assistance. -
Mail - How can I set up a mailbox on an external drive?
I am using a 13 inch MacBook Pro for work, running OS X Yosemite (ver. 10.10.3). I have a 4TB external drive attached, a portion of which I use for Time Machine and the rest is available for storage. I use the mail application to handle all of my email accounts. I currently store my email messages in mailboxes on my server. However, we have limits on our work Exchange server. I have a limited amount of storage on my MacBook Pro and a lot of email with a lot of large attachments. I suspect that I will quickly fill my MacBook Pro storage. So, I would like to create a mailbox on my external drive to which I will store these larger messages. Can someone tell me if this is possible and if so how to do it?
You can select a folder in Mail and export the folder as an Apple mbox file. You will not be able to view these messages in Mail without having to import back into Mail.
Select Mailbox
Under Mailbox in the Menu bar, select Export Mailbox...
If you want access, to these emails that is a bit trickier. Let me know and we can discuss options. -
How can I set up filters on my mail accounts on my iPad?
I want to put filters on my email when using my iPad so as to suppress spam and other undesirable messages. How do I do this?
You can't do it with the Mail app, you need to set any filters before the emails arrive on the iPad - does your email provider have any settings that you can enable if you log into your account via a browser ?

How do I set up different folders in mail on my iPad using hotmail
Tried to sort inbox with new folders, unable to do so.
These two discussions state that you should set up the account as an Exchange account. Links to instructions are in the threads.

I do not use hotmail so I'm not familiar with it. I can tell you that if there is no "New Mailbox" button that pops up at the bottom of the screen when you tap the "Edit" button at the top of the screen - when you are in that email account - my guess is that it is a POP email account and that's why you need one of these Exchange account workarounds. -
HT5620 How can I set up two separate accounts on one iPad?
How can I set up two separate accounts on one shared iPad?
The iPad is meant to be a single user device.
It is possible to use multiple ID's on an iOS device, but when you switch ID's and download content with another ID, you associate the device with that ID for 90 days and lock yourself out of the other ID for that 90 day period.
So while it is possible, it's not advisable. -

How can we set Admin rights to access all user mailboxes in IMAP server exchange 2010?
Hi,
IMAP is in exchange 2010..
as per guide:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj200730%28v=exchg.150%29.aspx
CSV Files for IMAP Migration Batches`
Use super-user or administrator credentials. This requires that you use an account in your IMAP messaging system that has the necessary rights to access all user mailboxes.
In the CSV file, you use the credentials for this account for each row. To learn whether your IMAP server supports this approach and how to enable it, see the documentation for your IMAP server.
How can we set Admin rights to access all user mailboxes in IMAP server exchange 2010?
thanks?Hi,
Do you mean assigning a user full access permission to all other mailboxes? If so, we can try the following command:
Get-Mailbox -Server “Exchange 2010” | Add-MailboxPermission -User AdminUserName -AccessRights FullAccess
Thanks,
Winnie Liang
