How can I share a file with another mac computer?

I would like to send a file to my girlfriends computer. A macbook pro. I have a macbook. Can you tell me how to do this? Is it with file sharing, or blue tooth or something else. I is a logic .aif file.

There does seem to be a presumption in the other reply that your girlfriend is living with you.
A File transfer via Bonjour would then work.
Also the File Sharing in System Preferences > Sharing would cause her computer to show up on your Finder's side bar as a Share.
With iChat if you both have AIM Login names you could still do File Transfers.
(It is slightly more complicated if you have Jabber ID logged in alothough not impossible).

How do I share some files with another Mac?

My main computer is an iMac Intel Processor, iOS 10.10.2. I'd like to have one folder of files that can be accessed and edited via a Macbook. But I don't want the Macbook to have access to all of the files on the iMac.

Mac Mini will not boot OS, can I get to files with another Mac?

My mac mini will not boot the OS proserly, it goes to a screen that tells me that some root folder can not be found.
The install CD works and I can boot to it. The disk utility reports no problems, all disk repairs done and OK.
The computer still will not boot to the OS.
How can I get the files I need off the drive before I reinstall the OS?
I have other Macs and fire wire cables, cross over cables, regular eithernet cables. What can I do?

I just want to send my sister one song from my iTunes because its a recording of her daughter when she was 2. She no longer has the file and I only have it saved in my iTunes from a long ago. The only known file is the one I have saved on iTunes. I tried to do home sharing but I dont know how to do that being we are in different states. She lives in Oklahoma and I live in California. She has a mac computer as do I. We are both current with updates, is there a way to Ping it to her? Or even translate the file to the desktop to send in an email?
Any help will due. Her daughter will be turning 10 soon, I thought it would be cute to show her the clip of when she was smaller!

Just email it.
In iTunes, drag the file to the desktop.
On the desktop, select the file right click Share > email.

You can export the tracklist from iTunes. You shouldn't be sending actual music to them since that would be in violation of copyright.
