How can I share contacts with Android users via the "share contact" button via messaging or otherwise

Appologies in advance if this has been asked before.
I have an iPhone 5/iOS 6. My friend(s) use Android phones. At times, they request a contact I have, but every time I select "Share Contact" via the button in my iPhone's Contact list, either as an Email or Message, they recieve an unusable file format - in other words, it just doesn't get to them. If I manually copy and paste the fields into a txt, they will get the info. Is there an app, or something I need to do differently to be able to share contacts with Android users via the "Share Contact" button in iOS?

Shouldn't be an issue here, as the iPhone shares the contact info in standard vCard format.

I've about had it up to here with this new Photos scheme. I reorganised my Aperture libraries on both my iMac and MBA in preparation for this, delayed turning Photos on for a couple of days until I thought everything was ready based upon the limited advice that was out there, and then got stuck in an endless loop of "uploading" and "preparing" every time I opened Photos. There are 19,975 images in my Aperture library on the iMac. I was stuck at Uploading at anywhere between that number and 19,000 with no progress after hours of waiting. I tried all the tricks mentioned here including re booting, restarting the app, repairing/rebuilding the database, killing the "cloudd" process, etc.today Today when I restarted Photos, it now said I had 23,775 images to upload- 4000
more than I have-and of course it got stuck there, like it has for the last week.
I copied the previous Aperture library (pre Photos migration)back to my iMac and opened it in Aperture. Thankfully, all the photos I had taken on my iPhone this week during this Photos clusterphuck transition were in the Aperture Stream so I didn't lose any of those. I'm willing to give this whole thing one more shot. So i need some advice. How can I start anew with Photos and clear the (minimal) stuff it has uploaded (about 6000 of 19,000 images in the last 7 days) ? If I simply delete the Photos.photolibrary file will that do the trick and lt me start a new fresh library using?

It is hard to say from your post, why the migration did not succeed in your case.
by "stuck on upload" do you mean, you opened the Aperture library in Photos, and Photos converted it to a Photo Library, and then the upload to iCloud Photo Library did hang? Or did already the upgrade to the Photo Library fail?
If you want the Aperture library to upload to iCloud Photo Library, it needs to be on a disk formatted MacOS Extended (Journaled) and the original image files must not be referenced. Referenced originals will not upload.
Also, the upload may hang, if you do not have enough free iCloud storage, orr if one of the videos or photos in your library is in an unsupported format or corrupted.
To start over, try to repair and rebuild the Aperture library before opening it in Photos. Try all Aperture Library First Aid options - starting with repairing the permissions. (Repairing and Rebuilding Your Aperture Library: Aperture 3 User Manual)

You will have to delete the photos that are already in icloud too; otherwise you are risking duplicates.
Can you launch Photos at all? If yes, delete all photos in Photos and empty the Recently Deleted album. Wait for the deletion to sync to iCloud. Then delete the Photos.photolibrary.

You need to use LiveCycle (PC Only) to create a dynamic form like that.
The best you can do with Acrobat to view all of the text in a field is to set the field to multiline, and set the size to "Auto" (If you don't set the size to 'Auto', you can enter as much text as you wish, but the user will need to use the scrollbar to view all of the text.)

     From initial screen of data dictionary(T.Code: SE11), enter the name of object i.e. view.
     Select view radio button and click on the push button.
     Dialog box is displayed for types of views.
     Select the view type.
     On the next screen, you have to pass following parameters.
     Short text
     In the table box you need to enter the table names, which are to be related.
     In join table box you need to join the two tables.
     Click on the TABFIELD. System displays the dialog box for all the table fields and user can select the fields from this screen. These fields are displayed in the view fields box.
     Save and Activate: When the view is activated, view is automatically created in the underlying database system. As long as the table exists in the database, the view also exists (Unless you delete it).

First..I am new to this forum and find the information provided to be very helpful... I had followed the iTunes link above to enable sharing between users in the same computer but it appears to be working on partially. What setup am I looking for ?
1. We have an iMac (Snow Leopard) with 1 Adult ID and 2 children IDs
2. The iTunes music folder is stored in a Shared public folder where the Adult ID has read/write access and the 2 kids with read-only access (so that they don't accidently delete songs...:-)
3. The iTunes on the Adult ID has the access to purchase songs. The kids have no acccess to buy songs
4. All songs, podcasts to be visible to all users
What has happened ?
1. I am able to make the base of songs visible to all users
2. However when a song is purchased by the adult account ..it is not visible to the kids account ..:-{
3. The same thing occurs when a song is imported from a CD
4. When a new playlist is created by the Adult account it is not visible to the kids account ..:-(
How can I make changes made by the Adult be made visible to the kids without having the need to constant add music files or libraries for each kid..?

How can I use Itunes for different users on the same PC

I have itunes loaded with my full library. I have now created a second user account on my computer for someone else to access, and I want them to be able to access the full library which I have (4500 songs). How can I do this. Currently, when I open itunes in the other user's desktop, it is completely empty. I did try ticking share my music under preferences, but the library has still not appeared.... I know this must be an easy one, but if someone could help me because I must be a bit dim...........many thanks.

How can I turn off my iphone without using the power off button

I dropped my Iphone 5s in water and now the screen won't allow me to slide it over to power off. There's some water in the screen and it's not working correctly.

Press and hold the "Sleep/Wake" button located on the top of the iPhone.
Hold the "Home" button on the front of the iPhone while continuing to hold the Sleep/Wake button.
Release the buttons as soon as the iPhone's screen turns black to turn it off. Do not continue to hold the buttons or the device will reset.

For iPhoto 09 (version 8.0.2) and later:
What you mean by 'share'.
If you want the other user to be able to see the pics, but not add to, change or alter your library, then enable Sharing in your iPhoto (Preferences -> Sharing), leave iPhoto running and use Fast User Switching to open the other account. In that account, enable 'Look For Shared Libraries'. Your Library will appear in the other source pane.
Any user can drag a pic from the Shared Library to their own in the iPhoto Window.
Remember iPhoto must be running in both accounts for this to work.
If you want the other user to have the same access to the library as you: to be able to add, edit, organise, keyword etc.
Quit iPhoto in both accounts. Move the Library to the Users / Shared Folder
(You can also use an external HD set to ignore permissions, a Disk Image or even partition your Hard Disk.)
In each account in turn: Double click on the Library to open it. (You may be asked to repair the Library Permissions.) From that point on, this will be the default library location. Both accounts will have full access to the library, in fact, both accounts will 'own' it.
However, there is a catch with this system and it is a significant one. iPhoto is not a multi-user app., it does not have the code to negotiate two users simultaneously writing to the database, and trying will cause db corruption. So only one user at a time, and back up, back up back up.

How can I 'login' as a different user via ARD?

It has been too many years and I cannot remember much of anything anymore...
My main computer is running the ARD admin app. I have a 'server' that has the
client software installed and setup to auto login to my admin account on the 'server'.
I can easily connect to the server using ARD... however I would like to connect
as a different user ( the postgresql admin account).
Is is possible to do this via the ARD software?
If I log out on my main admin account on the server while connected via ARD
then the remote desktop software on my main
computer reports that ARD in no longer active on the server client and I cannot access
the server via ARD without rebooting the server.
The help menu in ARD gives an Applescript that supposedly will allow a login from
the clients login screen but I don't seem to recall how to setup the client so
that one can access the server if the login screen is up...
I am running the latest everything...
In short-- Can I use ARD to connect as different users on a client machine? ( if so how)

I enabled postgres in the sharing panel.
When I log out I get the login screen and I can directly
login to the postgres account via ARD.

I have just found out for myself finally, I added my icloud account to his emails and just unticked the mail option and the contacts appeared as if by magic.

You can make one or more calendars of one iphone sharable and the other user will be able to have those sharable calanders synced. Unfortunately, you can't do that with contacts. But you could go to the computer account used by you or your husband, perform a backup of the contacts (see the file menu), copy the file to the other account used to sync the other iphone, and restore. It's a manual process that has to be performed periodically, but doable.
The other method is for each of you to use the same iCloud ID and have both iphones synced to be identical. But I don't recommend that otherwise you'll each get the same text messages and who knows what else.

Thank you Joe - I tried this but it's only showing a teensy amount of music - the stuff on the second users account as opposed to the giagntic library on the 'main' account. I actually went to a Genius Bar and they said that apple doesn't really want you to share music between accounts - parents don't want to hear their kids music etc. Which seemed strange, but it might be the case sadly Thanks anyway!
