How can I shuffle songs within one genre on i0s7?

I have got i0s7 on my iphone 5 and find that when I go into a particular genre of music I can no longer "shuffle" songs from different artists within the same genre. Can anyone help?

You can set any song to Skip when shuffling.
In your iTunes Library, highlight the song and right-click/Get Info. On the Options tab is the Skip when shuffling box. Select that and then Sync the iPod with your Library.

I was at the Apple store today and one of their "geniuses" confirmed it is not possible to shuffle songs in one specific genre. First, make sure you've got the home share set up on both computers, as per the following document. If material on the original PC was bought from the iTunes Store, I'd use the AppleID you used for the purchases to set up the Home Share on both PCs.

You can't copy directly from one iPod to another, you have to copy the songs back to iTunes and update the new iPod from there. You cannot transfer (move) songs to another playlist.
You can copy to a regular playlist but not a smart playlist (with a gear icon).

How can I rearrange songs within an album in the main library?

I have a book on tape that keeps loading out of order. I want to make each chapter a a separate album. Everything works but I can't get the tracks to load in order. Using a playlist would allow me to rearrange but then I can't divide it up into albums. Any suggestions?

Have you used the Info (CTRL-I) function? You can edit all track info there, including track number. Sounds like it would do what you're looking for.

I have all my music from one iTunes, and to put the songs in the iPod and then in the other computer using "transfer purchases" isn't working as it is only transferring apps. That's why I need to get it from one computer to another. Thank you.
