How can i sniff the cancasexl traffic on labview?

For my last year project i need to observe the data traffic passing through the cancasexl, someone can help me or give me an idea?

The zip file in the NI Communities document mentioned above now contains an example VI that simulates a LIN Network with a master node and a configurable number of responding slave nodes.
I wrote it a long time ago to simulate heavy LIN traffic.
It is not as simple as the other included examples but it does show how to simulate a LIN Master node using the the vxlapi.

You want to start with the driver
In case you do not know it, you can do the driver search in LabVIEW from Tools>Instrumentation>Find Instrument Drivers. You might also want to bookmark the Instrument Driver Network for information on what a driver is and how to use it.

How can we download the CANOPEN version for LabVIEW 8.5?

We already bought a CANOpen library that's support the LabVIEW 8.2. How can I get the update for 8.5? Do I need to reorder it? The actual version it is not able to be installed anymore on actual LabVIEW version. What will happend for the 8.6? I didn't see any support for this version yet. This cannot be changed to do not be a LabVIEW version indipendent?

Hello Teodor,
Although the CANOpen library is not officially supported in LabVIEW 8.6, you should be able to use it by copying the following files/folders to the corresponding 8.6 directory:
<LabVIEW 8.2>\examples\CANopen,
<LabVIEW 8.2>\help\lvcanopenvhelp.chm,
<LabVIEW 8.2>\help\lvcanopenvhelp.txt,
<LabVIEW 8.2>\user.lib\CANopen.
<LabVIEW 8.2> corresponds to the location of your LabVIEW 8.2 folder usually C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 8.2.

How can I find the vanishing point with Labview?

I am using a myRIO for developing a system for helping visually imapaired people in their navigation. I have already done the image processing of what is being aquired by the camera (edge detection and finding of straight lines).
How can I fin the vanishing point from the two edges of a path in an image with LabVIEW? Is there any special function that I can use?

if you are using Linux (and the Linux version of LabVIE W) it should be
fairly easy to use the lm_sensors ( http://www.netroedge.com/~lm78/ )
libraries and source code to control a device connected to a PC's I2C bus.

the I2C bus of your PC. You may be able to apply info here to roll-your-own
on a MS Windows 98 / 2000 OS.

How can I set the sampling frequency in Labview if I am not using DAQ?

I am working with bluetooth to send my four signals from my circuit to the computer. So, I am using VISA to acquire the data in labview. Since as you know its not possible to use DAQ while using bluetooth.
anyway after getting the signal I need to filter ir for analysis part and I am using filter express VI from signal processing's functions. However, I am getting error, since I dont have the sampling frequency set and I am not able to set it in my filter function either.
I was wondering If there is a way of making labview recognize the clock-timer as the sampling rate or any other way to set the sampling frequency somewhere before the filters.

Sender side is sendng 2 bytes of FF in the begining of the loop and 2 bytes of zeros between each signal, I am attaching the code as ICCV8 file (I will also attach it as a notepad file), so you can see what I mean. I had written some solutions for that as well in my program before but not sure if it was correct or not. I tried to search for FF bytes as a string, after getting each 18 bytes. But apparently it doesnt find the FF, I reckon because of wrong conversions beforehand, so it stops the programm there. Im attaching the that program now as well. could you please take a look?

I understand what you are referring to in the Premiere Elements 11 Welcome Screen. I see no opportunity to pause what you are seeing. I suspect that what you are seeing are merely "teasers" to encourage you to learn/buy more...Adobe TV and elsewhere. Right now there are 4 sections with buttons to navigate the 4. Each section has certain options, none of which is pause.
a. Button one...display of Top Features and What's New.
b. But I think that Button two is a major spot with its Getting Started, Community Help, Adobe TV, and Facebook links
I would best describe all this as a Helpful Quick Links spot for the user rather than a place to stop or pause.

I'm sending image-files to a custom made printing unit via VISA through the parallel port.
Sometimes the unit doesn't accept the file.
Therefore I need to clear the parrallel port completely and send the file again.
(Right now I'm switching off the unit and waiting for the error message from WindowsNT).
How can I clear the parrallel port via LabVIEW?
(VISA clear.vi doesn't work, the data is still on the port).

Maybe you can try the "VISA Flush I/O Buffer" vi (VISA - VISA Advanced -
Interface Specific). It worked on a serial port, but I have no idea if it
works
also on a parallel port. It is worth trying it.

CSS SSL Proxy - how can I write the original source address in http header

I'm replacing some BigIP's with CSS11500's that are configured to do front/backend ssl proxying in a one-armed configuration. The BigIP's write the original source IP address as a http header value when the traffic is sent to the application, and the application uses the IP to match against an application ACL. How can I do the same in the CSS.

First find out why your report is performing slowly. Then fix it.
That sounds silly, but there's really no single-path process for improving report performance. You might find issues with the report. With the network. With the universe. With the database. With the database design. With the query definition. With report variables. With the ETL. Once you figure out where the problem is, then you start fixing it. Fixing one problem may very well reveal another. I spent two years working on a project where we touched every single aspect of reporting (from data collection through ETL and all the way to report delivery) at some point or another.
I feel like your question is a bit broad (meaning too generic) to address as you have phrased it. Even some of the suggestions already given...
Array fetch size - this determines the number of rows fetched at a single pass. You really don't need to modify this unless your network is giving issues. I have seen folks suggest setting this to one (which results in a lot of network requests) or 500 (which results in fewer requests but they're much MUCH larger). Does either improve performance? They might, or they might make it worse. Without understanding how your network traffic is managed it's hard to say.

And I could go on and on. The bottom line is that performance tuning doesn't typically fall into a "cookie cutter" approach. It would be better to have a specific question.

What you mean to say is that your Internet connecion appears slow, not that your connection between your modem and your PC is slow. However, be warned that some manufacturers have limited their hardware to 10Base-T Half-Duplex mode (i.e. 10 Mbps) as most ISPs had not increaseed their traffic loading.
At Charter Communications, we recently added 10 Meg x 1 Meg service, and will be increasing that down the line, but not for some years.
Still, you are very unlikely to be able to push even 50% of that link, due to the self-protection and bandwidth-conservation built into network protocols.
Do a trace route to any website to find out (if possible) where a link may be slow. After that, do a continious ping (Windows: ping -t [site]), and see if there is any packet loss occuring, or possibly the website being slow at some times. (Ctrl+C will stop the ping).
I work at our divisional NOC and know a lot about our systems, and why things go slow. Please note that during maintenance windows (typicallt midnight to 5 am) some core and access equipment may have changes being made to them that slow speed as well.

I have an airport extreme, I downloaded the Airport Utility, I connected the printer and everyting is fine, I can access the printer from other computers at home. Then I unplugged the printer and connected an USB disk (working of course), and everything is fine, Airport Utility detected it. However, I dont know how can I access the disk from the computers. I have all windows 7 computers at home, but now way to see the disk. What I am doing wrong

I don't use this setting, so can't offer much assistance, but do know that your computer is exposed to the Internet, so it will receive all inbound traffic.
Normally, a typical use of Default Host would be to setup a game console to allow online gaming when NAT settings otherwise would not allow communications to occur.
You might want to start a new post for your question...but to get informed responses....you will need to state what you are trying to do. what steps you have performed, etc.

You need the first Internet connection in order to share another connection with the other devices. If you use the Mac and Internet Sharing, then the connection is only going to be as fast as that connection and maybe a little slower since you are all sharing that connection.
You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear as the saying goes, you cannot speed up the connection by any magical means.
You should be able to use the personal hotspot feature on the phone if the carriers there support it.

Well I'll guess you're using iPhoto 11:
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
