How can I split up a 248 sites document into multiple 8 sites documents?
Hi, i made an really big indesign document (248 sites, >300mb). The print guy now doesn't want that. He wants multiple 8 pages documents (yes open indesign documents - not pdf or something).
How can I do this without messing up my whole document?
I also have another question.. I once made a task in InCopy for testing purposes, but now i don't want it anymore. I deleted the folder where it was in, and now i keep getting an error at the start of the document that the task isn't there anymore. How can i complete delete this task out of Indesign, so that he doesn't even search for this task thing.

The correct answer is that you need to find a new printer, but you can use the Move Pages command in the Pages panel flyout menu to move pages in chunks of 8 into new files. Rename the A master page first to preserve it (identically named master pages and styles will be redefined to use the definitions in the receiving document), and move the pages "before" page 1 in the new file so they don't switch sides of the spread. Delete the blank page 9 after moving. You'll also need to set the start page number for each file (or you can let ID do that by combining them into a Book (.indb) afterwards.
This is going to destroy hyperlinks and cross-references, if you used them, the TOC or index if they need to be updated, and it's going to do bad things to threaded text across the document breaks.

You can import the track into GarageBand and then split the tracks there. Once that it is done you can highlight the ruler section and then share the song to iTunes to get them separated out.

Use different Apple IDs for iMessage (and also FaceTime) to avoid getting each others text messages (and FaceTime calls). One of you should go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive (and Settings>FaceTime), tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with a different ID. You can continue to shared the same ID for the iTunes store and other services.

One thing you should do though and that is to update Firefox via Help | Check For Updates.
There was a security breach at Comodo which is an SSL certificate provider recently whereby a number of fraudulent certificates were inadvertently issued. These allow a hacker to impersonate any site including online banking and the Firefox version you're running at the moment will not warn you that the site is a fake. 8/21/2006. How can I split a QuickTime file in two? I saved a two hour videotape converted by PYRO A/V LINK to iBook G4 combo into a file of 24.5 Gb, and I saved to QuickTime into 536 mgs. Of course, it took half a day. When I went to copy it as video (536 mgs) onto a CD of 700 mg capacity, Toast 7 said it required 1100 mgs and couldn't do it. I have QuickTime Pro, got just recently. Kirk, Thanks for your post Monday 8/21. Interesting how things worked out. I split the OuickTime file--of my retired uncle Church of the Brethren pastor's 50th wedding anniversary, and came up with two folders. Each contained four more folders, and inside folder Mvseg was file Avseq.dat which contained the video material and, when double clicked, started playing that half of the story on Windows 98SE. It just so happens that my uncle's PC operating system is a Windows 98SE. All this from QuickTime 7.0 which Windows 98SE would play the audio but not the video. Then a week later, yesterday in fact, in looking through iDVD help I found your solution, which heretofore I had no idea of. I had to go into System Preferences--Hardware--CDs & DVDs, and set these for "Open with 'Ask what you want to do'." The factory settings were to "open these when inserted" without that "Ask"ing. So then I was able and did follow your solution and it worked, but as a single QuickTime file, playable on Windows XP and Windows 2000 and Macintosh but not Windows 98SE. Hey there everyone and thanks for reading my question.
I have a library of flash movies (specifically a library of maps) and when the map movies are run in Flash they call each other just fine (i.e. the USA map will load the Georgia map when Georgia is clicked on the USA map, etc etc etc for each state).
HOWEVER, when I insert the USA map in one of my site pages (I'm working on the site using Dreamweaver CS4) the USA map page will load, but when a state is clicked the area on the page for the map goes blank and the state map does not load.
Short of coding a specific path in each of my state maps (in the Flash editor) is there a way to tell Dreamweaver there is a library of maps, look there for the sub-map?
and if I do have to code the path to the map, can I code a relative path rather than a specific URL address for the maps?
I know this is probably one of those simple things, but I'm not seeing it (can you tell I'm new at this??)

Thanks for the helpful suggestions. Everyone's comments got me to thinking about what the path was in the calls from the maps.
here is what finally worked:

this script code is in the action script for the "georgia" button of my main map - a US Map. (I hope I'm describing all this correctly).

Hi Wayne. Aperture and iPhoto differ in many -- perhaps all -- ways. They were designed (afaict) with radically different users in mind.
To move images into a new Project, select them, then execute "File→New→Project" and check "Move selected items to new project". -

Cory KYou are going to have to clarify what you mean by 'one signal'. If you can specify a multi-channel acquitisiton, then you should be getting back at least an array where each element in the array represents a channel. If you are specifying a single channel and getting back a scalar, you would need to call that three times with a different channel each time.

How can I split a header in two columns?
Hello, for the past hour I've been trying to figure out how can I split/divide a header or footer in to two columns and then align text in the left collumn to left and the text in the right column to right.
For example:

The only solution I have found was adding a table to the header, but it has some weird padding underneath it, which completely screws up its position in the footer.
Anyway, I hope this makes sense and someone here knows how to do this.

Menu > View > Show Ruler
Leave the header left aligned and click on the ruler to create a Centred tab (if required) in the middle and a right hand tab to the right. You change the tabs by right clicking on them and choosing the orientation.
Then enter your text:
Left Text [tab] Centre Text (optional) [tab] Right Text
With Facing pages you can set the Left and Right pages to be different to allow the Page numbers to the outside or inside of the spread.
