You are correct. There is no other way to recover this material, and yes it would have been a good idea to backup the iPhone prior to the restore. Remember that a restore to a previous date deletes everything on the device and puts it back to the state of things on the date you choose. The texts and contacts would be gone. Did you possibly sync the contacts with a supported application on the computer? That is the only other way to recover contacts. They are designed to be synced with a supported application on the computer, or with a cloud service such as iCloud, Google or Yahoo.

Why i keep seeing email on iphone, even after i deleted it directly from the server?
This means it doesnt sync the server inbox, only keeps pushing new emails!
How to force it to realy sync every time the server inbox, and just show me in the iphone inbox exactly what i see in the server inbox???

I'm just fresh in iOS, but dont think its a POP/IMAP matter.
Always used mobile push email apps on symbian and android with POP and never had this issue.
My usual former scheme is:
a) My main email client is Outlook at my laptop (POP). This one is the master email client and after download new emails deletes them at the server.
b) My secondary is a mobile email client (also POP) - just to see whats going on and maybe reply here and there.
Meaning, laptop does cut/paste and mobile does copy/paste
So:
a) If i download a new email first using my laptop, it will never be pushed latter from iphone (its not there anymore).
b) If i download a new email first using my mobile app, and only then download it with laptop, it is still there available, and then gets deleted at the server.
c) If i download a new email first using my mobile app and if i manualy delete it and then perform another sync, then this email is deleted at server, and will be no more available for download to laptop.
Resuming:
1- The laptop ask to server what's in the inbox, downloads it all and then order the server to kill them all.
2- The iphone only ask whats new and downloads it all.
3- The iphone SHOULD ask server what's new, AND ask server what was removed from server inbox since last sync, AND tell server wich emails were removed at iphone since last sync.
As far i remember, at least one symbian app called Profimail does all this quite perfectly...
Any ideas?

Can't change rotating text on revoltion theme after I delete the menu text.

So I export a slideshow to iDVD. By default you have the revolution theme. There is text that says revolution main in the body of the menu and it says revolution main on the rotating text. There is also a button for my slideshow. So I change the revolution main text to what I want the rotating text to be then delete that text on the main menu. The rotating text then stays. But if I want to then change it, I can't see any way to do so because I deleted the button. What was it that I deleted? How do I get it back. I thought it was the title menu, so I add a new title menu button and try to change the text but the rotating text won't change. I am probably missing something simple, but I can't for the life of me figure it out.

Once deleted the title can't [it appears] be changed from the default of 'Revolution Extras' .. which is a nuisance as the rest of the project I'm working on is finished ... I thought i'd wait till the end to name it but find I am struggling to find out how.

HT1414 How can I unlock my at&t iphone 4s once I have the approval from at&t?

Just got approval for Iphone unlock from at&t, it was verified at their site by entering serial number and request code.
I opened Itunes and upgraded to latest version, did the same with iphone.
I then did a back up and a full restore on my iphone. I did this with my old att sim inside, with my new h20 sim, without a sim to no avail.
I am frustrated and about to give up on this unlocking! please help!
Steps were:
1- update
2- backup
3- restore to factory settings
4- backup restore (tried backup restore to "new" and to old backup with same results)
5- sit back and get frustrated, stay up till 4am and still got frustrated! at this time I was supposed to have seen the "congratulations your phone is unlocked' message but it never showed up.
How can i tell if this is working? I have tried iphoneadmin.com and it keeps showing that is locked!
Is anyone at att or apple working on this problem?

It can take several days after getting approval before the unlock is ready to be processed. If you just got the approval, give it a few days, then try the restore again.

Make sure there is a backup from yesterday.
First, make sure you have WiFi access.
Go to Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup
As long as iCloud backup is toggled "On'" you should see the date/time of the most recent backup.

How can I get a new PDF I save to default to the current PDF location in Acrobat XI

When I open a PDF, make edits, and then save, it defaults to the last folder where I saved a PDF. How can I make it default to the folder where I opened the current PDF I'm working on? Acrobat 11.0.0 in Win 7 64.

That's not what my question was about, it's about the default location which is screwed up, but I have figured out that the problem was fixed in an update and my enterprise version of Acrobat doesn't update (go figure, they are only getting paid to supply this to 30K+ employees!) I will mark this as done.

I am able to type in these locations now, but I am for some reason unable to save the document after I have typed in the text box.
How can I change the form so that I will be able to save the document after I have made changes?

I opened up Keychain in Utilities and double clicked on the link in question. It opened up as shown in the attached. I then tried to click on 'show password'
and the top box opened up. I tried entering my present iMac password but it wouldn't accept it. Any hints at this point?

I used to have an old LG flip-phone and an iPod Touch. I lost the iPod Touch about six months ago. This week I got my iPhone. I had to go to the Verizon store to have them take all the contacts off the LG phone and put them onto my iPod.
I had painstakingly pared down my iTunes music library to choice selection of checked items that were small enough to fit on the iPod touch. I didn't want to go through that process again, so I hooked my iPhone up to my computer for the first time, opened iTunes, and synced with the iPod touch backup on my computer. It would have been smart to have backed up the iPhone first, but I didn't. Since I couldn't text with the iPod Touch, it didn't occur to me that the existing texts on my iPhone would be overwritten.
Now all the media files and apps from my old iPod Touch are on my new iPhone 5. The new iPhone apps I downloaded yesterday are on there, too. But the contacts and texts have vanished.
To review: no iTunes backup of iPhone data. No iCloud backup, either-- I've never used iCloud before.
I downloaded Wondershare's iPhone Data Recovery program and used it to scan data on the device. The scan shows 0 contacts and only the 2 text messages that I've received this evening. Curiously, it does have my entire call history from the last week.
So is there any way to recover the texts from this last week?
This seems pretty hopeless but I thought I'd try. Thank for your help.

Is it posible to retrieve pictures that was deleted if I did not back-up on I-Cloud?

If you synced to your computer, then you may be able to restore from backup. You would lose any pics taken since the sync.
You should be importing all pics taken with iphone to your computer regularly as you would with any digital camera.
