How can I stop adverts with sound coming up?

When I go to certain web sites a video with sound comes up which is very awkward for my wife in the middle of the night. Can I suppress adverts like this?

We have rolled out a fix for this issue.
Please log off and log back in to your machine and the issue should be resolved automatically. In case that does not work, please manually run the msi installer posted here (may require reboot).

Go to Settings>iTunes and App Store and turn Of Show All. Then if necessary delete the songs from the iPod by swiping left and right and tap the Delete button that appears,

Sounds like your phone has the jitters.
This is sometimes caused when a DLL fle is missing when you restore, so the ipsw pacakge wasn't installed corectly.
You could back up and restore, but if it doesn't help go to http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/ and then download the same firmware your on.
Open up iTunes and hold Shift+Restore and select that firmware, you can't use anoy ther firmwares though.

Not sure what you mean by 'reset', but I would try a real reset by holding the power button and the home button until you see the apple then let go. This will reboot the phone and you will not lose any data.

When you quit firefox with tabs and windows open it "remembers". When you start Firefox it tries to restore the tabs and windows you had open.

Yes, I went to settings and turned wifi off. Thought at first I wasnt letting it set for a sec or two before shutting the iPad off. so now I wait like a minute or two before shutting the iPad down. didnt seem to help. Yes there have been a number of reports posted about this, it seems different people experience different results here with some finding the same as you, some finding that it won't work at all with the TV turned off and some finding that if music is sent from iTunes on the mac/pc that as long as the TV is on when the stream starts, the TV can be turned off afterwards.
My assumption here is that it depends on the TV itself, although that probably doesn't help all that much.

How can I stop Firefox from asking me over and over (even on pages with no flash content) to install Flash? I don't want Flash installed and this stupid pop-up.

So even when I load up websites (like ones we here at my job have created) with very simple HTML and absolutely nothing Flash related, I still get a pop-up asking me to install flash (pops down from the URL bar at left.) How can I stop this without disabling all plug-in updates?
Moreover, why in the name of all that's good is it asking me about Flash when I have no pages open with anything remotely Flash like on them?

I do not see why this should happen because of Firefox. Maybe you have some sort of adware on your system.

Try Firefoxin safe mode to rule out your standard extensions. if that does not solve the problem then scan for malware with multiple and up-to-date tools.

It's not a good idea to allow websites to redirect to another site until you know for sure the original site is trustworthy.
But if you still want to do it (again not a good idea).
Tools>Options>Advanced>General - In Accessibility, uncheck "warn me when web sites try to redirect..." option.

You can share the same Apple ID in
Settings > iTunes & App Store > Apple ID: here
But for all other Apple services like:
FaceTime, iMessage, iCloud, etc, one of you should use a different Apple ID.

It is also possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
Delete the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

If you see files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js then delete those as well.<br />
