How can I stop alerts when starting iPhoto?

It's so annoying - I realize that at some point I moved or renamed some photos in my library because I find iPhoto very controlling in terms of making it difficult for me to find things easily or separate photos into the folders I create.
however is there not a setting to prevent iPhoto from trying to sort of calibrate files - I get about 200 alerts everytime I start up the program.
Any suggestions or references much appreciated.

1 - iPhoto is a database program as as such the organization and integrity of its data base is critical to its proper operation
I moved or renamed some photos in my library
2 - It is strongly recommended that you do not move, change, delete or otherwise modify any files within the iPhoto library - doing so may corrupt your library and lose data

iPhoto does not do any "calibration" of files - at start up or ever
I get about 200 alerts everytime I start up the program.
Exactly what are the alerts you are getting? THere probably is a solution but we would have to know what they are to help

Managing your iPhoto library
The best and safest way to manage your photos in iPhoto is by working with your photo library from within the iPhoto application.
WARNING: iPhoto stores your photo library within the iPhoto Library package in your Pictures folder. To avoid permanently deleting or corrupting your iPhoto library, do not attempt to alter the contents of this file.
It is a good idea, however, to routinely back up your iPhoto library to a DVD or external hard disk so you have a copy in case your photos become lost or corrupted for any reason.
