How can i stop Apple ID Expiring emails

I am continuosly getting emails, asking me to update my Apple ID or my ID will expire in 48 hrs. They ask that I am to click on a link to Apple support.  The emails look real, as though they were sent by Apple, but they originate in other countries, such as this morning I have two from Apple -Ireland and earlier I have received some in french. But there are emails just about daily and I will get 2 or 3 at a time and this has been going on for months.
At first I was a little concerned about these emails, but thought they had to be a scam of some sort. But I checked, the Apple support forums and found out others have been getting the same emails, and were noted as being a scam. Also I have been forwarding them to Apple Report Phishing, but I am not sure what Apple is doing about these websites. But how do I stop them from entering my inbox?  I mark them spam and junk, but they keep coming.

I'm afraid that's not possible. The Outbox is just temporary. It only exist s when there are unfinished outbound messages.

  • How can I stop Firefox autofilling my email address when I log onto hotmail?

How do I stop Firefox autofilling my email address when I log onto hotmail?

Thanks Lawrence. I've spent over 3 hours on the phone/chatting to online support and none of it seemed to help as it all revolved around resetting emails etc but can't do any of it without my access to my old email. Now my phone won't take cloud because they advised to set up new apple ID and use that, but can't sign out of old one completely. Also doesn't help because my phone and laptop are set up on the old one. Thanks for the help.

  • How do I stop apple support community emails?

A month ago I started a discussion about iCal and selected email preferences that were to liberal - I began receiving all email posts in reference to iCal. I reset all of the email notification preferences to "no" in my Apple Support Community profile a few weeks ago, and created a rule in Mail that routed all support community email to trash. However, when I use my web-based email, I see that I am still receiving over 20 emails a day from Apple Support Communities. How do I stop these emails?

    Hi nykayak,
You can remove email subscriptions by following the instructions that J D and Barry provided.
I did take a look at your account though and I was able to remove the subscriptions.

  • How can I stop apple mail from autosaving drafts?

    Hello all,
I have finally got myself a new computer and been immersed in the "new" way- my old mac was a bit like a volkswagen beetle, old and cranky but very efficient.
This new interlaced madness is proving to be very confusing on many levels but here I will state one problem I am seeking a solution to:
Apple mail autosaves  a copy of my email reply drafts every 30 seconds in my apple mail draft folder. - This means many copies are saved!!!
    How do I stop this?
The reason I ask this is for the following reasons:
1- If I don't send my reply after 30 seconds I have to manually delete the drafts.- I didn't know this until I was doing a little organising and have realised that I have quite a few drafts of the same message lying around in my google on mac (imap) "all mail" folder and these end up taking alot of space.
2- These then get transfered to my google mail "all mail" folder and end up taking up more space.
3- Manually deleting things from my google on mac "all mail" account is a pain in the *** because I need to delete it into the googletrash on mac and not any other deleting area. (unless I do it directly from gmail) I didn't know this until I had a read through google- the "all mail" archive is another pain in the ***.
I was deleting these messages from my mac "all mail" mailbox and they just magically reappeared into the same "all mail" mailbox, meaning they are downloaded from the server continually- I hate to think how much more that adds to data roaming.
Possible solutions I have tried out:
1- uncheck the "save draft on server" box in mail;preferences;mailbox behaviour (and saving it) - I did this and tried to write a message and there it appeared as each 30 seconds passed
2- change the mac mailbox behaviour settings to gmail Imap settings for apple mail and save these- as above, I wrote a message and it still appeared in my drafts folder, new, message appearing every 30 seconds.
3- uncheck the "use idle command if server suppors it"  box in mail;preferences; accounts;advanced (as someone mentions in another forum) and the message still autosaves.
    HELP!
    1. This seems to be common with most people
    2. I am using gmail and IMAP on mac book pro 2012 10.7.4, lion
    3. This never happened with my volkswagen which was also a mac but from 2006
    4. Some people say this is Imap related. I have only noticed it with this apple mail and have read it has been happening to people since 2008.
    5. Look forward to new solutions

I'm having a similar but slightly different problem. My company just migrated to Gmail, and it's saving mail drafts every 30 seconds into my Trash folder.
I unchecked the "Show in IMAP" preference in the Gmail settings, but my Drafts folder completely disappeared. I went back and checked it and the folder reappeared (with my drafts still in there).
I like the idea if starting an email on my laptop and having the option of finishing it on my iPhone or iPad, so only saving Drafts locally would not be ideal.

  • How can I stop iPad setting up email account automatically

My email is my domain on Google apps.
When I add it as an imap account, iOS tries to set up automatically and somewhere is finding a really old mail server name from about five years ago before we switched to google apps.
So when it tries to send it is attempting to use this old server putting [email protected]@oldserver.com.
I can't stop it, and it is not listed in the smtp server list in settings, so I can't delete it.
Deeply frustrating as I can't send mail from my iPad.  Can anyone help?

    Try reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
Note: Data will not be affected.

  • How can you stop Apple from forcing an update of PAGES?

Every time I turn around I'm getting this notification on my screen to update PAGES to the downscaled version 5.  It annoyingly won't leave the screen even though anyone with good sense that has seen the reviews, knows you don't want version 5.
How do you stop the perpetual notifications that demand we permit Apple shove this version 5 down our throats?
I do not want version 5.
I do not want to lose the vertical ruler
I do not want to lose the inspector block
I do not want to downscale my word-processing to fit on a phone (this is a business not a playground)
I do not want to lose the variable line spacing capabilities of the better version 4
    and the list goes on....
How do you stop the perpetual annoyance of it wanting updates?

System Preferences > App Store > uncheck Automatically check for updates. You may have to reboot for these changes to take effect.
If you update to IOS 7 on an iDevice, Pages for IOS will update to v2.2.1 — which is the OS X Pages v5 document architecture. Same drill for Pages for iCloud beta. Both of these would require sharing MS Word documents with your OS X Pages ’09 solution for document compatibility.

  • HT201320 how can i stop automatic configuration of email accounts on my ipad...the ports are not correct and i cannot access my email

i cannot get my "frontier" email account set up on my ipad so that i cannot either or receive email.  Frontier says that the "automatic" verifying tool puts the wrong ports in and that is why i cannot get or send emails from the ipad.  We know we have the correct name and password in but when in comes to verifying, an error message comes up and says "the wrong user name or password has been entered".
How do i disable the automatic set up of email so i can be assured the correct ports are enabled?

    -Tap "Settings" app,
-Select "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" option on the left hand side,
-On the right, under "Accounts" on top, tap "Add Account...",
-Select one of the email service providers or "Other",
-Under "Mail", tap "Add Mail Account",
-A window pops up and enter your new email account details.
    -Repeat for new email accounts.

  • How can I stop Apple Mail from scrolling to top as image loads?

Hi, I receive a daily email that includes dozens of inline images (it's the TechCrunch daily email, FYI). When I open it in Apple Mail, every time an image loads, the scroll bar jumps back to the top of the email. This effectively makes it impossible to read any of the email until after all the images load, since as I start to read it from the top, a moment later (as the next image down further in the email loads), it jumps me right back to the very top of the email. The only way I can read the email is to open it in Apple Mail and then sit there for a moment until all the images load. (I can't even switch to another window or put that email window in the background-- Apple Mail apparently is smart enough to not load images when the window isn't front-and-center.)
Needless to say, this is a super-annoying issue I haven't ever seen this in any other email program and I think it definitely counts as a bug (or at the very least, a supreme, supreme annoyance).
Anyone else seeing this, and/or have a solution?
    Thanks--
    Eric

This is happening to me too, and I have had enough of it! I never got around to complaining about it, and I suspect many others are the same way. However, I think it is fair to call it a 'bug' and that apple should make a statement or fix about it

  • How can I stop receiving support community emails?

I submitted a question to the MacBook Pro community today. Since then I receive an email every few minutes from that group, not for my question--for any post  it seems anyone makes to any MacBook Pro thread. I am not following/subscribing to that or any group. I went to preferences and set all my email preferences to No. Nothing seems to make any difference.

  • How can i stop the same 800 emails from coming back? Each time a new one comes in, the same 800 re appear, I've deleted them so many times already.

Every time I get a new email, I get about 800+older ones with it. I delete them, get a new email and the same 800 keep coming back. Ran a MAC Boost which said i had 76 issues-37 being malwares but it didn't fix the email problem. Help?

    Howdy Robert
I'll tell ys where MacBoost was found (I blew right by it since all it did was "report" according to the OP) = softonic, cnet, etc. - or its creator
    www.toolwiz.com/en/products/toolwiz-mac-boost/
"Toolwiz Mac Boost. Most effective boost solutions & Extreme easy to use. One click to clean up your entire Mac. Empty all of trashes on your Mac"
The deluge of the 800 must not be a big problem as OP posted and hasn't returned

  • I have verified my new email address as my Apple ID but my IOS devices keep asking me to sign in to my previous email/Apple ID but have no access to it.  How can I stop or change this?

I have verified my new email address as my Apple ID but my IOS devices keep asking me to sign in to my previous email/Apple ID but have no access to it.  How can I stop or change this?

To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iDevice, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use.  When you do this you may find that the password for your old ID isn't accepted.  If this should happen, and if your old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, you need to temporarily recreate your old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll.  When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.
