I tried already to logon to "Apple Support Communities" https://discussions.apple.com/index.jspa/user-notification-preferences!input.jsp a , select "Email Notification Preferences" and put every preferences to "no", saved it but it does not help. I'm still getting flooded with e-mails.
Can anyone please help. I'm drowning!
Thank you very much in advance.

  • How can I change my email address on Apple Support Communities?

Currently, I receive emails from Apple Support Communities on my Hotmail account, which is also my Apple ID.
I have now created a similar alias @icloud.com and I would like to send all the mail from Apple Support Communities to my new iCloud email.
    I

I guess it would help. All I really need is for my all emails from Apple Support Communities to go to my account @icloud.com. But Apple ID does not allow to use emails created on Apple-owned domains. So I technically must have at least 2 email accounts, which isn't really convenient.

  • How do i stop emails to me from Apple support community?

I am being inundated with answers; probably over 2000.

Go to Apple Support Communities, and look on the right side of this web site for an area entitled "Actions".  You should see an option to "Stop email notifications"
There are at least 4 levels of notification here.
    1) You can be notified for every post added to a thread you create.
    2) You can be notified for every thread you participant in (added a post to)
    3) You can be notified for all posts to a specific thread (even if you didn't post to that thread)
    4) You can be notified for all posts to a specific community (this is the killer, easily hundreds of emails per day depending on the community.)
Also, when logged into Support Communities, click on your "user name" at the top of the screen (right before the sign out option).    On the right side, under actions, select "manage email notifications".   Again, on the far right, you can select or deselect "threads" and remove notifications.

  • How can I stop the mail app from downloading old messages and marking them as new.... repetedly

I have just bought myself my first ever mac, and i've been having a little trouble with the mail function that comes with it. The first time i connected my mail app to my hotmail adress, all my old mails started coming in and they were all marked as unread. i had like 7000 og them, so it took a while for them all to load. after this i marked them all as read, and it was fine for a couple of days.
I am not sure what makes all my e-mails load as "new" again and again, but it happens every so often. This is very annoying because i get a little notification at the top of my screen for every "new" e-mail.
In the beginning i didn't think that much of it, but now it is really starting to annoy me, bacause it has happened so many times, so my question is:
Have any of you experienced this? And how did you fix it?
And i am running the OS X version 10.8.2, if that is relevant

Is it an IMAP or POP account?
For POP accounts, you can select remove from server under the advanced tab of the account.

  • Flooded with e-mail from Apple Support Communities

Even though I have set all my Email Notification Preferences to No, I am getting several hundred messages every day from "Apple Support Communities Updates" with a subject of "[Using iPad] - ..." This has been happening for over a week. How can I stop that?
I was 38 minutes into a chat session with Apple Support one week ago today, but it ended unexpectedly "due to a temporary system issue." I tried today to get back into chat but can't find it anywhere. It's as if chat support disappeared in the last week. That's why I am posting this message to the forum. I am obviously desperate to stop this unsolicited flood of e-mail messages.

It doesn't look like you can. But that's how you tell they are a hyperlink. Is this a problem?

You either remove your Yahoo email address from the device or you turn of the 'Mail' option for that account under Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.

How can I transfer e-mail contacts from one IPad to another?

Depends on how big the file is.  If itis only a couple of pages, or mostly text, the easiest way would be to e mail it.  If it is a very large file you are going to need wifi.  Take both pads to starbucks, and e mail it from there.  Or if you have wifi, use drop box, for example.
Your other choice, avoiding wifi would be a bluetooth type transfer.  There is an app call bluetooth file lite that reads like it will do what you need.   The good news is it is free.  The bad news is that it has terrible ratings.  For grins, i am installing it now on a pad and a phone, and will see if it works.
With a bluetooth method, you need both devices in  the same place.  If you are trying to send your file across country, bluetooth will not work for you.  you need e mail or drop box type solution, and if the file is big, you will almost certainly need wifi.

  • How can I stop music and movies from being automatically deleted from my phone and saved on the cloud? I've just tried to watch a movie on my 2 hour commute, but yet AGAIN it has been removed. I do NOT want to spank all of my data allowance

How can I stop music and movies from being automatically deleted from my phone and saved on the cloud? I've just tried to watch a movie on my 2 hour commute, but yet AGAIN it has been removed. I do NOT want to spank all of my data allowance downloading it again, especially because (believe it or not) I added it to my phone because that's precisely where I wanted it!! Any help much appreciated

FYI I had to put this link into firefox to reply - because **** back safari just wouldn't register my clicks to any of the links on the post... Despite reloadeing and even restarting my computer. Totally annoying and a massive pain in the ***.
But in terms of my initial query; thanks for responding. But no, this is NOT the cause of the problem. I have auto sync and sync over wifi activated, but have also selected manually manage music and videos. Plus, all of my music and videos are on my macbook, absolutely all of it, so if it my phone was syncing with my macbook everything would still be on the phone. Life would be peachy if my phone jsut copied everything that was on my macbook, but unfortuantely it keeps deleting tracks for no apparent reason.
Any thoughts greatly welcomed, because at the moment i can only conclude that my iphone is crap.

  • TS3992 on iPad: How can I delete my Mail storage from my iCloud backup?

on iPad: How can I delete my Mail storage from my iCloud backup?

Did anyone ever provide a resolution, because I am having the same problem.
My iCloud backup said yesterday that over 500 MB was being used by the Mail portion of the backup. So I went into iCloud.com, deleted all of the mail in my Sent Mail folder, then emptied the trash entirely. When I did that, it got worse; it said that 1.2 GB of the iCloud backup was taken up by the Mail backup. That doesn't make any sense. That is actually the opposite of what was supposed to happen.
Today, it is back to saying that Mail takes up 609.4 MB of space in the backup, but there is next-to-nothing in any of my iCloud email folders. What is going on?
Any suggestions you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

How can I stop my iphone 4s from asking for my icloud, yahoo and other passwords all the time?

As long as you share that AppleID for iCloud, you cannot.  You are sharing a a single iCloud account and sync services.  The only thing you can do is get a second AppleID and use it with iCloud - you do not have to use that new AppleID for anything but iCloud (ie. you can still share an AppleID for iTunes and App store purchases).
P.S. I am assuming you both want to sync your contacts with iCloud?

  • I have a MacBook Pro how can I stop spam mail

How can I stop unwanted mail, i.e. Bulk mail and spam ?

You can't, other than by changing to a new email address and then never giving that out to anyone other and very trusted friends and families. All you can do is try to filter such messages. Mail in Mac OS X has a Junk Mail filter, as may your email provider, or you can use a third-party filter. I use SpamSieve and have found it well worth the cost. For identifiable senders, you can also set a Rule in Mail to mark junk messages as Read and move them automatically to the mail trash.
