How can i stop iOS6 from killing my iPhone 4s battery?

i have ttried resetting all seetings to default, i have nothing running in background, have stopped all cellular activity except phone, and still my phone depletes at the rate of 30%/hour. lasted 1.5 days without a charge before the iOS 6 'upgrade'
I have also upgraded my iPad2 to iOS6 with absolutely no detriment. what gives?
I'm ready to reactivate my android phone. HELP APPLE!

I'm trying again and it just finished syncing fine and my iPhone 5 is still connected to iTuns physcially with USB lightening cable and is displaying the iPhone icon top right. I clicked on it and iTunes is now "hung' or locked up. Shows to be an active running application but can't get back to it so willl have to kill with task manager. There is some kind of problem going on with the latest version of iTunes and Wndows 7 and 8.1 or something. My iPhone 5 now has a new feature that it is now asking me if I "Trust" this computer. iTunes just came "unhung" after several minutes while I was typing this. Now I am going to start the backup to this computer HP Winsows 8.1 and iTune 11.1.4.62 and see what happens. Says it is Backing up Jerrys iPhone but the Barber Pole progress bar is not turning an iTunes is hung again and I cant get back to it from this page I am typing on. Maybe it will eventually release as it did a moment ago.

How can I stop iTunes from downloading my iPhone contents?

Whenever I sync my iPhone, iTunes decides it needs to download everything that's on my iPhone. How can I turn this off? Luckily it is only music, not apps, but it's still annoying. I have things like "sync only checked items" checked, and I don't have it automatically sync anything at all except podcasts. It's just that whenever I download one of my albums from iTunes on my iPhone, it decides it needs it on the computer as well. However, there is no reason for it to be on there, because I can just stream it from the cloud if I want to listen on my computer.
I wouldn't sync at all, but I have no other way of getting Podcasts that require a password than to use iTunes (non-protected Podcasts can be had with the Podcasts app--so handy!).

What happened to Apple wanting people to be able to use an iPhone without having a computer at all?
I don't mind keeping a backup on my external hard drive, but I don't want iTunes to manage that anyway. It always makes a mess of things. And I definitely don't want it offloading stuff onto my main hard drive. I just don't have the space on there for all the junk, which is why I have two external hard drives in the first place.

ITunes update 11.1.1.62 had difficulties with the updates on 64 bit Windows 7 and 8.1 causing an error on boot other trouble. I found solution on research that insturcted to Remove iTunes, Bonjour, Apple Support and Apple Update and reload iTunes old version. I simply reloaded the new version becasue did not have the old version of iTunes. I have been working fine with the old version. I know problem is a simple setting somewhere but it is NOT SIMPLE to me since I dont know where the find the simple setting.
Will someone tell what to do. I appreciate all you smart guys.

I had Opera set as my default browser since this began happening. I changed my default browser back to Firefox mainly because having Firefox open one or two seconds every time I open Opera was/is such a nuisance.
I believe this problem began because I attempted to manually transfer the files from my old computer to the new one (via the backed up files in my external drive). I was unfamiliar with Windows 7 when I did this. Microsoft changed the file set up from what I had been used to in Windows XP. I used XP for six years before being exposed to Windows 7 (I never had Vista).
I'm almost sure this problem has something to do with where I placed the application data when I was trying to reestablish the program set up on the new computer.

You can share the same Apple ID in
Settings > iTunes & App Store > Apple ID: here
But for all other Apple services like:
FaceTime, iMessage, iCloud, etc, one of you should use a different Apple ID.

If you ned more room for storage buy a bigger drive. In fact buy two, one to use as a backup for your library and all your other important files.

You do not need to move your cursor much when pressing the mouse button to cause the tab to tear-off/tear-away into a new tab. No "sensitivity" setting that I am aware of. The tab in the new window can be dragged back to the original window.

How can i stop iTunes from auto rating my songs in my library?? I have my library very organized and 90% of the time when i listen to music i play "My Top Rated" Playlist on shuffle. The only time i give stars ratings to my songs is for my favourite songs which i give 5 star and every other song is just left with no stars. For some reason iTunes is giving songs i have never played or i dont like 5 Stars and rewining my playlists. I have tried erasing all the stars from my entire library and since doing this a week ago, again (for the 4th time in a year) having a library with not 1 song with any star ratings, all of a sudden i now have 329 random songs with 5 stars again??????
This is really getting to me as i love my music and love iTunes and everything apple but seriously there has to be away to stop this so i can have my old playlists back!

One reason itunes will start "at regular intervals" will be if you have an iphone that has sync via wifi enabled. I had the problem following an upgrade to iOS 5.
