Mostly this is not too much of a problem. But recently, I have a batch of photos that really need to be in a particular order. I spent a lot of time on my PC naming them in such a way that they'd STAY in the order I desire. There are about 185 of them, so this took a lot of work! How can I keep them in the order I want when I sync to the iPad?

Hi again-
Just as a final follow-up on this topic, I have been able to change the "date taken" property of each photo file without downloading any extra software. In the Windows Explorer, all I have to do is select the file and then I can edit the date in the properties pane at the bottom of the window. Since I have to change each file to a unique date so that I can control their order on the iPad, I have to do this all by hand anyway, so I did not spend much time looking for a software to do it.
Just in case this might help someone else, I thought I'd post it.

Most of the time, my iPad does not maintain a connection to the interenet via my wifi router. My PC laptop has continuous connection, so I know it is not the internet connection.
Is there a way to trouble shoot this? Can I purchase a dedicated IP Address for my Ipad? This is beyond aggrevating since internet activity is the main reason I purchased the pad.

I would suggest that you give Apple Tech Support a call and go over your settings under WI-FI and General Settings as well as your router settings etc.. There are all sorts of things I could tell you to try but this forum is not the best place to go over all the numerous settings that could be the issue. Just call them and they will walk you through the proper trouble shooting steps.

If emails are being deleted, then it's not the Apple products, it's the POP account. When one device reads an email, it's removed from the server, so the other devices can't get that same email. That's a POP account.

Check your sync settings on the Music and other tabs. Personally I untick the box that says "Open iTunes when this iPod is connected" and under Edit > Preferences > Devices I tick the box that says "Prevent iPods, iPhones, and iPads from syncing automatically". Maybe it is a hardware problem, but you will not know that unless you start eliminating all possible software issues. Try this. Close all apps in the recents tray and reboot your iPad.

Everything that you have checked in your icloud settings will be shared between devices using the same Apple ID. If you don't want icloud to share that information, then simply turn off that process under settings > icloud
