Every morning the printer automatically prints various Dreamworks pictures, childrens bookmarks, samples of masks and origami and is wasting huge ammounts of ink. how do i stop this please. HP Photosmart 7520 connected to a mac

If you have previously setup some scheduled print deliveries, you will need to cancel these from where they were originally setup.
They were most likely setup through your e-Print centre login so you should be able to cancel them there. Here's a link to some infomation on Managing Scheduled Delivery Print Apps:

Go into Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars. Is this happening at the bottom in the signature section, or in the header of the mail where your email address is? If it is the signature, then go to the Signature area of the Mail settings. I have assigned the volume control on my Yamaha midi keyboard to a screen control in Mainstage to do a different function. But it simultaneous does my assigned job as well as controlling volumes of instruments in rewired Reason. How can I stop that from happening. I don't want any of my knobs to control Reason. I use touchOSC on my iPhone as a mixer. It also send all soughts of undesirable faders and knob massages through Mainstage to reason. I must point out that, I have disengaged keyboad control in reason preferences.
Every knob on any controller which is sending CC07 message to mainstage automatically controls instrument volume in Reason. Some other CC messages are also sent automatically. How can I stop that from happening?

If it's slow on startup it would be extensions loading or LaunchDaemons starting up.
You should have a look in:
/Library/LaunchDaemons
/Library/Extensions
You can count out anything in your home folder and it shouldn't put anything in /System as that's reserved for Apple.

How can I adjust my photosmart 8750 printer to properly frame print?

My photosmart 8750 printer (Win XP on network) does not give consistent results when printing. When printing a photo with white borders, it will give an even border around the photo and cannot be adjusted accordingly. does anyone have a solution to this issue?

This has been a major pain in the *** for me! I have trawled too many online discussions and forum threads on this only to find no real answers that work. I have a photosmart 7520. I want to print a black and white tekst-formular, but since there's no ink left in the photo cartridge I can't print any thing. Is it not possible to print only black and white stuff, whith this printer?

Hi Jeeeez,
I understand you have a Photosmart 7520 that you're wondering if you can print with when one of the colors is out. I will certainly do my best to address you question!
Unfortunately this printer requires all of the ink cartridges have something in them whether you are trying to use that particular cartridge or not. This is simply for the health of the printhead, because if it dries out then nothing will print at all, new ink or not. Once you have all of the inks with something in them inserted in the printer you can set it to print in Black Ink Only from the computer as well for future use.
If you'd like to know how to set the printer to print using Black Ink Only from the computer, please let me know which version of Mac or Windows that you're using and I will get back to you with instructions.

I am making a program that simulates how to manage transactions when accessing a database by using locks. I have run into a problem and I hope someone has the time to help me.
When a user does an update the transaction commits and releases its locks when the program executes

I need to put a break in to stop the program executing this statement, to illustrate the lock is set correctly.
I have tried to put in an alert box but this does not prevent the rest of the java code being executed.
I have tried to use prompt boxes, JavaScript functions, but these functions cannot have any java code in them.
I have tried using the java.swing JOptionPane boxes but this didn?t work either
I have tried to get input from the user but I don?t know how to retrieve this data on the same page. (As far as I know you have to use submit and even refresh the page or retrieve it on the next page).
Does anyone know how I can stop the execution on a JSP page and start it again (on same page)

I already have another client (Tomcat jsp application) running and it throws a SQLException correctly when I don�t put in a commit=true statement and don't close the database connection.
But the problem is how to get the code above to stop to illustrate I have set this lock.
I have tried to use the JOptionPane but because my program is running in a web browser I cannot use the JOptionPane dialog box.
I have tired using an alert box but it executes the commit statement before the alert box is dispayed. So this does not work

Thank you for the clear explanation of the duplicate detection and how adding Metadata affects duplicate detection. But I am still wondering if there isn't a more useful way to handle this. If I am setting a metadata template for the APD, I want all my images to contain that information. And that makes duplicate detection non-functional for me. How can I workaround that?
It seems the duplicate detection process should take the metadata template into consideration before determining if the image is duplicate. Of course that may be other undesired side effects, such as a performance hit, etc.
Also, I have seen behaviors that seems to not follow this logic and seem to indicate that the duplicate process might not be operating as I would expect.
1. If I rotate an image in the Organizer, and set the Rotate JPEGs Using Orientation Metadata is unchecked (to rotate the image on disk), the import process still recognizes the image as a duplicate. It would be nice for me if there was some documentation on what triggers an image to be non-duplicate.
2. If I select two images and in the information pane, click Edit IPTC information and add IPTC data, the APD import process still is able to determine the images are a duplicate. From my perspective, there is no difference in the data displayed if I add the IPTC data via the metadata template or Edit ITPC information cmd. Why does duplicate detection work in one case and not the other?
3. If all the images are duplicates, then APD displays ALL images on the media, but unselected. I guess it's saying no new images found, which do you want to import again.
