How can i stop reopening program files ?

When my Vectorworks 2011 stops (from a bug) and i want to restart it, Lion opens all the previous drawings !
The Imac can't restore all that amount of info and simply stops the program
I just want to start over again with an empty page ! IS IT THAT STRANGE ???
Please help me out.

restart from your applemenu.
You will get a window in wich you can restart or not.
Undo the marker for open windows again when logging in again.

Any application that is open when you shut down will re-open when you restart unless you deselect this when shutting down/restarting:
Also check System Preferences>Users & Groups>Login items tab and make sure there's nothing listed there that you don't want launched.

How can I stop "badges" on file imports?

When I import a photo using Lightroom a "badge" appears over the thumbnail in my Windows 7 folder.
The "badge" is a green rectangle with two right facing arrows that blocks seeing most of the thumbnail.
It appears that they are being produced by Lightroom.
How can I stop them from occurring? They are very anoying.
I also find a red rectangular "badge" with a large white check on many of my thumbnails that have been
in my computer for a while. What is the purpose of these....perhaps showing that the file has been backed up?

Well I am actually using a template. And the flash video that
was created is way beyond my ability. So I tried initially to
separate the two, the intro video, and the navigation. But they are
intertwined in a way that I do not understand. I do need to do the
variable thing. I took a flash class in school, and my book does
not touch anywhere close to this. I know its probably too
complicated to explain through a forum, but can you recommend any
resources online or books that would go more in depth with this
sort if thing. If I can just see the way it works on another site,
I know that I can do on mine.

How can I stop a program until a button will be clicked

I have a class that create a JTable and in this class I have two columns, the first culumns has the name of the variables an the second column has a checkbox to select the correponding variable.this JTable is created from a vector originating in other class. I need obtain a vector of integers with the number of the variable selected after the JButton will be clicked. For this i create a method called EspererSeleccion. This is the class

and this is the method that create the JTable but when i call the method EsperarSeleccion the program fail and the JTable is not visible only the frame that contains It.

First you have to get the reference of Class B in Class A.
It can be done in the following way.
In Class B ,you create a static method like this.

Teaching Myself Python. How Can I Stop The Program From Closing :)

I wrote a program today that will log into a router here at work and check if the line protocols are up and if i can see thir mac address. If i run it from the IDLE program it works fine. When i run it as just crosnet.py it runs fine but closes before i can see the output. I imagine there is some simple line that will have run and just sit? Or even better, loop back to the beginning and wait for me to give it a new number to then telnet with.

A question for the professionals:
What program on my MacBook Pro can I run to determine which programs and files are taking up the percentage of disc space? I am running at 72 gb, which is great, but I need to know what is using up the rest of it. Thank you in advance to any helpful solutions.

How can I stop embedded shockwave files from resizing in the exported file.

I have a problem with embedded shockwave files resizing when they are exported.
I have built a dashboard which needs a video to loop in the corner. When I embed this video as a swf file using the image component and linking to the swf in question there is no problem. I can export the entire as a swf in itself and the video plays in the corner fine.
However when I need several videos each appearing on different 'pages' within the dashboard the problem arises. I can set the various shockwave videos behaviour to appear and disappear depending on the page selected. But, instead of appearing in the size that I have set the embedded video to they have grown.
So instead of having a neat little video looping in the corner I have a huge video obliterating the rest of the dashboard.
any help would be gratefully heard.

How can I stop the swf file from repeating on different web pages

I have my entire website built and am using a flash
navigation bar that also has a movie presentation attached to it. I
uploaded it to every page in my site because it is required for
navigation. My problem is that the movie plays every time you
switch to a different page, I only want it to play once on the home
page, and then just have the flash navigation work on the rest of
them. I know that there is a way to use cookies to tell the
computers IP address that is viewing the site not to replay the
movie if it has already played within the specified time frame. But
I am not very good with actually inputting code into flash, I am
new to it. I have seen sample code on another website but I think
it was referring to the wrong flash version, and it did not specify
exactly where to put it in. Please help!

How can I stop the sales calls?

A little over a week ago, Verizon called me to ask me to upgrade my DSL to FiOS. I told them I'd review it and contact them if I wanted to proceed.
Saturday morning, they called me to ask me to upgrade my DSL to FiOS. I told them I wasn't interested.
Saturday afternoon, they called me to ask me to upgrade my DSL to FiOS. I told them again I wasn't interested.
Saturday afternoon, they called me AGAIN (yes, 3 sales calls in one day) to ask me to upgrade my DSL to FiOS. I told them AGAIN I wasn't interested, and that they'd called me three times that day.
I emailed a complaint, got a non-response with an invalid link asking for more information.
This morning, they called me yet again asking me to upgrade my DSL to FiOS. The sales rep said he could not connect me to customer service, and I kind of went off on him.
At this point, the only thing I can think of is to see if I can get my phone and DSL services thorugh another company, Verizon seems to have been bought out by a consortium of Nigerian bankers.

in the Project Properties (command-j), you can tell iM how to handle the initial photo placement method on import. out-of-the-box, iM is set to Ken Burns, but 'fit' should be your setting.

iMovie doesn't allow a clip-length of 1-frame, which is needed for smooth action for stop-motion.
specialized tools as Boinx' iStopMotion (AppStore, 40$) or the free FrameByFrame do perhaps a (much) better job

I had Opera set as my default browser since this began happening. I changed my default browser back to Firefox mainly because having Firefox open one or two seconds every time I open Opera was/is such a nuisance.
I believe this problem began because I attempted to manually transfer the files from my old computer to the new one (via the backed up files in my external drive). I was unfamiliar with Windows 7 when I did this. Microsoft changed the file set up from what I had been used to in Windows XP. I used XP for six years before being exposed to Windows 7 (I never had Vista).
I'm almost sure this problem has something to do with where I placed the application data when I was trying to reestablish the program set up on the new computer.

It sounds like if you open Preferences in Word there will be a place where you can specify where to store autorecover files. Right now it sounds like it's pointing to somewhere that doesn't exist.

Hopefully this will help you. Try placing your iPad in recovery mode again. You may have to try this a few times.
