When viewing a NetFlix movie, during night sceans, the screen goes dark.

You don't.
Usually only the free apps do this, paid versions do away with the ads.

Does this issue occur with any file that you try to send, or do you find that it's specific to one file? If it's a file-specific error, and the file is large, please try sending the file via Adobe SendNow. (You can sign in to Adobe SendNow at Sign in or create an account | Adobe SendNow using the same credentials you use to sign in to Adobe Send.)

Hi Diavonex. Yes I was aware of this option.
Subsequently I have done a litle research and downloaded a music app called "Track 8" which has a much clearer interface (larger type) and the abillity to change the background colour to dark or light.
This is much more readable in the car in bright light, and much better at night too.
You can also turn off auto-lock within the application, which is great, as it doesn't affect other apps.
Although this app is really only an interface sitting on top of the music app, it offers a much better experience
in my opinion that the stock player which seems to have devolved rather than evolved.

Flip the Ring/Silent switch. Make sure Vibrate when silent is off in Settings>Sound.

To William Lloyds recommendation I have to add the following: I tried to implement the suggestion and thus to have the Mobileme-account closed to avoid the lenghty process mentioned, however, I am given to understand that if one choose to have the account closed, ALL of the galleries/albums etc, so far hosted within Mobileme will ALSO be deleted within APERTURE!! My Droid Charge Screen always goes dark when listening to voice mail. if i want to delete or end the call, or go to speaker phone I can't do so by using the touch screen. It also goes black when I am on a call and if I want to activate or deactivate speaker phone I can't. sometimes I lose calls because of this. any way to keep the screen illuminated while on calls or voice mails?

MIDI region - how do I stop it going blank when I hit record!?!?

In Logic 7.2 how can I set it so that when i'm in MIDI region edit view (where i can see the midi notes i've played in) - hitting the record button DOESN'T change the view to a new BLANK region. This is really annoying!!
I might have a beat i've programmed in, and I perhaps want to add in a missed hi-hat sound - and it really helps to SEE the point at which i need to play it!

To be honest, I would rather that Logic doesn't do this. I'd rather keep each take as a separate object and keep merging under my control. I usually create a new track for the same instrument and record new info there. From there, I comp my changes (or I may leave it alone if it's MIDI data and I'm not going to print a score).

Primary screen goes dark when external display is added

Earlier, when I was on Mac Lion, I always used to face problems whenever an external Monitor was added to the Mac through the firewire to VGA converter port.
Hoping that Mavericks update would give me a respite from the issue, I upgraded my Mac Pro and to my utter shock, the issue has got magnified in mavericks. The primary screen goes completely dark whenever I add the external monitor.
Any idea how to overcome this issue ?

When i am playing a game, and i go to post something, the screen will go dark and i am unable to do anything but reload the game..would this be related to my flash player because it does not seem to happen to any of the other players..is there something i can adjust?
