How can I stop the execution on a JSP page and start it again

I am making a program that simulates how to manage transactions when accessing a database by using locks. I have run into a problem and I hope someone has the time to help me.
When a user does an update the transaction commits and releases its locks when the program executes
<%stmt.executeUpdate("commit!"); %>
I need to put a break in to stop the program executing this statement, to illustrate the lock is set correctly.
I have tried to put in an alert box but this does not prevent the rest of the java code being executed.
I have tried to use prompt boxes, JavaScript functions, but these functions cannot have any java code in them.
I have tried using the java.swing JOptionPane boxes but this didn?t work either
I have tried to get input from the user but I don?t know how to retrieve this data on the same page. (As far as I know you have to use submit and even refresh the page or retrieve it on the next page).
Does anyone know how I can stop the execution on a JSP page and start it again (on same page)

I already have another client (Tomcat jsp application) running and it throws a SQLException correctly when I don�t put in a commit=true statement and don't close the database connection.
But the problem is how to get the code above to stop to illustrate I have set this lock.
I have tried to use the JOptionPane but because my program is running in a web browser I cannot use the JOptionPane dialog box.
I have tired using an alert box but it executes the commit statement before the alert box is dispayed. So this does not work

that.....Most definitely -- check out the java.text.DateFormat object and its cohort java.text.SimpleDateFormat.
For example, if you wanted to display the current date in MM/DD/YYYY format, you could do the following:

How can I delete the catalog in PSE 3.0 and start over?

I'm running PSE 3.0 on Windows XP Home Edition. I'd like to delete the catalog and start over. The database seems to have become corrupted and I'd like to start over.

1. To delete the catalog, go to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Adobe\Catalogs. Application data is a hidden folder which requires that you enable the setting in Windows that displays hidden files. For this, in Windows Explorer, go to Tools>folder options>View tab>check "show hidden files & folders">apply.
2.To make a new catalog, go to Files>Catalog>new.

I create one .bat file which which execute the simple java program
I write one java program which execute above .bat file using instance of Runtime Class of java
It's work fine if java program which is executed by .bat file is simple(Which has normal termination)
But if that program contain inifinte loop then that file will goes on executing untill I close it manually
So i want a solution in java which close that bat file (command window ) which is in running condtion
If there any solution please replay me
I try to close that .bat file using destroy() ,stop() method of Process and Runtime , Thread Class
but it did not give me correct output
.bat file still running !!!!!!!!!

Why not use javaw.exe to make the app run so you don't need the dos window (which is presumably what you are actually talking about when you say bat file).

How can it be the Mobile Hotspot feature worked, failed, and then worked again?

I am having a love hate relationship with my Galaxy S3. The latest experience happened when I arrived at the beach expecting to connect to the Internet through a mobile hotspot established on my Galaxy S III; but that was not to be. When I turned on my Macbook it could not find the mobile hotspot named Cavanaugh established a half hour earlier with help from a Verizon Wireless Sales Consultant, and all devices were allowed to connect. What could cause this inconsistency!
I went home and as I customarily do I plugged my cell phone into its charger. The battery had 44% capacity left, I like to recharge to 100% at the end-of-day, so I recharged the cell phone to 100%. Guess what? With the cell phone battery fully charged the mobile hot appeared on my notebook, and I connected the notebook to the Internet through the cell phone.
Has anyone else had a similar experience? How much battery juice is needed to run mobile hotspot?

While I am unsure how much battery is "needed" to run the hotspot, the battery WILL drain faster when the hotspot is active. Quite possibly, the phone will deactivate the hotspot when the battery falls below a certain level.
This is the reason I ONLY have my hotspot turned on when I want to use it. I don't see a reason to have it active when not using it, along with the "possibility" of someone hijacking my signal in order to use my data stream without having to pay for it.

Delete the storage\moz-safe-about+home folder in the Firefox profile folder with Firefox closed to remove snippets stored in IndexedDB and make Firefox use a default set.
You can use this button to go to the currently used Firefox profile folder:

A little over a week ago, Verizon called me to ask me to upgrade my DSL to FiOS. I told them I'd review it and contact them if I wanted to proceed.
Saturday morning, they called me to ask me to upgrade my DSL to FiOS. I told them I wasn't interested.
Saturday afternoon, they called me to ask me to upgrade my DSL to FiOS. I told them again I wasn't interested.
Saturday afternoon, they called me AGAIN (yes, 3 sales calls in one day) to ask me to upgrade my DSL to FiOS. I told them AGAIN I wasn't interested, and that they'd called me three times that day.
I emailed a complaint, got a non-response with an invalid link asking for more information.
This morning, they called me yet again asking me to upgrade my DSL to FiOS. The sales rep said he could not connect me to customer service, and I kind of went off on him.
At this point, the only thing I can think of is to see if I can get my phone and DSL services thorugh another company, Verizon seems to have been bought out by a consortium of Nigerian bankers.

An icloud account is designed to be used by one user to keep his/her devices in sync.
If you have muitiple family members or friends using the same account as yours, then have them get their own Apple IDs and icloud accounts.
If you mean you want to stop the sharing between all your devices, then on any one device, go to Settings>icloud and turn off the services you don't want that device to share/sync. Or turn off icloud altogether if that's what you want.

This should always be set to zero unless a specific set of circumstances exist and you're audio drivers do not report position correctly.
On occasion, usually when importing a Logic 9 project, Logic-X randomly changes this to a negative/positive number. It's actually a bug in Logic, as it should always display the waveform.

Make a matte in Photoshop.
From the Photoshop menu bar: File > New > Film & Video Presets. Choose one that suits your FCP project pixel dimensions. Make the background black. Place a white rectangle with rounded corners on top (the white will determine how much of your picture is visible). Flatten Image. Save as TIFF. Import into FCP.
Move your video clips up to V2. Place the imported TIFF on V1. Highlight all clips on V2.
Go to Modify > Composite Mode > Travel Matte Luma. Done.
If you want soft edges, no need for a matte. Double click your clip to place it in the Viewer. Open up the Motion tab > Crop > Edge Feather. Nice and quick. Copy and Paste attributes for the other clips.
