It's worth emphasizing that despite Apple's confusing advertising, iCloud has nothing to do with iTunes purchases. Items you have purchased from iTunes can be downloaded again to other devices; and iTunes Match enables you (at a charge) to upload music you didn't purchase from the Store. An iCloud account is not required for all this; iCloud does not provide general file storage but is intended for syncing data between your devices.

You can't save your iTunes films and/or TV programmes in the cloud, whether they will show in the cloud for redownloading in the Purchased tab in the iTunes app depends upon what country that you are in (they can't be redownloaded in all countries) and whether they remain in your country's store (rights-holders occasionally remove their items).
You can copy your iTunes downloads to your computer's iTunes library via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases so that you can take a backup copy of them, and not have to rely on being able to redownload them from the store. -

To store Office files on iCloud, you need Numbers, Keynote or Pages, depending of the files you want to upload (Word, PowerPoint or Excel).
First, if you haven't done it, open App Store and purchase Keynote, Numbers and/or Pages. Then, if you have OS X Mountain Lion, when you open the app, you will see an iCloud window where you can drag your Office documents to be uploaded to iCloud.
If you don't have OS X Mountain Lion, open http://www.icloud.com, login with your Apple ID, select iWork and drag your Office documents -

Easy to do. First, tell iTunes where to store the movies on your computer by going to iTunes/preferences. In that wiindow, click the advanced tab and under iTunes media folder loaction, browse to the external drive where you want the movies stored. You can create a folder or iTunes will make one for you called Itunes.
I have keep iTunes media folder checked as well as copy files to iTunes media folder checked. This will copy all purchase to the drive and organize movies and TV shows into their own folders by show and season #.
Then sync your iPad and in iTunes on your computer, click File/Transfer purchases and iTunes will do t he rest. -

Quick answer if you use iTunes' default preferences settings: Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its subfolders and files) intact to the other drive. Open iTunes and immediately hold down the Option (alt) key (shift on Windows), then guide it to the new location of the library.
Just movies can be done with more effort and routine upkeep on your part. There's various solutions depending upon how organized you are and details on the results you desire. -

You would only need extra iCloud space if you need the space for large backups, or backups of multiple iOS devices, or if you save lots of iCloud email with large attachments, or store lots of iWork documents, etc.
You can store your photos using a different cloud service such as Dropbox, or any of the numerous photo hosting services such as Flikr, Picassa, Smugmug, etc. Music purchased from sources other than the iTunes store has to be kept in your iTunes library on your computer if you want to be able to access it on your iOS devices. -

Well Apple wants to provide this, but Hollywood is VERY protective over there content and does not want the same thing happening to them as did the music industry.
The nano doesn't support video only the 5G iPod.
Apple announced a Prototype device code named iTV thats basicly like a set top box and streams your purchased content like video over to your TV wirelessly. THey PLAN on having it out the first part of 2007 unless they hit some glitch -

i would like to take my photos off my iPad air and store them in iCloud. is there a way to do that similar to drop box. Also, if i choose iCloud will i be able to format my pictures in folders like i can do with iPhoto?
On Monday there will be when iOS 8.1 is released then ... with iCloud Photo Library. But it is still in beta, so I would still do an alternate backup until it's out of beta.

If you can get your rental to download by going to Store > Check for Available Downloads, then report the issue to the iTunes Store.

Yes, you can add your own videos to iTunes, then sync them to your nano, subject to supported max resolution limit and file type. The specs for the 7th gen nano says (I don't know which nano model you have), Video Format Support

(earlier nanos have lower max resolution limits)
So, "HD" video is too high resolution, so iTunes will not sync such videos to the iPod (although they play in iTunes). If you are asking how to set up iTunes to sync videos in general (regardless of source), please post back. -

If there is an issue with the purchase then report the issue of your purchase to the iTunes Store. For future reference also make sure that the default for purchases are for HD and by default they should be in HD.

I rented a few movies and downloaded them to my computer. Before they had been viewed, I updated my iTunes software and the movies were no longer in my library. How can I access the movies as I have already paid for them?

You should certainly be able to add content by reference to itunes from such a disk (even before the update) - so long as itunes knows the location of the file (set Preferences not to copy to local library when adding the media) it will stream it to AppleTV if the disk is available.
I hope you're right, but I'd be surprised if current Extremes can be upgarded to provide a full Home Sharing service - marvellous if they can but I'd be surprised as i've long said we need an Apple media server either based on TC or AE to do this kind of thing.

I can uncheck tv shows and when I sync music or app purchase the tv shows do not sync unless they are marked us unwatched. I have put digital copies of some blu-rays into itunes and I cannot get them to be in itunes without syncing when sync new purchases. How can I keep the movies in itunes for storage but keep them from going to the device and taking up memory when I am not needing them?
Just untick Sync Movies or change the drop down below to selected movies.
