How can I store messages sent automatically in the inbox?

I am using Thunderbird and want to Switch to Mac Mail. One feature I cannot do without it having my own sent messages delivered in my inbox rather than in the sent box. I cannot find such an option in Mac Mail.

You could also try a rule, although I haven't tested it. The criteria would select messages in "sent" box less than a certain age and move to "inbox."
BTW, if you want a lot more control over sending in Mail take a look at Mail ActOn by Indev. It gives you many more options in Mail, especially in sending.

Thanks for your prompt reply. However, the sources you gave do not seem to apply exactly to my situation. I have attached some screenshots that show what the dialogue box looks like for a pdf download, and what my settings in the Apps panel of Options are. You will note in the first screenshot that I have checked the box to handle this file type automatically; however, the next time I try to download a file of that type, the same dialogue box appears looking exactly like the one shown, so checking the "automatic" option appears to do nothing. The files to be downloaded from my Gmail messages are not generic or altered file types - they are shown as pdf, doc, docx, etc. So while your intent was good, your post did not help. Thanks anyway.

I know it's beneficial to be able to check your message content ArmyQueer. Verizon messages offers a wide variety of convenient options to manage messaging. What make and model device is this? When did you download the application on it? Please be aware you will only be able to see content after the app had been downloaded and installed. I am not sure what information to provide. Here is what I am trying to do. I am trying to create an HR questionnaire with multiple choice questions and several multiline textboxes to capture comments. I want to send it out by email address and/or embed the questionnaire somewhere on the company's intranet website. But we don't want the questionnaire to be anonymous. If someone makes a particular comment, we want to be able to communicate with the person who made that particular comment. How would we be able to trace the person? By email address, or by user ID?

Make a new Apple ID for each of your children, and use that for iCloud, FaceTime and iMessage.
You can keep the 'old' Apple ID on their devices for iTunes and App Stores.
This should allow you to all share the iTunes/Apps, but keep the messages separate. Also, you can enable iCloud backup for each device under the unique Apple ID, and set it to automatically do a backup on a regular basis.

Has anyone determined a way to read email sent to a .mac alias through the iPhone? I'm only seeing messages sent to my primary email address. When I try to add the alias as a separate account on the phone, it is rejected by the mail.mac.com server.

I have sucessfully set up my .mac alias (using .mac mail).
First make a note of your primary account information:
Username & password
Incoming mail server
Outgoing mail server
Ports etc...
You will be applying these settings to your new account.
On iPhone go to:
* Settings/mail/add account/choose "other".
* Sellect type: imap
Name the account (name you want to appear in "from" field of email).
Type in your .mac alias address.
Description: Name of mailbox (i.e. personal, work).
Incoming mail server (enter info from your primary account):
* Host Name: mail.example.com (or mail.mac.com)
* Your primary account username
* Your primary account password
Outgoing mail server (enter info from your primary account)
In my case, for out going mail server I am using:
smtp.att.yahoo.com, port: 465
My username & password
Now, on my iPhone mail, I can select which account to send & receive from.
Personal or work.

After I installed the 7.0.6 update, my iPhone crashed & had to do a restart. I saved my Contacts. I've been syncing my iPhone to store data on my PC instead of iCloud. I'm assuming all of my pictures etc. are in the iPod Photo Cache, which I cannot open since they are THMB files. How can I view all of my "lost" data without having to pay for the "Converter" program, which according to many of the people in my boat, say doesn't work & is a rip off? I'm also trying to put an "Archive" folder back in my Mail folder. I've tried to follow instructions but my iPhone 7.1 does not have the same options. All of this is so frustrating.....load an upgrade & screws a lot of stuff up. Just like "Trust this computer?" on 7.0.6 update. Anyway, I hope someone can help with these minor problems.

Not in Mail. If you referring to not having to use the menu, you can click the + sign at the bottom to create new mailboxes. But you still have to fill in the window with location and name. You can right click to create a new mailbox on an existing one, but not in the main account itself and you still have to fill in the info. It would create a sub folder.
You can also try it at the gmail website. There might be shortcuts there.

Its loading a page before even i type in the right URL. how can i prevent forefox from automatically loading the suggested page before i hit enter?

when i type in address bar, its great that the url is automatically filled in based on the history of browsing. but i dont want the page to be loading at the same instant. for ex. if i want to type thehindu.com, once i type 't' its taking for granted that i am typing thermopedia.com and completes the url and loads the page at the same time. I appreciate the url suggestion but not the page loading at the same time. this wastes my data usage (Highly inefficient).
To complicate the problem, when i type the second letter sometimes it gets appended to the already auto completed url and heads to search for the completely messy words in the default search engine.
Basically the addressbar has become useless and so is firefox usage. I'm completely frustrated and spoiled over an hour fighting the issue. please provide options to control the loading of the page automatically even if the url is automatically filledin.

You can set to open a blank page on opening Firefox and click the Home button if you want to see the Home page. You can also click ESC to stop loading the page before typing in the location bar.

How can I get Illustrator to automatically resize the font to a designated page width?

I want to be able to type lines of text and have Illustrator automatically change the font size so that it fits that width of the page exactly, even if on one line there are 8 words and on another line there are 2 words - I want the big and small letters effect. I was previously doing this in Photoshop manually but someone suggested I could do it easier in Illustrator so here I am....

In the Firefox > Options menu under Applications, search for "mailto". From there select the action drop down and select the action.
If you click on the details of the action it should have https://compose.mail.yahoo.com/?To=%s
This macro should take you to a compose mail if you are logged in.

How can I get iTunes to automatically find the file for songs marked with ! without manually doing each one?

Ok, we've had a problem with our external hard drive which holds all of our music files (our H drive). It's the 2nd time going down and we're just chalking it up as a failure. Fortunately, we had it all backed up onto another external hard drive (our G drive). We re-did iTunes back in February (bringing all the files in, sorting, playlists, etc) after fixing it the first time. So I have that exact files from then (on the G drive) minus a new CD or two, nothing major. But when I open that iTunes library, it doesn't find the music that is connected to it - even though all the music is in the folder connected to the library (all in G drive). I'm not sure if this file is still trying to look for my H drive folder.
I found a previous question asked on here about the ! songs. I brought in all the music from the iTunes/Music folder. So of course, I have double now. I would just go delete all the rest - except for this. What about my playlists?? I don't really want to recreate each one manually. I have also adjusted a ton of info in iTunes over the years to make things easier (fixed spelling when it brings it from a CD wrong, etc). That brings me back to wondering if I could have iTunes automatically search for its own file instead of me doing it for 7,500+ songs.
Any ideas?? Or am I just stuck doing a lot of work?

If what is on the G: drive is a mirror of what was on the H: drive, then get Windows to change the drive letter of G: to H:
If a simple fix isn't forthcoming then my FindTracks script should be able to reconnect the missing tracks to iTunes. FindTracks uses some fuzzy matching routines and searches for multiple potential locations. For more details see this thread.
