*My computer has recently got wiped and as i accidently deleted my music off it before i dont have it. my friend put her music on it for me and now my computer is fixed i need to put my music back on the computer. i have tried the method on here in the support section but as my music is not purchased from itunes i cannot do it does anyone know how to do it without having to have itunes puchased music?*

There are a number of 3rd pary apps that can do this for you. Some of them include iPodAgent for Windows, yamipod, & copypod which I think is now called copytrans. You can find most of them on versiontracker.com.
Now, I have to give you some advice. Once you have recovered your music, it is CRITICAL that you begin a regular backup program of your music. You can backup by burning data discs, using an external hard drive, or possibly a flash drive depending on the library size. Relying on your iPod as the SOLE BACKUP for your library is a disaster looking for a place to happen. What if iPod is lost or stolen? What if iPod has a problem & needs to be restored which is a very common fix? All of this means your music is history!!! Those of us who post regularly in these forums literally see dozens of posts per week from people in this position, & it is not a happy day for any of us when someone loses their music. First, if you are using the latest iTunes, it may hide the sidebar. To show the sidebar, from the menu bar, under View, select Show Sidebar.

iTunes will only sync with Apple devices. You may find when you plug in your player it appears on hte desktop as another drive. You can drag files from iTunes to that drive. You may need to then place them in a special folder but all this is something for you to research since players differ. We use a Sansa Clip and a RCA player with our iTunes library and that how we do it.
Make sure your player can play the format files you have in your collection. Our slightly older players will not play AAC which is the standard format used by the iTunes Store. If you find that to be the case you will have to convert formats.

Whenever you update one iTunes Library be sure to copy it to the other two computers. It goes in the /Home/Music/ folder. You can probably does this easily over your local network using File Sharing.
Copy the most recently changed iTunes Library folder to a USB flash drive. Use the flash drive to copy that library onto the other two computers.
Use a backup/sync utility to update each computer over your local network.

Almost all of my music is located on the iPod and only the songs I have purchased through iTunes Store are showing up on my iTunes account. There is no supported way to transfer library content synced to an iDevice to another iDevice. You also cannot sync library content from an iDevice to a different iTunes library. Content transfer is from the itunes library on the computer to the iDevice.
The one exception is purchased content (from the iTunes store), which can be transferred to the computer by selecting the "Transfer Purchases" menu option with hte device connected to the computer.
The only resolution I could offer, is that you "Could" (assuming you still have the original computer with the content) transfer the music via homesharing or another method listed in the following KB article:

I understand that the iPhone is intended only to sync with only one computer and for that reason it won't allow me to transfer my music from my iPhone to another computer. Problem is my old hard drive died (along with all my music inside).

That was a pretty bad assumption. The iTunes content sync is one way: Computer to phone. Apple makes no provision to get content off your phone and into your iTunes library, as it's expected that you backup that library, and no, the iPhone is not a backup device, not designed as such and never intended to be such.
For purchased music from the iTunes store, you can File>Transfer Purchases, before syncing and after you've authorized your computer Store>Authorize this Computer. Music ripped on your own or photos synced to your phone will have to be extracted using third-party software before you do anything else:

If after researching the info in the other comments you still find that there is music that you would loose on the iPhone, there are 3rd party apps that can manage iPhone content without erasing the iPhone. Just search for a Windows alternative to iTunes.

On the hope that latest version of itunes will work more for me, I downloaded the itunes version 12 recently. But to my surprise the sync button is not there even if I connect the ipod ( classic iOS 1.3 version). My ipod serial No.is 8L730BL1V9M and it is ipod classic with buttonwheel. I am having 32bit Windows vista home premium and using DELL system. How I can find sync button and for your information, the itunes player window shows every song I have in the library and I cannot sync the songs to my ipod. I have been having several annoying problems with iTunes for the past several months...
1) Library content not showing after folder relocation:
First, in order to free up space on my C drive, I wanted to relocate my iTunes folder to a new 1TB hard drive (F) I installed. I did so according to Apple's instructions online, but despite setting the new location to be my library in my iTunes preferences, the content never shows up in the iTunes Library in the actual application. This is my most annoying problem, so please someone help me to resolve this! Thanks.
2) Albums purchased on iPhone 5 only sometimes sync with PC
I have purchased a few albums on my iPhone 5 and only some of them have synced to my PC when I connect my iPhone via USB. They don't even appear under the "Purchases" playlist in the iTunes Store. So, I have content right now on my iPhone that I can only access via my iPhone, and some of the music has gone missing. One or two tracks from albums are not there despite me purchasing full albums at a time... This is also pretty dang annoying and prevents me from trying a solution I'd looked up to fix my third problem...
3) Album artwork mixed up/mismatched on iPhone 5
This is pretty self-explanatory. Ony day my album artwork decided to play musical chairs. So now, for example, it shows Andrew W.K.'s bloody face when I listen to Zedd, and shows Skrillex when I listen to Symphony X. I read online that if you desync your content on you iPhone so that none of the music is there any longer, and then resync content from your computer, it will fix this issue. I'm hesitant to apply this solution until I can fix the ones above though, because I don't want to lose content that I have legally paid for.

1) The best way to relocate the iTunes library folder is to move the entire iTunes folder with all subfolders to the new path, then press and hold down shift as start iTunes and keep holding until prompted to choose a library, then browse to the relocated folder and open the file iTunes Library.itl inside it.
If you've done something different then provide some more details about what is where and I should be able to help.
2) Purchases on the device should automatically transfer to a Purchased on <DeviceName> playlist, but it my depend a bit on whether automatic iCloud downloads are enabled. If there is a cloudy link then the transfer might not happen. You can use File > Devices > Transfer Purchases. In iTunes you should also check out iTunes Store > Quick Links > Purchased > Music > Not on this computer.
3) Backup the device, then immediately restore it. In some cases you need to add a restore as new device into that equation. Obbviously not to be attempted until you're sure all your media is in your library. See Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device should it be needed.
4) I believe there is complimentary 1 incident 90-day support with hardware purchases, but no free software support for iTunes itself. AppleCare gets you a different level of support.

Yup. You have to update itunes first. heres what I did and I had no problems.
1 Download newest version of iTunes.
2 Back up phone to PC.
3 Hook pc up in a safe place with good wifi and power supply.
4 Start iTunes.
5 Hook up phone via usb cable to pc.
6 click on update button in iTunes.
7 Let the phone and iTunes do the rest. dont touch your phone until it restarts itself and goes back to the mini tutorial when you first turn it on.
