How can i sync my music from my iPod into a new computer because my old one is dead
I bought the macbook air and want to sync my music from my ipod into itunes. Of course its not letting me because it says if I want to sync it will erase everything. Is there anything I can do so I could keep all my music and still sync? I no longer have access to my old computer because it completely died on me.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for this very occasion. Use your backup copy to put everything back.
If for some reason you have failed to do this, not good, then you can transfer itunes purchases from an ipod: File>Devices>Transfer Purchases

My old computer crashed and I have a new computer. How can I save my music from my IPod to the new computer since it isn't in my Library. I don't want to sync and lose music.
Then you will need to search for a 3rd party program to transfer content

One of the most recommended is Yamipod. This is a free program that transfers music from iPod back to the computer. However, it does not transfer playcounts/ratings etc.
Other free programs are Pod Player, SharePod and Floola and iDump andiPodRobot.
If you want to recover just the structure of playlists from the iPod (and not the actual song files themselves), there's iRepo for Windows. which I understand has this feature along with all the standard features for these programs.
iPodRip also has the feature enabling you to reconstruct playlists.
There is also CopyTrans. This does preserve ratings/playcounts etc if those are important to you but this program is not free. It also supports video transfer.
More information is contained here.

I have a new pc windows 7 and when i plug in my ipod it says it must erase all the data to sync. How do i get the music from my ipod to my new computer. The old computer is trashed and files are not available, songs are only on ipod.
One of the reasons why including your iTunes library with your computer's backup is a good idea. Use this link for future reference in this regard.
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1751
iTunes includes an option to transfer iTunes content that was purchased/downloaded from the iTunes store from an iPod, iPad, and iPhone, but this is for iTunes content that was purchased/downloaded from the iTunes store only.
First you need to authorize your new computer with your iTunes account with iTunes if you haven't already done so.
With your iPhone connected and without syncing, at the iTunes menu bar go to File and select Transfer Purchases From - the name of your iPhone. -

How do I transfer music from my ipod to my PC without being able to access the old laptop which the ipod was previously synced to? My old laptop broke, and I want to sync my music and add everything to my new laptop, but if I try to sync my ipod with my new computer it says it is going to delete all my music. I tried looking at the apple help pages, and it said: First attach your ipod to the computer you want to disconnect from. Not possible in this case. What can I do?

i am trying to transfer the music i have on my ipod to a new computer but i no longer have access to the old computer. Is there anyway that this can be done?
Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer is structured around you maintaining your media on a computer which is itself properly backed up against loss. Syncing is one way, computer to device, matching the device content to the content on the computer. The exception is purchased content.
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848 - only media purchased from iTunes Store
For transferring other items from an i-device to a computer you will probably have to use third party commercial software unless you have an older model iPod. Examples (check the web for others; this is not an exhaustive listing, nor do I have any idea if they are any good):

My old computer crashed with my entire iTunes library. It was not backed up and now my only music library is on an older iPod Nano. Is there a way of getting my music from my iPod to my computer so that I can then get my music onto my iPhone 4S?
Thank you,You cannot transfer song files from iPod to computer using iTunes (except for songs purchased from the iTunes Store). However, there are third-party methods and utilities that can transfer from iPod to computer. If you do a Google search on something like "ipod transfer," you should get some links.
Once the song files are on your new computer, add them to your iTunes library. Then, you can sync the iPod and iPhone to that iTunes library.
NOTE: For any previous song purchases from the iTunes Store, you can re-download them at no cost from the iTunes Store Purchased screen. You need to be signed in using the same Apple ID used for purchasing. -
Question. How can I get my music library from my IPOD onto ITUNES on a
new computer, given that my old computer, which contained my ITUNES library crashed and has an unrecoverable hard drive?Have you not got a backup of your iTunes content on, for example, an external drive ? If not then depending on which country that you are in then you might be able to re-download past iTunes music purchases from the store. Otherwise you will need a third-party program to copy them off - this post mentions some that were around a couple of years ago, I don't know whether they still exist and/or work.

I have a new computer..how can I get my music from my Ipod to my new computer?
I am trying to download Tunes64Setup.exe but my computer is not allowing at the moment and it is taking a very long time. I want to know how I get my music off of my Ipod shuffle onto my new computer?
The music sync is one way - computer tp ipod. the exception is itunes purchases. File>Transfer Purchases
You should copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer to your new one. -
How can I transfer my music from an Ipod to my new MAC? My old computer broke.
My old computer broke. I got a new MAC Book PRO. I have all may music in an Ipod classic. Can I recover my music to my new MAc?
Does the old hard drive still work? You can buy an external hard drive case and transfer data to your new Macbook Pro and recover your itunes libary. As far as i'm aware, Apple have not created software or allow you to move music from ipod to Mac.

How can I sync my music from my Ipod to my computer
iTunes sync is one way from your computer to your iOS device.
You will need a third party software such as TouchCopy to do that.
Do you still have access to your old computer with your iTunes library?

My old computer has crashed. My new computer has my iphone account. How can I transfer my playlist from my ipod to my new computer?
Sync is only oneway, from PC to your device. Unless you have the music on your PC, iTunes is going to wipe out what you have on your device if you are syncing to a new library.
You can only transfer Purchased music over to Itunes on your PC.

As for you own music, you may have to use a third party software. A good Free one is called Sharepod which you can download from Download.com here:
