How can i sync my phone with blank itunes account
Accidentally wiped my itunes a few weeks back (hey ho) so whilst I have nothing to loose I thought I'd take the opportuninty to move my itunes to my laptop.
Ive installed itunes onto laptop and know that I need to de-authorise itunes on my PC at some point.
How do I sync my iphone 4 (which still has stuff on) with empty itunes on laptop without losing everything off my phone?
Ive done a phone back up to PC and an icloud back up but stuck as what to do now as I now have 2 empty itunes and stuff on my phone that I can't seem to sync

Quick answer if you use iTunes' default preferences settings: Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its subfolders and files) intact to the other drive. Open iTunes and immediately hold down the Option (alt) key (shift on Windows), then guide it to the new location of the library.

I have just purchased a new macbook and need to sync my iphone with itunes, i understand that you can only sync your phone with one itunes account. I do not want to wipe my iphone when syncing with this new itunes account. Any advice welcome
1) authorize iTunes on the new machine for your iTunes store account(s)
2) connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
3) sync the device
iTunes will wipe the iPhone but, since you transferred your purchases in the previous step, your content will be in your library and you can re-populate the iPhone with it. -
My Iphone was sync with Itunes on a computer then this computer broke down and i purchased another one. I was able to extract all the data from the old one. now how can i sync my phone with the new tunes without loosing any data?

The laptop I originally synch'd my iphone 4s with is broken and cannot retrieve any files. How can I sync the phone with a new laptop without losing all my downloaded music and apps already installed on my iphone?
If the answer to the above question is "yes", FIRST, set up a backup of your new computer before you do anything else so the next time your computer breaks you will not be in the same situation. Backup solutions are numerous and inexpensive, and there is absolutely no excuse in the Third Millennium not to have one.

There is no Info tab in Mavericks

If you connect your ipod to your computer then look in the hidden folder labeled "iPod_Control" . (This is on a Mac version, but i think it's the same for Windows) and in "Music" is all your music mixed up in different folders. Just drag the MUSIC folder onto itunes then BAM! It's done ;D

My partner has a works iPad, which has her works Apps on (ones that are specifically made by her company and are NOT available in the App store).
What I want to be able to do is to ALSO have my itunes account on there so that I can put all the apps I have purchased previously from my iPhone on it.
This is so I can put on VLC player (thats already in my itunes account) so I can add videos to the iPad.
How do I do this please?
I tried it before by connecting it to my mac, but it wiped everything off the iPad completely and also deleted the data settings for using 3G.
So I want to avoid this happening again the future as it had to be sent back to her head office to be sorted again.
Any advise please?
ThanksYou can't. The iPad is desgined to be a 'one user' device and only really works with one apple ID at a time.
The only way would be if she, at work and with her work apple id, downloaded your apps (repurchasing them of course).
It's not meant to be a multiple user/multiple ID device. -

She should not sync her phone to a different iTunes library. Once solution is to set up Home Sharing, then in iTunes on her computer drag and drop the music from your library to hers. Then she can sync this music from her own iTunes library to her phone. (She will need to authorize her computer for the Apple ID(s) used to purchase any purchased music in order to sync it to her phone.) Thanks.The only difference I can think of adding is that if you want to use the 1 computer with multiple iPhones but want EACH iPhone to sync different information would be best if each iPhone user syncing had their own User Profile for the computer.

Nothing gets copied from one iPhone to the other.
Everything gets copied from iTunes/computer to iPhone.
Select the iPhone iTunes, click the tabs across top and select what you want to sync.
I do NOT want a separate login for each phone.
Then you are not going to be able to always sync different data.
Notes are notes. It's sync them or not.
Calendars and contacts you can select specific groups and calendars though I would recommend using iCloud (not iTunes) to sync this. -
I have an iPhone 3s and my sister has an iPhone 3. We use them only as iPods. We each have our own iTunes account, but we have to share a computer. How can we both syn our devices without sharing our music and app libraries?
The most reliable way would be to set up individual user accounts in WIndows. Then each of your iTunes libraries will be completely separate.

How can i sync 15 iPads to 1 iTunes account quickly and easily?
I am in charge of 15 iPads in my school.
I would like to sync all the ipads to one itunes account easily and quickly. At the moment i am doing this manually 1 at a time.
The ipads do all have apps on them now, but when i download new apps or software updates, i have to sync it across each ipad 1 at a time through itunes.
I would also like to create a new itunes account, to keep 1 set (15) of ipads sperate from another set we have in school. Could i transfer purchases to the new itunes from 1 iPad, then sync across the remaining 14?
We have a spare computer that could soley be used for itunes or alternatiely, i have a personal macbook pro, that has my personal library on it.
The ipads are contained in a storage/charging station, that can be connected to a pc/mac via a usb cable (connection is similar to a printer port, then into USB).
I have connected the container to the pc via USB and itunes recognises the 15 ipads, but i still have to sync them individually.
I would like to be able to connect the container, click sync and leave it over night, rather than sit there for hours.
Is this possible?
Must be other people in similar situations as many schools have ipads now.

HT1203 How can I sync my iPad to my iTunes account ( which has 2 seperate emails &/or user ID's)?
I had a different email account when I downloaded iTunes to my computer, and had NO problems syncing my iTouch to that same iTunes account, but when I tried to sync my iPad (which had a different email) to that same iTunes acct. Im not able to sync it no matter what I try i cant sync either my music playlist OR my APPS from my iTouch to my iCloud. When I tried to ADD new email to my APPLE ID preferences, it comes up with a message saying "That Apple ID is already in use".....but I had signed out of my PC email? Please someone help, I would be so grateful as I have been trying to figure this out on my own for almost 2 months. My husband suggested this since calling 1(800)MY APPLE won't help unless I pay $20.00 for Each question!

How can I sync my iPhone with another iTunes Library, but be able to keep my songs?
I logged onto my computer and all my iTunes music was suddenly gone. It was almost like it had deleted itself. Now I can't find the same Library I was using before and can't download music. If I try to sync it to another computer, it will delete all the songs i have now.
I had the same issue with a withdrawn app. Just copy all the .app files from the old directory to somewhere on the new machine, then drag them onto the Application menu item on the left hand side and iTunes will import them as long as you've already registered iTunes for the same account.
Job done! Worked a treat for me - including the app that wasn't available any more.....
