How can i take a program off startup?

every time i startup and log in, microsoft word opens automatically. where do i control what opens at startup?

System Preferences > Accounts > click lock, authenticate > your_account > Login Items tab. Select MS Word in the list of Login Items, click [-] to remove it.
Note that if a Word document, instead of Word itself, was specified as a Login Item, this would also cause Word to launch when you log in.

#Go to Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel, scroll down to "Mozilla Firefox" and remove it, choosing to keep your bookmarks, customizations etc., (don't checkmark the box).
#Then reboot and delete the folder called "Mozilla Firefox" at this location: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
This will retain your bookmarks, customizations etc., so that if you reinstall Firefox at a later date, these will become available to you again. If you don't want to retain that data, checkmark the box mentioned in step #1

Have them delete the iCloud account (your email address) on their devices then let them create their own iCloud account -> http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4436. If all of you are syncing contacts and calendars on the same iCloud account, they have to re-organise those stuffs once they have their own iCloud account. When you delete an iCloud account, it normally asks what would you do for the synced information - keep it on the iOS device or delete. If they choose to keep the synced information (e.g. Contacts and Calendars), they have to delete those thare aren't theirs or they can start from scratch by deleting the synced information from the iOS device. You can transfer purchases from your iPhone and iPod touch to your computer and it will put all music, apps, books, and other purchases or downloads made in iTunes onto your computer. Or you can sign into the iTunes Store in iTunes on your computer and go to Purchases > Not on This Computer > Download all for each tab across the top.
If you have any music that was imported from CDs to your Dad's computer, you'll need to import those to your laptop. When you sync your iPhone, it will erase all the music on your iPhone and replace it with the music in your Music Library. If you have all of the music that's on your iPhone on your computer already (by importing CDs and transferring purchases) you won't lose anything.

How can I take folder pictures off my mother's iPad?

My mother has an iPad 2 and I sent her up with folders on my Dad's computer so we could file grandkids' pictures and then sync them to the iPad. Everything was fine until my Dad deleted the folder of pictures from his computer (don't ask!). Now, when I sync the iPad, the pictures don't sync back to the computer. When I open the iPad as a hard drive and look in the photo file, there is nothing there but Camera Roll photos. What can I do to retrieve my Mom's pictures? She's ready to divorce my Dad over this!

I'm assuming there is no backup of the computer files. Is the computer a Mac or PC? The photo files are still on the computer's hard drive, but since they were deleted the Finder can't find them. You need to use a file recovery program like DataRescue http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/10259/data-rescue
Another important point. You need to quit using the computer until you run the file recovery program, since if you save new files the area of the hard drive where the photos are will be overwritten. The photos are gone unless you use a file recovery program. There are companies that do data recovery, but it's usually expensive.

Settings > iTunes & App Store > Apple ID: here
But for all other Apple services like:
FaceTime, iMessage, iCloud, etc, one of you should use a different Apple ID.

To see all the photos on the phone, including photos that have already been imported into iPhoto, deselect the "Hide Photos Already Imported" checkbox. If the camera contains photos that have already been imported into iPhoto, those photos are hidden by default.
