How can I transfer music from an USB drive to the iPod. I can see the music and play it on the computer, but the iPod tells me to use iTunes to sync. The music is not on iTunes. It has worked in the past.....tks
These are just playlists. The songs there are really not duplicates of the songs. They are just a different location for accessing them. Some playlists can be deleted, some cannot. Ones that are created by iTunes cannot be deleted. Ones that you create can be. The Recently Added and the 90's cannot.

You'll need a MicroSD Card in the Voyager's Card slot. Copy the photos from the internal memory of your phone to the SD Card. Now you're ready to install the USB Drivers on your PC so you can connect your phone. Download the Drivers from Verizon's web site or go to http://www.lgforum.com/resources and under the Verizon section, download the "LG_USB_Drivers.." file and install the drivers on your PC. Next plug the Voyager into the USB port and from the "Tools" menu on the phone go to USB Connection and choose Mass Storage Mode and the SD cad in your phone will show up on your PC. You can now copy files to and from the Voyager. -

Another way. You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)

Most of the iMac's have sometype of video output port on the back. You will problably need a converter.
The 'hollywood' industry has been making it more difficult to get video out over time to prevent copying.

This is the best I can do. This way you can use the 2011 MBA way to do things.
Look for the post from @jacktourist. (on page 2 about half way down) This seems to be the easiest.

However if you really need the operating system you can buy a USB drive with OS X Lion on it, ready to boot. I think they're $69 at Apple's store. What I would do is contact AppleCare via the Express Lane or just call them and tell them your situation and then they will definantly have an answer for you to point you in the right direction.

I have an extensive aperture library on my computer's hard drive and I want to break it up into separate smaller libraries on external hard drives. How do I take projects from one library and add them to another one?

Frank gave you the exact answer to your question.
However, I would like to ask if you are indeed asking the right question. Do you really want different libraries? The implications are that you have to "switch" libraries to see what's in the others, and so that your searches don't work across all of your pictures? If so, then you asked the right question. If not, you may be more interested in relocating your masters to multiple hard drives so your library gets smaller, instead of breaking up the library.

1. Export from iPhoto A to the Finder, then import to iPhoto B
This gets the photo over, but no versions, no edit history and not all the metadata
2. Use iPhoto Library Manager
This gets everything: versions, edit history and all the metadata.

You may be able to get your iPhoto library back by rebuilding it. I've done it, but's it's been a long time, so don't want to mislead you on anything. The guys over in the iPhoto forum are real experts and should have some fixes for you.
