    Where do my files have to be in order to use creative cloud and not have my indesign links break? I'll need to use Indesign on different computers and my images won't be traveling with me... will I need to relink every image every time? this gets way too tedious after 5 pages of links are broken. Also,,, why do I need all these plugin's once I use an icloud version of indesign when I've saved the file on my external hard drive, and then open the exact same file from the exact same hard drive? The file never opens and is corrupt which means I have to rebuild the entire thing or physically travel back to that computer which has the indesign cloud.... It's baffling.
    And another question... how does adobe not have a live support number to call and ask questions? I've been in the same "click-loop" now forever  and I can't ever get to an actual useful forum.

    Standard practice is to use File>Package and then save to drive/location that suits you. If you need it to travel with you bring the entire folder.
    The InDesign file will link to the folder where the Links folder is situated.

    The file isn't corrupt. The Craeative Cloud version is a newer version than you have on your computer at home. That's why the plugins are missing, as older versions don't have the same plugins as the newer version of InDesign.
    If you want to work on a version created with CC - then you need to use file Export/Save and choose IDML - then open that in earlier versions of InDesign.
    However, you could install the Creative Cloud on your computer at home and use the same version of InDesign - this would solve  your problem without any extra work.

    InDesign has never offered user support in using the software. It's telephone and helpline service is not for that purpose. InDeisgn is a professional graphic designer/typesetter/whateveryourjob is tool.
    Like any tool you need to have specific training to it's end use, most people used to do an apprenticeship/trainee position going to college to learn the software and the fine principles of lithographic/screen/flexo/gravure printing and the use of images/text/graphics etc on the web.
    It's a professional's tool that requires professional training. Much like I wouldn't go out and buy a carpenters tool set and then complain that none of the tools do what I want them to do, like hammering in a screw.

    Yes, that is the key to it.   In North America live chat is available, though I would question the value of it.   It usually takes ten times longer to 'chat' than to talk or even send an eMail.  Why don't you ask your question here; by far the most realistic means of attracting a reasonably accurate answer.

    You can get the drop down list by either right-clicking on the back/forward buttons, or holding down the left button until the list appears.

    uninstalled firefox ....deleted all files still remaining under mozilla firefox directory in program files ... to avoid having to reprogram all my settings, reisntall all addons as well .. I did not remove anything from mozilla firefox that is stored in either appdata or under the windows users directory (if any)
    ... the as suggested reinstalled the latest version of the firefox browser using the link you provided in the email ..; tested and several issues still remain present and unresolved ....
    so please this is urgent or I will have to jump browsers and start using chrome .. because we work 14 hours a day 6 (sometimes 7) days a week, to get ready for the launch of our newest venture and we cannot lose that much days on browser related issues ... so please instead of putting me through week long step process .. of do this .. do that .. can you please actually look into the issue from your end ..     I have 2 issues that Apple has not been able to resolve, that are vexing me.
    1) Somehow I have 2-3 apple IDs ... passwords etc. I have purchased 2 iPads, 2 -3 iPhones, a Macbook Pro, and a Mac Mini with Thunderbolt monitor. Somewhere in that process I might have created another Apple ID, not sure. When the confusion started, I went to an Apple store, and they suggested I create a new Apple ID, against my better judgement I did, which added to the confusion. Now, every time I need to sign in using my Apple ID for anything, I have no idea what user ID goes with what password. I have gone to Apple stores several time to try to get this situation cleared up and each time they try to get me to create yet another Apple ID. Now I won't do that anymore, but the original confusion remains. How can I wipe out all Apple IDs and just have one?
    2) I have been trying to get a particular functionality/feature/capability added to my Mac system. Don't want to go into detail here because someone will steal my idea and make millions. I have posed this question to Mac personnel from Geniuses, to Business Teams -- no one can figure it out. How do I get this fabulous capability I have thought up to come to life so I can make millions?

    I need to speak to someone about a way to fix the only means of communication the schools have to get ahold of me about my children if something were to happen.  Ive tried to schedule appointments that are within the driving limit for me due to being disabled but that was blown off like oh well not our fault.  I was told I could send it in but then no way for me to know the school has called.  Ive been a diehard apple consumer that brags about your products and when there is an issue I get this.  Its not right and needs to be fixed.

    That's because the Discussions are user-to-user only; Apple does not provide technical support through these forums. If they have something blanket to say, they do it through an article in the KnowledgeBase.
    As to your problem; it is just with some tracks, or with any track you import or purchase? If it's just certain tracks from the iTunes Music Store, they may well have arrived corrupted from the record company (the record companies provide the tracks; Apple doesn't handle the compression themselves). In such a case, you need to contact the iTunes Music Store customer support department through the form at the bottom of this web page and explain the problem to them. There is no telephone number; Apple, as is the case with all download music stores I've seen, doesn't find it cost-effective to provide telephone technical support.
    If it's all tracks that are affected, then perhaps this KnowledgeBase article will help:

    So just authorize that second system. All you need is to have it connected to the Internet long enough for it to contact the iTunes Music Store. If the track stutters on that system as well, then the track is almost certainly defective. Contact the iTMS through the link I provided above.

  • My LR 5 is in a state of partial crash, many hundreds of photos I have recently processed having somehow been deleted. How can I talk with an actual live adobe expert person to find out if this is salvageable?

    Suddenly today, in the process of going through a large backlog of images from the last month of wildlife photography, using Develop, and deleting large numbers along the way, I noticed that hundreds of images from the last week of my work have at some pointat some point in the last hour or two today, while I have been working on them,  simply disappeared from from the Catalog's "All Photographs" and from the individual day by day photo folders in the Catalog. I also noticed when trying to figure this out that simply clicking the black flag bar after selecting an image as a prelude to clicking "Delete Rejected Photos" or even just clicking  only the white flag, causes the selected image to disappear from all photographs and from the image folder for that day!! My last LR  backup was a weeklyJune 16, but in the last week I have done several solid days of work processing these images. (Whatever happened does not appear to have deleted the raw images from my hard drive, all of which are backed up when I finished work last night.) Is there any way I can talk directly with an adobe live expert person to see if there is any way to salvage the processed images that appear to have disappeared from the LR system?

    You generally won't get staff here but you will get help from people with a vast knowledge of Lightroom inside and out.
    If what you says happens when you use the flag filter, is it reproduceable  and does Ctrl/Cmd-z undo the removal.
    Tell us your OS, Lightroom version and where the image files are stored.
    You can always try the Help Chat but I think you will be better off here.

    There are no user serviceable parts in an iPhone. If the back was
    removed and the battery disconnected, your warranty was voided.
    Apple will not repair iPhones that have been opened by others.
    Take the iPhone back to where the back was opened - maybe they
    can fix the problem.
