How can I tell BIOS Version "offline"?

I just got my K8N Neo2 Platinum and a 3200+ Winchester CPU. I heard that you need at least BIOS Version 1.2 for the winchester to run. I just wanted to check with you if there is any chance for determining my BIOS version without installing the board (maybe by serial number / revision number?). Of course I could install the board, but since my whole PC is watercooled, it would be very annoying to set up the whole PC just to realize that my BIOS does not support my CPU...

you can't! serial number / revision number is on the CHIP. there is nothink with information in the chip. its flashable. you dont know what version is on it.
etc you may see some hard disk SATA Seagate baracuda 80GB 8MB cache. so could you tell me what version on windows is installed on it without turning HDD on?!
you can guess for BIOS ver on chip depending on baying date on the board. or on mobo revision.
why you need this?! just put your CPU and power on. if mobo dont recognise it correctly will be desplayed "Unknown CPU type" but who care?! boot directly from floppy and update with latest BIOS. then will support your new cpu. other way to put other proccesor if mobo dont wont to boot with unrecognized CPU. and proceed with update with latest BIOS. after complete put your new cpu back.
other way is to take your BIOS chip and to flash to other the same model mobo.(but this is not reccomended)

Hey guys, my new build won't post, fans work (although my psu only has 4 pins and the motherboard has 8 pins for cpu power, i was told that it will work), the cpu fan works twice for a bit then starts working, I get no beeps (3 beeps if i remove ram).
Here's my build :
MSI z97-gaming 3
Intel i5 4590 3.3ghz
6gb 1333 twinmos ram (from old build, 1x4 1x2, works in dual mode on old motherboard)
So how can I find the bios version that's shipped with my motherboard ? I saw the sticky post but couldn't find it under or near the cmos battery, maybe I missed it but is it the same position in new motherboards ? I'm trying to figure out if the problem is the cpu compatibility

My psu is an older build Mmax (local company in my country) 450w, I plan on upgrading to some brand name with a bit more power to put a video card (I think my current psu can handle it but just to be safe)

Open a QT document and use the Help menu, where you should see an item labeled (I believe) About Quicktime Player. That should tell you the version running the player.
You need QT Pro and QT 7 to have a preset for iPod video. You probably can use QT 6 if you use these settings in making an mpeg-4 video:

Thank you, but that is not the issue. I am want to know which itunes track with which it is matched. For instance if I have the the remastered version of a song I want to know if it has been matched to the original or remastered track in itunes. Because the meta tags stay the same I can't tell from the track info.

I have a Java application purchased from a vendor that is certified to run under JDK/JRE 1.2xxx. I recently received some extensions to the application from the vendor's consulting arm but I am having problems with the extensions. I believe the extensions were compiled under JDK 1.3xxxx but I need tp prove it to the vendor. Is there a way I can verify what version of JDK a class file was compiled under?

...version of JDK a class file was compiled under? Not sure that makes sense. The class files will run the same under both. The only difference you would see is if you got a class not found or a method not found exception. If the class/method does not exist in 1.2 but does exist in 1.3 then that is where they were compiled. Manually verifying that would take a lot of work. Running it, as long as you excercise all of the functionality, (and presuming your app is not eating exceptions/errors when it shouldn't) then you should get an exception telling you of the error.

You choose the apple icon in the very top left corner. From there, choose about this mac. A pop-up will show and a series of numbers will come into the screen. For example, mine is 10.8.5

I have osx 10.8.5. Software update says I have security update 2014-001 1.0 available for my Mac. When I try to install, it downloads, says to restart, which I do, and then gives me an error message saying the update can't be installed and to contact apple. This was done several times, with the same result. Did the system accept the update? Why does it continue to say that this update is available?
