I'm looking to sell it. I no longer have the charger. The seriel # starts with a 4, does this mean it's 4GB?

It tells you how to determine the iPod's capacity for each model. Click on your specific model from the list of options.

1st gen - It is white plastic and looks like a USB "thumb drive." It as a full USB connector on it, so you don't need a cable to connect it to the computer.
2nd gen - It is a clip-on design. It has separate switches for setting playback order (shuffle or in order) and for turning ON/OFF.
3rd gen - It is a narrow clip-on design, with no playback control buttons on the shuffle itself. You use the "remote control" buttons on the ear buds cord. It has the new VoiceOver feature.
4th gen - Apple went back to the 2nd gen style, except smaller. It has only one switch that is both for setting playback order (shuffle or in order) and turning ON/OFF, plus a small VoiceOver button (for using the VoiceOver feature introduced in 3rd gen)

How many hours should shuffle play?

I am having the problem where my shuffle will not charge to geren so I was advised to discharge the battery and restore. I have had it running for 17 hours and its still going. Is this beyond normal? (I mean its a good thing though :D)

Apple's spec for the 2nd Gen Shuffle is "Up to 12 hours"
so yours is an over achiever!
So it was FULLY charged! What IS the problem? Was it blinking orange while charging? IF so, that just means it's being seen by the system as a storage device... to stop the blinking you have to unmount it by selecting it under "safely remove hardware" in the system tray. THEN the light should show the charge status.

Do you mean that you want to know how many Text-elements are there in a specific Script or you want to know how many max Text-Elements a script can have?
I believe there is no limit on this......
To know all the Text Elements in a Script......goto SE71....press F4 Help on Script Name....Choose Last option for Custom developed Scripts.....and you can open the complete Script details & Code in a Line Editor...After that you can serach/look for the text elements

You aren't losing any time in that mode, but I believe it is a 10 second fade out/fade in.

Thanks, I have looked at that several times but I can't detect any one item which would indicate overusage. The small chart (indicator bars) are much on the low side and the onse which show are basically green? Not sure what the person at the Genius Bar saw so I'm somewhat puzzled.

oddly someone asked me that question months ago.
A: you would never ever want your entire SSD full of pictures, for many reasons.
Average pic is 1.5 MB
70,000 pics at 1.5MB will = 102GIG
So, if you had your Air with average number of APPS, and took ALL THE FREE SPACE and jammed it up with pics (which nobody should ever ever do)
you could jam in 70,000 pics ....roughly
NO computer is a data storage device, .......buy an external 1TB HD for $70

In a word, yes. In a little more detail.... When you restore from an iCloud backup, you must erase the device and start all over again. There is no other way to access the backup in iCloud without erasing the device. Consequently, you are starting all over again. If the documents are not in the backup, and you do not have a backup elsewhere, the documents could be gone forever.

I only know what it says in the article. There it specifically says "iOS device" and it says. "You can view which devices or computers are currently associated," and, "Next to each device or computer name, you will be able to see when each was associated to your Apple ID." However, this is all in the context of, "When you turn on iTunes Match or Automatic Downloads, or when you download past purchases on an iOS device or computer, that device or computer becomes associated with your Apple ID." I guess if somebody simply logs in it won't show.

Your current camera roll is stored in iCloud via the backup, and the photos in Photo stream are also stored in iCloud for about 4 weeks.
However, once you delete them on your iPad, they will disappear from your backup the next time it runs.
The best way to sort your issue out is to:
1) Connect a Windows or OS X computer to Photo Stream. This will get your current photos onto your computer.
and/or
2) Connect your iPad to a Windows or OS X computer through the USB cable, and sync the photos across before deleting them from your iPad. This will get photos and videos.
