How can i tell if a plugin is Intel-native or not?

i have CS3 and i'm upgrading from a G5 to an Intel Mac.
is there a way to tell if installed plugins are PPC or Universal/Intel?

As I remember, if the plug-in is not intel native or UB they just won't show up.
If you really need to use a PPC plug-in you can select the info for CS3 in the finder and check the box that says run under Rosetta. Then all your Power PC plug-ins will show up.

Since the only thing needed in that box is the small piece of paper with the (very long) registration code on it (usually found inside the booklet), see if that is actually there and, if it is, call Apple at 800-275-2273 and ask to be transferred to the Applecare department. How can you tell if your drive is 7200rpm model or not?

I just received my new MBP via FedEx - so far, love it. I bought the 2.53 version and upgraded the hard drive to 320GB at 7200rpm. I can't for the life of me figure out how to see in my settings if this is in fact the 7200rpm model or if it's the 5400rpm model. I just want to make sure I'm getting what I paid for. I opened the back up and the drive itself doesn't say it's running speed. When I pull it up in finder it doesn't say. So how can I find out?

I ordered the 320GB HDD @ 7200 RPM. It is the same as noted above. It is the $50 upgrade that Apple offers. Standard drive is 5400 RPM.
All drives that Apple offers are Serial ATA (1.5GB/s), none are SATA II (3GB/s). The only difference is in RPM. (5400 standard vs. 7200 upgrade)
Curiously the nvidia chipset is 3GB/s capable. Strange that 3GB/s support is not offered.
To answer OPs question, yes, the drive is 7200 RPM.

If this is a Microsoft based phone AND you have location awareness turned on AND they have this phone tied to a Microsoft account AND you have access to all of the account information, then there is a Microsoft web site that will show you the current location of the phone. Otherwise MrGecko is pretty much dead on. You would have to have an app on the phone, or pay Verizon more money to give you the location.

You can install Adobe Programs ONLY from the originals installer which is provided from Adobe. Time Machine (which is a form of migration) will not result in working Adobe programs. As Bob said, use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool, which is also working for CS versions, to wipe out everything from Adobe and start with a clean installing.
I am not sure, if CS4 is running on Maverick, at least it is not supported officially, your are here alone. It might be so that you have to upgrade your software to a later version.

Did you buy an unlocked iPhone from Apple? If you did not buy the T-Mobile model from Apple, then you don't have an unlocked phone. Any phone once locked to a cellular provider can only be unlocked by that provider if they are willing and able to do so.

I am using cFP-AI-110 to monitor 0-5 volts. The problem is when some one unplugs the cable to this module, it still reads the same voltage with a little drifting, so how do I differentiate between the two scenarios?

There is no way for the AI-110 to know that the sensor has been disconnected because it doesn't have any open circuit detection circuitry. You could add some circuitry on the sensor connection to do something such as connect it to a known voltage and then if it read that level you would know that it was disconnected.

I am trying to get my phone unlocked from Verizon as I will be travelling oversees. Verizon said they already put the request through to apple to unlock the phone. However, when trying to utilize the other SIM card it will not work and I am told that the phone was not unlocked. How can I tell if it is unlocked? and if not unlocked how do I get it unlocked?

This is correct. They do not unlock for use with domestic carriers.

Hi Guys and girls, hopefully an easy question for you.
I installed Adobe flash and lightsource last night, cos I needed it to run Weebly website maker.

I have a new comp, so no previous version of flash on here, I am running OSX 10.9.1
I just want to know How I can tell if Adobe Flash is installed properly and is the upto date version?
Where do I go in the comp to find out,
If I type in Adobe flash into search it only brings up flash manager, when I click this it is an uninstaller program.
Lightsource shows in finder apps.
If I type in flash player it shows up in plugins with a version number see screen shot.
Where would I go to check for updates for things like flash on my comp?

The amount of storage that is shown on the box and in Settings are calculated differently - the package uses 1 billion bytes as a gig (i.e. decimal), whereas in Settings it's shown as the binary definition : http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2419
Also some space has been used for iOS, the built-in app and some space is lost due to formatting.
