How Can I Tell if my Macbook Meets Photoshop Requirements

Hi!
I'm looking to get Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom and it lists a specific set of requirements:
Mac OS
Multicore Intel processor with 64-bit support
Mac OS X v10.7, v10.8, or v10.9
1GB of RAM
3.2GB of available hard-disk space for installation; additional free space required during installation (cannot install on a volume that uses a case-sensitive file system or on removable flash storage devices)
1024x768 display (1280x800 recommended) with OpenGL 2.0, 16-bit color, and 512MB of VRAM (1GB recommended)†
Internet connection and registration are necessary for required software activation, membership validation, and access to online services.‡
I know what my RAM is.  But I don't know if I have a Multicore Intel processor with 64-bit support.  I also can't seem to find the year purchased in my registration (and this is often what people reference when giving advice on this - even the Mac website).
Thanks for your help and time!

    I was sent an email which I thought was legit . I opened an attachment (zip file) but nothing in it. I phoned the bank to double check, and of course the email was bogus. How can I tell whether my macbook air version now has a virus?

    No Mac viruses are propagated through email.
    Be vigilant for suspicious activity as you normally should be, but do not download or install some "anti-virus" utility in an effort to fix a problem that does not exist. That's a well-worn path to certain misery.

  • How can i tell if the macbook pro is of the Highest quality?

  • How can I tell if my macbook pro has been restored to factory settings?

    I just bought I brand new macbook pro (15,4 inch) from an official apple store... but I'm thinking that it may be used (it was a bit dirty when I opened it, but it has no scratches).
    I tried with coconut battery, but it went ok, the battery is new. However they might have changed it.
    Is there a way to know if the mac was restored to factory settings?
    ... if not, is there any other way to know if is a used laptop?
    Thanks,

    cycle count says 1... wich correspond to the initial battery discharge I just did. That's why I think they may have changed the battery.
    Serial number is C02FHFG0DF8V... how can you tell if this correspond to a refurbished unit?
    It has all the "official" envelops of a brand new mac... the thing is that I found small dust specks all over the interior of the box and in the accesories (not on the notebook itself).
    According to coconut "Age of your Mac" is 11 weeks.
    That's why I thought the only way I could knew for sure if they used it before (maybe for showcasing at the store) was finding out if it was restored to factory settings. (Also I bought it in an official apple store).

  • How can I tell if my MacBook Pro has a Retina display?

    I am happy to say, that I am the PROUD OWNER of a 15" MacBook Pro and I don't know if the one that I have has a Retina display built into it.
    I was looking on the forums, to see if I might be able to get away with installing a copy of Windows 7 Pro (32-bit) via USB and I noticed that one of the forums said that you could, if you had a MacBook Pro that has a Retina display built into it.
    I would very my like to know if there's a way to find out or if there's a website that I can check out that would be able to guide me in the right direction.
    PLEASE HELP...IF I CAN DO IT, IT WOULD SAVE ME A LOT OF MONEY FROM HAVING TO BUY A NEW COPY AND I CAN STILL GET THE DRIVERS FROM THE BOOTCAMP TO PULL IT OFF.

    as per bootcamp:

    Yes, your USB will be recognized afterward.

    And if you run the Activity Monitor found in Utilities, you can check the type of each of the processes in the Kind column.
    If the Kind column is not displayed, Control-click on the column headers to enable.

  • How can I tell users what the password complexity requirements are in OWA 2013?

    I'm writing this question so I can also provide the answer, because I couldn't find an answer online anywhere.
    The goal was to edit the password change page to put the complexity requirements on it so users know what's expected when they change their password in OWA (Exchange 2013).  I wanted to customize a web page somewhere to tell users what characters they
    needed to put in their password to be accepted when we have the complexity requirement turned on in the default domain policy.  (The extra words are to help search engines find this when people are searching for a solution to this.)
    All I could find were outdated instructions for 2010 and 2007, which did not work.
    Answer forthcoming...

    The answer I came up with was to edit the "ChangePassword.ascx" file found at C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V15\ClientAccess\ecp\PersonalSettings as below:
    First, find:
             <div>
                <asp:Label ID="lblPersonalSettingPasswordAfterChange" Text="<%$ Strings:OwaOption.PersonalSettingPasswordAfterChange %>" runat="server"  umc-slabdescription="true"
    aria-hidden="false" cssclass="dscrptn"></asp:Label>
            </div>
    Then, right after that, add your verbage within another DIV tag as such (you can even use an unordered/bulleted list):
    <div>
    PASSWORD REQUIREMENTS<br />
    Your new password must:
    <ul><li>be at least 8 characters long,</li>
    <li>contain at least one letter (a,b,C,D), </li>
    <li>contain at least one number (1,2,3,4), </li>
    <li>contain at least one symbol (.*#$@&),</li>
    <li>NOT contain your name, </li>
    <li>and not have been used before.</li></ul>
    <br />
    </div>
    This works if you're choosing to go change your password, but I still need to see if it works when a change is required at first login - that feature is broken again but I'm hoping CU3 will fix it.  Seems MS breaks that feature with every other update.

  • How can I tell the dpi on iPhoto?

    I have had a request to send a photo of my artwork. The request states that it needs to be "at least 300 dpi at 8 inches X 10 inches." How can I tell if my images meet this requirement?
    Thanks!

    DPI is not a setting - it is a calculation - DPI  --  Dots Per Inch  --  as you remember from sixth grade math per means divided by - - Dots per inch is Dots (pixels in this case) divided by inches
    So to print a 8" x 10" photo at 300 DPI you need a minimum of 8*300 x 10*300 dots - so if your photos is 2400x3000 or larger you got it

    My macbook pro no longer connects to my TV with the mini dvi to hdmi adapter. A while ago the computer fell down and hit the cable. How can I tell if the computer is working ok. Doesn't show mirroring any more. Was working while watching a movie but when I pulled it out from the computer and put it back in the system would no longer mirrorr the screen on the TV.

    The best option is an appointment at an Apple store genius bar.  The evaluation will be for FREE!

    I've had my MacBook Pro Retina since the 17th and am only now realising that my firewall was not on. I've already connected to a network via ethernet at my job so that I can have access to the internet. How can I tell if my personal info is safe?
    As long as you are behind a router, you don't need to have your firewall turned on at all, in fact it probably slows your computer and/or internet connection down a bit. The only time you need it is to either protect yourself against intrusion from others on your local network or if you hook your computer directly to a cable / DSL modem. • Upload dell printer software on my macbook, how can i tell if it is compatible?

    I want to upload dell printer software on my macbook, how can I tell if it is compatible for mac's? I need to print a project for one of my classes and I would like to print at home but we only have a dell printer for my mom's dell laptop and I want to find if the software is mac compatible so I dont have to pay money at school to print it. Can anyone help?

    Simply check developer site, search for that specific printer, and see what they say about compatibility. If you use Lion, connecting printer normally goes to download center, download driver, and you are there.

    hey. i'm about to travel to thiland and i'm thinking to buy there Macbook air\pro. how can i tell if it's fake?
    thnks

    If possible, I'd make sure to register it on Apple's online system at first start IN THE STORE, and verify it is a kosher serial number before walking out. That way you'll be sure to be covered by the warranty. If the machine is fake, Apple's system won't accept the serial number. If it is stolen and already registered to someone else, it won't accept the repeat registration.
