How can I tell if my songs got replaced by Itune version?

I just subscribed to Itunes Match and it has finally uploading 2929 songs. How can I tell which of my songs got matched and I can get a higher quality version from Itunes? I want to replace those songs in my library.
Thanks!

You must enable the "iCloud Status" column. Switch to Song view and pull down View > View Options. Select the option for iCloud Status then close the little window. You will now be able to see the staus of each song. To download matched tracks, delete the original track from the library but do NOT hide the track in the cloud. Then click the download button.

  • How Can I Tell if a Song on My iPhone is in iTunes Match?

I can't tell if my songs are in iTunes Match or not as on my phone scrolling through the list there is no cloud icon but I do have iTunes Match turned on my computer and on my iphone.

Once a track has been processed in iTunes there will be no cloud icon next to the track as long as it is on your local HDD. This means it is "in the cloud." To see the status of the tracks switch to Song view and pull down View > View Options and select "iCloud Status" then close the small window.

  • How Can I Tell if My iPad Air Replacement is New or Refurbished

I'm getting a replacement iPad Air because mine had a problem with it, there were loose magnets in it. I've heard that people have another person's data on apps they have just downloaded and that makes me really uncomfortable.
How can I tell if my replacement is brand new or just refurbished? Is there info in the serial/model number?
    Thanks.

You might hear a lot of things on the Internet but that doesn't make them true.
If you got a refurbished iPad from Apple it would be completely empty.
Refurbished iPads are identified on the packaging.
You can see the model number in Settings > Genera l> About > Model. The model number has a two-letter code, a number and some more letters. The last part stands for the country/region. The first letter can be "F" (refurbished), "M" (normal retail), or "P" (personalized / engraved).

  • How can i tell what computers are authorized with my itunes account?

My iTunes app tells me that I have 5 computers currently authorized with my account. How can I tell which ones they are???  I've checked all of my old desktops and laptops to deauthorize them but they indicate that they were never authorized.  Confusing. Why go to the trouble managing how many are authorized if you don't provide a means to list them???  I realize that I can deauthorize them all (the only choice!) but, in doing so and reauthorizing the ones I need, does this mean that I lose the ability to access previously purchased music on them??  I must say that, for the ease of use of the Apple apps, I expected more.  Thanks:-) !

You cannot. You can see the number of authorised machines.
Go to itunes Store, Select Account from Quick Links on the right.
If you already have 5 authorised but can't remember which the machines are you have the option of once every 90 days to deauthorize all comuters and then individually reauthorising the ones you want.
On each machine in iTunes Click Store > Authorise this computer

  • How can I tell the difference between Academic and non-academic version

I would like to purchase Logic Express on Ebay. The Apple part number is
    MA338Z/A
How can I tell if this is the Academic or non-academic version?
    THanks

ok, but there is no way to tell from the Apple part #?
I thought that the /A might mean Academic but it seems this same part number applies to the non-academic version:
    MA338Z/A
    Thanks

  • How Can You Tell if a Song You WANT to Purchase can be a Ringtone?

Sorry, I would have posted this in the iTunes folder, but it's not allowing me to post there for some reason.
Anyways, does anyone know how you can tell if a song you WANT to purchase is available as a ringtone? I know that if you already have purchased songs then your library will have a ringtone column which let's you know if the song is available as a ringtone. What I specifically want to know is if there is any way to find out if a song you WANT to purchase is availble as ringtone BEFORE you purchase it. I have all appropriate ringtone boxes checked off in preferences and "view preferences." However, when I go to the iTunes store, none of the songs in the store have any information on whether or not they are available as ringtones. I don't want to buy a song, especially if I'm just getting it for ringtone purposes, and then find out that it's not available as a ringtone.
And yes, I have the latest version of iTunes.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. With the purchase of my iPhone I am a first time user of iTunes (I used to use only Rhapsody and Napster). So far iTunes has been a challenge to use. I'm trying to get used to it, but it's difficult. And it seems like basic information, such as if a song is available as a ringtone before purchase, is not easily forthcoming.
Anyways, thanks to all if you have any suggestions.

Okay, I don't know why, but the bell was not showing on the iTunes store. I re-checked "ringtones" on the view preferences and reloaded iTunes and now the bell column is there. Thanks to the both of you.
BTW, there aren't very many songs available for rintones are there? I really miss Cingular's media.net. There's no reason why we shouldn't be able to access that. Media.net has way more options for ringtones then iTunes.

  • How can I tell if a song is store on my phone or in the cloud? (iOS7, iPhone 5s)

Since updating to 7.0.2 i am unable to tell if a song is stored on my phone or on itunes match. I have my phone set to display all music and to download over data. Previously songs that were stored in the cloud would display a cloud icon next to the song name. However, since the update all music appears the same with no dicernable way to tell where it is stored.

Disable iTunes Match on the device, open the Music app and let the content clear out. Then go to Settings > General > Usage and tap Music (you may need to scroll down in the list). Swipe across "all music" and tap DELETE. For good measure do a hard reset on the device by holding down the Power+Home buttons until you see the Apple logo then re-enable iTM. This ought to clear it up.

  • How can I tell if my mbp got trojan like MacDefender?

I want to make sure that my machine is free from those malware. I followed the instruction from the apple site http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4650, seems ok, didn't find any with the common names MacDefender, MacProtector and MacSecurity but how can I be sure it didn't use another name. That malware suddenly popped up but I was able to close, quitted safari, deleted the files and emptied the trash right away. I had like 4 downloads of that macdefender package. It opened and I just didn't continue to install the application, I wonder if it didn't get through. Can somebody help me out on this?

It would be obvious if you had it. You'd have a bright red icon in your menu bar that you couldn't get rid of, and offensive web pages would be popping up unexpectedly.

  • I lost my laptop I didn't back up and I just bought a new one .How can I get all the songs I bought in itunes store back to my new laptop??

    can someone help me please?
I lost my laptop on Monday and I didn't back up. I just bought a new macbook air so I know I have to install all my applications and softwares again but I was told I could get my old itunes library I mean all the music I bought back in my new laptop. can someone tell me how to do it or if I can?

Sorry, but officially Apple does not allow redownloads of purchased items other than iPhone/iPod touch applications and iBooks. It's your responsibility to make backup copies (as iTunes itself advises) in case something goes wrong with your system, as unfortunately it apparently did in your case, and you lose all the information on your hard drive. The official statement of their policy can be found here, among other places.
For apps, look here for instructions on redownloading.  For songs, movies, and videos, if you don't have a backup of your purchased items, either on external media or another computer and don't have them on an iOS device (iPhone, iPod touch, iPad), you're probably out of luck and will need to repurchase your content.
If you have your content on an iOS device, post back and someone here can help you get them restored. Otherwise you can try contacting iTunes Store Customer Service (select the "Music Purchases" or "Video Purchases" category, as appropriate, then "Lost or Missing Items". You'll find either an "Express Lane" button - just follow the instructions to get to the contact form - or an "Email Us" button) ") and explaining what happened. Reportedly in some cases Apple has allowed redownloading on a one-time basis. But don't count on it.
    Regards.

  • HT1711 How can you tell if a song has DRM?

I recently purchased a Sonos speaker system for my home.  I have noticed that I cannot play certain songs from my iTunes on my Sonos system because they were purchased through iTunes pre-iTunes Plus (the songs are DRM).  Is there some kind of filter when browsing through my library to highlight songs that include DRM?

All my iTunes purchases in recent years indicate "Kind: Purchased AAC Audio File". I have not seen "Protected" for a long time.
All iTunes Store music has been DRM-free for quite a while:

  • How can I transfer my purchased songs onto a new itunes?!

    Hi,
So recently my laptop was wiped 'cos it had a load of issues and when it came back they'd put the songs back on itunes but all my playlists and settings had gone.
My phone is now reading the iTunes library as a new one, which is fine because I've got my playlists sorted and stuff so I was planning to just sync it again BUT I have a bunch of songs on my iPhone that I bought, that once I sync up to the 'new' library will disappear because they aren't on the library on my PC!!!
Is there any way I can move them over or save them or something? I really don't want them to go!

    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848
Please note that this feature only works for items that were purchased on the iTunes Store. Any items imported from audio CDs or acquired from other sources will not copy from your device to the iTunes library.

  • How can I move my old songs to my new itunes?

When I open my iTunes store, a blank screen comes up with 'iTunes Store' and the top bar says 'Accessing iTunes Store' but it never loads and the internet connection is fine. Alot of discussions I've seen just say to reinstall iTunes but I don't know if I can have my old music on there. Can I just copy and paste the old songs into my new library?
    Thanks.

Copy the entire /Music/iTunes/ folder from old computer to /Music/ on new computer.
    Launch iTunes.
THhat is all you need to do.

  • How can I tell which apps were purchased on my account?

I did search for answers but couldn't find one that fit.
I have an iPhone and so does our son.
Early on my son purchased apps on my account and downloaded them on HIS iphone.  Eventually, I got him his own iPhone account and so he has also purchsed apps on his own account and downloaded them on his phone.
When we open iTunes and connect his phone, there is a list of apps that are on his phone.
    QUESTION
How can we tell which apps were purchased on HIS iTunes acct and which were purchased on MY iTunes acct?
I don't want to DO anything with the apps, I just want to know one from another.
    Thanks in advance!!

The amount of storage that is shown on the box and in Settings are calculated differently - the package uses 1 billion bytes as a gig (i.e. decimal), whereas in Settings it's shown as the binary definition : http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2419
Also some space has been used for iOS, the built-in app and some space is lost due to formatting.
