How can I remove the entire group "On My iPhone" under contact and notes?

I am using iCloud to sync my contact and notes. It's pretty good right now since it can maintain a signle copy of each without duplicate entries.
However, the outstanding issue is that I want to remove the entire group "On My iPhone" under contact and notes as a lot of duplicates inside there.
How can I do that? Or de-duplicateing the entries there is also fine. Thanks.

I found a solution for this by using iCloud and iTunes. It is applicable to Mac users.
For Contacts
1. Make a source copy of contacts without any duplication in iCloud contact.
2. Remove any groups in Address Book in your Mac, so that the number of contacts in iCloud is equal to that in All Contacts in Address Book.
3. Launch iTunes. Connect your iOS device. Go to Summary tab. Mark "Back up to iCloud" button
4. Go to Info tab, Click "Sync Address Book Contact" and then select "All contact"
5. Check "Contacts" under "Replace information on this iPhone" at the bottom.
6. Click "Apply" button at the bottom of the iTunes.
Your iOS device will be replaced with the "Contacts" from Address Book with "On My Mac" group, which contains zero contacts records.
7. Uncheck "Sync Address Book Contact" again. A dialog box appears, stating that iTunes will no longer sync contacts to your iOS device. Click "Remove contacts" button in the dialog box.
8. Click "Apply" button at the bottom of the iTunes.
9. After sync, you will get a "All on My iPhone" group on your iOS device with zero contacts, one All Contacts showing all contacts records, and the other is the "All iCloud" group containing the source copy from iCloud.
For Notes
1. Make sure you have a me.com account enabled in your iCloud for Mail & Notes sync
2. Using Mail, you can move and de-duplicate the notes and make a final copy in the Notes under iCloud. Clear all notes records under other sources. e.g. On My Mac, Gmail, etc.
3. Launch iTunes. Connect your iOS device. Go to Summary tab. Mark "Back up to iCloud" button
4. Go to Info tab, Click "Sync notes" under Other section
5. Check "Contacts" under "Replace information on this iPhone" at the bottom.
6. Click "Apply" button at the bottom of the iTunes.
Your iOS device will be replaced with the "notes" from Mac with "On My Mac" group, which contains zero notes records.
7. Uncheck "Sync notes" again. A dialog box appears, stating that iTunes will no longer sync notes to your iOS device. Click "Remove notes" button in the dialog box.

9. After sync, you will no longer get any accounts in Notes. The only copy of Notes is from iCloud.

Not sure what you mean by "reset" your iCloud account, but if you want to clean up other data, just delete it from the apps on your phone that are syncing with iCloud, or from icloud.com. They will be simultaneously deleted from iCloud and any devices syncing with iCloud.
Similarly, if you delete photos from your my photo stream album, they will be deleted from your photo steam and any devices connected to your photo stream. If you want to save them first, open the my photo stream album, tap Edit, tap the photos to select them, tap Edit, tap Save to Camera Roll.

The suggestion given would be applicable to your Premiere Elements 12 on Windows 7.
As an aside, have you updated 12 to 12.1 yet? If not, please do so using an opened project's Help Menu/Update. The major perk of the update
is that it corrects an Expert workspace Text/Style issue. There are other less defined advantages included.
Please let us know if the suggestion for Select All worked for you.

Try printing the page as PDF.
From your Safari menu bar click File > Print > Save As PDF then print the PDF file.
If you don't want to do it that way, reset the print system.

Given what is delivered with iBooks Author, I'm afraid that we will not get such easy to use documents.
Searching infos in the iBooks Author documentation available on line is awfully cumbersome and a lot of embedded links are wrongly flagged this way. In the Help files they aren't links but underlined strings.

Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the item that is not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the entry, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.
(Not entirely sure what happens after you click that link, but fingers crossed it should be relatively straightforward.)

How can a Swing JWindow be resized without flickering?

I'm having trouble trying to get a custom UI I have made based on JWindow to resize in an acceptable way due to the amount of flicker.

I have tried various attempts at (manual) double buffering but it seems that nothing can help with the fact that the top window's ComponentPeer is resizing the window and drawing it with a 'stale' view of the layout and then doing the new layout afterwards. This happens for me in Windows XP and Ubuntu Linux under Sun/Oracle Java 1.6.0_u22 (latest), and apparently in Windows 7 too.
I am unsure if this is a bug, defect or is this way by design. I also notice that Netbeans suffers from the same issue on resizing but Eclipse does not. Does this mean that Swing is currently incapable of laying out/painting a top level Component to a back buffer before drawing to the screen? Does this affect/annoy anyone else?
Or if not, any ideas how a smooth redraw can be achieved?
I understand that this issue does not bother everyone, but for custom UIs like the one I am trying to achieve the result is not really acceptable.
Any help much appreciated!

Thanks that's an interesting approach, I think I may use...
AWTUtilities.setWindowShape(jWindow, newshape)...on a JWindow set to be the same size as the entire desktop as I need the UI to remain in place whilst allowing mouse and key events to reach other applications.
Does any one think it would be worth submtting a bug report or feature request for the desired behaviour?
That is: getting top level (heavyweight) containers to layout and repaint into a back buffer, and provide this buffer to the underlying window manager during the resize so that 'stale' window layouts are not drawn to the screen during resizing. This is the way SWT appears to function and so should be possible in theory.

Yes, you can Copy/Paste a group of fields (or entire page with Select All), formatting is retained.
If you want a new form with the same fields the easiest/best method is to "Duplicate" the form from the "My Forms" tab, click on the form to select and click "Duplicate" on the top toolbar (also available in the context menu when you right click on a file).
With "Duplicate" any "Show/Hide" logic is also retained and you have the option to copy responses as well.

How can I reinstall Safari 8.0 without disturbing anything else? I have OS X 10.10.1 Yosemite & Safari 8.0 (that comes in it) installed on a MacBook Pro laptop and a Mac Mini tabletop computer. I want to access internet banking which goes without problems on the laptop but does not work on the tabletop. The latter says "somebody tried to display the application in a frame..." whatever that means and obviously for safety reasons I can not start banking it always comes back to the screen with this warning. I tried Mozilla FireFox on the tabletop Mini and everything works fine including the banking. A Mac expert suggested something is wrong with the Safari settings and I should reinstall it. How do I do this without reinstalling the System? Would it suffice to wipe out the Safari Preferences and start anew? I am looking for somebody's advice more experienced than I am. Thanks!

Before you try to do any uninstall/install stuff let me suggest you something:
Create a new user and check if the same happens within its account. You could do so by going trough the following steps:
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Users & Groups.
Click the lock icon to unlock it, then enter an administrator name and password.
Click Add below the list of users.
Click the New Account pop-up menu, then choose a type of user. - Standard user account would be perfect here.
Enter a full name for the new user. An account name is generated automatically. To use a different account name, enter it now—you can’t change it later.
Enter a password for the user, then enter it again to verify. Using a password hint is recommended to help the user remember his or her password.
Click Create User.
Now Logout from your account (⌘⇧Q) and Login to the one you have just created. This account is fresh without any changed settings(as a new instance would look like).
Check if the same would happen and you would see if this is an issue with your installation or something more general.

You may have installed the "VSearch" trojan. Remove it as follows.
Malware is always changing to get around the defenses against it. These instructions are valid as of now, as far as I know. They won't necessarily be valid in the future. Anyone finding this comment a few days or more after it was posted should look for more recent discussions or start a new one.
Back up all data before proceeding.
Step 1
From the Safari menu bar, select
          Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
Uninstall any extensions you don't know you need, including any that have the word "Spigot," "Trovi," or "Conduit" in the description. If in doubt, uninstall all extensions. Do the equivalent for the Firefox and Chrome browsers, if you use either of those.
Reset the home page and default search engine in all the browsers, if it was changed.
Step 2
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
/Library/LaunchAgents/com.vsearch.agent.plist
Right-click or control-click the line and select
          Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item named "com.vsearch.agent.plist" selected. Drag the selected item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password.
Repeat with each of these lines:

The problem may have started when you downloaded and ran an application called "MPlayerX." That's the name of a legitimate free movie player, but the name is also used fraudulently to distribute VSearch. If there is an item with that name in the Applications folder, delete it, and if you wish, replace it with the genuine article from mplayerx.org.
This trojan is often found on illegal websites that traffic in pirated content such as movies. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect more of the same, and worse, to follow.
You may be wondering why you didn't get a warning from Gatekeeper about installing software from an unknown developer, as you should have. The reason is that the Internet criminal behind VSearch has a codesigning certificate issued by Apple, which causes Gatekeeper to give the installer a pass. Apple could revoke the certificate, but as of this writing has not done so, even though it's aware of the problem. This failure of oversight has compromised both Gatekeeper and the Developer ID program. You can't rely on Gatekeeper alone to protect you from harmful software.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
          Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.
