Hi i know there is a phone tracker but how do you use it??
only way is to in advance install the find my phone app and add the phone with the free mobileMe mail find my phone service
and even then it only works until somebody restore the phone to factory default
so if you didn't add the find my phone setup then you can't
if you did then the find my phone website will show it's location on a map

The find my iphone app has nothong to do with it.
That app simply allow you to find other devices using your ipod. It has nothing to do with fining the device on which it is installed.
If you set up the find my ipod feature that is built into your ipod and the ipod is on and it is connected to wi-fi and it has not been restored, then you may be able to get an approximate street address using icloud.
Othrewise, it cannot be tracked. -

If you enabled Find My iPhone, you can log into www.icloud.com using your AppleID and track or block it (assuming it's still turned on and connected to a network). If you didn't enable Find My iPhone, you can't track it.

I'm sorry to learn your phone was lost, that's a real bummer! I see you've posted in the forum for Android devices. Have you by any chance downloaded the app called "Find My Droid"? If so, you will be able to locate it. The GPS on the device is not for locating a lost phone, currently it can be located if calling emergency services.
If you are unable to locate it, I'd like to ask if you have insurance on it? If so. you are able to file a claim at 888-881-2622 or phoneclaim.com/verizon

My iPhone 4 has been lost recently. I had turned my Find my iPhone enabled and my passcode was also on. Now that I lost my phone, the person who find my phone cannot be tracked in my assumption. Because, he can never get connected to other wifi when unknown passcode is there. So, please tell me any suggestions that helps me find my iPhone or track it.

Nepal.If you can go to https://www.icloud.com/#find - sign in and then click on your device
If who ever has your phones - tries to unlock it while connected in any manner - you will be able to see the location on the icloud site

If the iPhone doesn't appear in Find My iPhone, then unless your carrier has their own tracking service there is no way to locate it. And if it's turned off, there's no way to cause it to make any sort of noise.

i lost my iphone a cpl off weeks back and reported it to the local police then four days later a local taxie driver handed me it back it was working for a cpl off days then was blocked when i phoned up to find out why they just said it was reported as lost or stolen now i have my phone back is there any way off getting them to unlock it again ??

it wouldnt be sorted out as apple cannot unblock phones from a network they dont own or control and apple does not have any cellular network to block and if you get a samsung and it gets blocked it is the carrier doing the blocking not samsung you need to contact voda phone and tell them you want to elevate this issue to a higher level of customer support as they are the only place that can help you what will you for just wait for if you do not contact voda phone nothing will happen your phone being blocked has nothing to do with apple might as well go ask your neighbor to unblock it -

You can't track it via IMEI number, the only way that you could potentially track it is if had Find My iPhone enabled on it (if you did have it enabled then you could try locating it either via http://icloud.com on a computer or Find My iPhone on another device).
If you haven't already done so then you should report it to the police. You should also contact your carrier and change your iTunes account password, your email account passwords, and any passwords that you'd stored on websites/emails/notes etc.
